I first heard about Vaush while watching a panel debate with him on The Crucible. Can't remember the exact topic anymore but I remember hearing him say something along the lines of "just because you have the urge to do something doesn't mean you will act on it." Yeah pretty much. I have a very cynical viewpoint towards a lot of foreign cultures, because more often than not their countries fucking suck because their culture is dated and violent, and yet I have never seen or heard from people belonging to these cultures and thought any assumptions about them. There’s a lot of muslims in my town and most of them are just uhm….batshit fucking insane, yet I’ve never found myself thinking “ah, this is why Muslims suck…because they’re clearly insane” I’ve always thought “THESE Muslims are insane. I haven’t met all Muslims”. People like vaush make me realise that I somehow see the world with more nuance than the so called open minded ones.
