Very rare times when you can say that something is so perfect...this IS that time. This is the most perfect 55 Chevy, or most perfect vehicle ever. The engineering and final finish is absolutely perfect. The colors go well together, the WHOLE THING IS PERFECT!
This is one of the most well engineered cars I've ever seen. When someone says its a multi million dollar car, you would immediately think trailor queen. This car says road trip. Very well thought out.
Other then my 70 Cuda the 55 Chevy is my all time favorite car, when I was a kid my father had a red and white 2 door hardtop I absolutely loved that car. This car is an absolute beast ....geez ! What a build ....what a sound! Shawn you have no idea how much I look forward to all of your videos....they really give me a break from this crazy world !
@@AutotopiaLA I cannot believe the level of detail.....the seat set up is similar to what I always wanted to use, although I envisioned Mercedes SL seats with the integrated seat belt I love the idea of it visually neat and also the belt being tight around the shoulder. I have to say IMO that truthfully the level that this car is done is beyond anything you have shown before I know you had a 49 Ford I think that was 7 figures but this build is by far the most extreme.
The looks and sound of this car just screams "bad-ass" in every way! I would have LOVED to see that darker brass trim on it though. Brass with the blue and those wheels just fits.
Spectacular car but I view it more as a work of art , a museum piece , over a fully functional automobile . While I appreciate the thought and the amount of work & attention to detail , that goes into building a machine like this I'm more of a driver kinda guy .

wow......just......wow...... It doesn't matter how much i hate the wheels. Or how much i DETEST the color brown. The meticulous nature of the owner/builder is what made it come to life. As a meticulous perfectionist myself i respect the shit outta that. Just wish the car had like white interior and chrome wheels on that blue. But it aint my car. Absolutely phenomenal build man. Phenomenal.

He was indeed....he was Barry Whites designer and parts orderer for quite awhile..... he does have some skills....i however would like to applaud the skills of the folks at Gabe’s Custom Interiors..... I think those guys deserve way more attention than they get..... in most shows they’re just a footnote yet without them these cars wouldn’t look anything like they do.....
It got absolutely robbed. The car that won didn't even have all custom parts.. They only won cause the show was trying to send a message that not only multi millionaires can win, so they gave it to an inferior "family" built car.
Usually these customs cars have upholstery done in a way that does not look like factory. This interior literally looks like a factory Bentley interior if not better. Nothing else to say. Simply a work of art Stunning build.

I'm currently building a 55 on a budget and THIS is what can be achieved with a true designer on your build team and lots of cash. Absolutely stunning. Details are key to unique builds. I remember an episode of bitchin rides where Dave said something about parking your 55 beside his is not a good idea. Ha. Not knocking Daves 55 because there is a huge difference in Ridler builds. I'd love to see it in person

That is the most beautiful Tri-5's ever. The attention to detail was just awesome and the front end being smoothed downward is such a nice detail and the V's in the interior. Would love to have a brother copy of this car!

Is this kind of talent a gift or curse? Perfectionism is a double-edged sword (and doesn't *truly* exist, outside of the *concept* of perfection, BTW). This car is a perfect example (no pun intended, but the pun is not a coincidence, either) of this self-canceling commitment to perfection in *both* areas of performance and aesthetics. This car was clearly an attempt to have one's cake and eat it too, but ultimately, it will only end up as a show car that no one really wants to drive because of the destructive effects of driving an extremely expensive one-off high performance vehicle in a high performance manner. Personally, I think TOO MUCH emphasis was put into aesthetics, but I'm a function-over-form guy. I just can't justify form-over-function, especially to this degree. You can rationalize anything you want, but rationalization is not justification; it's just rationalization.
