Freedom on Two Wheels: Vstar USA Adventure

In the summer of 2022 I embarked on an epic motorcycle adventure across the United States on my 22-year-old Yamaha Vstar 1100. I bought the bike off of Facebook marketplace and did not have the skills to ride it home (only 9 miles away). After a little bit of practice and a few rides down to the beach, off I went.
From the bustling streets of New York to the breathtaking landscapes of the West Coast, I rode through 32 states, encountering everything from scorching heat to pouring rain.
The original plan was to go from NY to Key West, FL. I ended up riding through NY, NJ, DE, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, back up to NC, TN, AR, OK, TX, NM, AZ, NV, CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, CO, back through WY to SD, MN, IA, MO, KS (just over the border to eat), IL, IN, OH, PA, then NJ and back to NY. 32 different states, 346 gallons of gas in 137 different gas stations, 2 oil changes, one graduate online class, and 0 tickets. I rode early, late, alone, with groups, through rain, 104 degree heat, at sea level, at 11,700ft. I rode on interstates, single lane roads, and a few gravel roads. I saw all sorts of animals and maybe even a squatch after I drove through that tree. I ate good food, bad food, and everything in-between. I met dozens of strangers and visited family. I tried new things and saw new places. I learned a ton.

Thanks for sharing your travels on the v-star. I have been searching UA-cam to see if there is anyone who has traveled very long distances on the v-star and you are the only person with such extensive footage. Your video is very motivating.
