Is it just me, or do atheists seem to be either narcissistic, directionless, have higher levels of anxiety, or some combination? Lately I've wondered if having and practicing some religious beliefs reduces those because you're humbled by a higher being, you tend to apply the teachings of your faith to most aspects of your life, and openly commune and support each other in times of crisis.
There is a 3rd option. Understand life is suffering, it’s only up to us to make it worth living, find solace and making the right choices (the right choices are just simple: DONT MANIPULATE OR HURT OTHER PEOPLE to get what you want in life). It’s not about a god or no god being right or wrong, try giving the thought that scripture doesn’t matter, how you treat yourself and other people does.
Yeah that is what is in many religions, ill even argue this, You can justify anything in a atheistic worldview, and you cannot determine what is good and what is not.

All the advice we need is NEVER manipulate, invalidate, or harm another human, no matter what we slightly/majorly disagree on. I’m only agnostic (I don’t want to assume what is the afterlife, but I feel there is more to life than meets the eye), but after growing up in a family that was incredibly judgmental to the women/LGBT in my life, yeah, I’m choosing to heal people than support a place of false perfection. Personal belief in a religion is a healthier outcome than blindly following a baptist pastor who’s gonna tell you “the world is ending and it’s all the gays fault” (true story)

Eh, most inconsistencies can be solved if you looked at the Bible through the historical context of when it was written. Most contradictions/inconsistencies arise due to very fundamentalist/modernist interpretations. Knowing Hebrew and Greek also helps to clear some of them up since translations to English especially aren’t perfectly interchangeable.
Anyways, I highly doubt that he broke down the Bible point by point as it’s something I always see reddit tier atheists declare whenever they’re ranting about religion but citing a couple of verses from Scripture to argue your point, they’ll act clueless, ignore you or strawman you.
