If you love molotov, you have to try Farófias... it's similar to molotov but instead of caramel it is served with a eggy-lemony-cinnamony custard. My recommended spot for this delicacy is a restaurant in Almeirim (rural portugal) the restaurant is called "O Forno" While there try the local speciality "sopa da pedra" (literally translated stone soup) - a slightly spicy soup with lots of meats and "enchidos" (chorizo is an example of enchido, it's an tripe encased roll of meats and blood sausages). Another local product is "caralhota" a type of bread that is dense, good to dip on your "sopa da pedra".
We loved Bonjardim and Mantegaria also! We Were in pasteis de nata heaven as our hotel served it for bfast daily! Bifana and cod pastry in O Trevo were mediocre (we just happened to chance upon it so went in for snacks). Loved Lisbon, hopefully we can go back again. Will keep your video in mind.

Very nice video! Also, even though the video shows the Bacalhau in the grocery store as salted fish, for the benefit of the US viewers, Bacalhau is called Salt Codfish. Calling it just Cod would mean to an American (and maybe to people from other countries), that it is the fresh kind of cod, the one that is not pre-salted for long storage purposes.
Thank you for the clarification! Most (but no all) cod recipes in Portugal are prepared with salted fish, unlike in Spain, where we tend to use fresh cod. The interpretative center for cod in the centre of Lisbon is a wonderful place to get acquainted with the reasons for that choice. All the best!
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal Thank you for your prompt response. I’m very familiar with bacalhau. Ramiro is a rip-off ! We had dinner for 4 women and one man a couple of weeks ago. Please we had enought, give us back our city. mass tourism destroyed Lisbon. Think in the locals.
Sie haben Recht !!! Mein Sohn ist gerade in Lissabon !!! Er sagt: schade für diese wunderschöne Stadt !! Zuviele Touristen !!! Die Einheimischen tun ihm sooo leid !!!!
Sie flüchten schon aus der Stadt !!! Ich würde diese Menschenmassen auch nicht ertragen !!!! 😢
I have been in most European countries but Portugal was complete disappointment! Compared to other countries people's hospitality is the worst, and trip was not worth it. In 3 restaurants I could not get bacalao because they did not go to the market that day?? In the center of Lisbon. Btw, your advice about restaurants in Madrid is complete miss, did you notify owners before getting there??
Go away
Maybe it's you. Detect a pattern?
se você for assim em todo o mundo, é melhor você ficar em casa, e faça turismo em casa, mas sem criados...
Treat others the way you want to be treated😌😌😌 i have a feeling you dont.
