I started running this rig on both outboard outriggers last year. Was new to off shore. Saw the set up on another channel. These by far produce more fish strikes than single balihoo or skirts. Catch tuna, bonita, kings, and mahi on these. Will say the weeds are a pain, and will be setting a few up like you have shown here.

Hi, thanks for the tips. I'm a new subscriber expat American over here in Indonesia for retirement. Mahi mahi season starts up around the month of August here in the Bali-Lombok Strait. Seaweed farming is big here so naturally we have lot of weed in the water so I'm very
interested in trying this rig.
Just as a theory why the weedless daisy chain works, namely the smaller hookless squids attract the "peanuts" and the action of all the peanuts pulls up the bulls to have a look. So you're not wasting time cleaning weeds and throwing back peanuts. I'm thinking this would make a fun experiment trying two chains side by side, one with hooks on all the baits and one with the weedless setup.

Awesome - anyone make weedless 7/0 hooks? I am thinking like you do for bass fishing? There is a lot of weed offshoe this year, weedless setups are the key

I just attach my own snip the ring off 1 end and replace it with a splut ring. Im sure you can find them somewhere all made up but idk where.

Hi, have you ever had bites on the smaller squids while trolling this? I have heard of guys putting a hook on all of the squids just in case😊
