Santa Cruz holds a special place in my heart. Growing up there, I have fond memories of fishing on the Wharf as a kid and, later, busking as an adult, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, delicious restaurants, and stunning views. One moment that stands out is from the winter of '62 when I saw a large sailboat washed ashore on the beach nearby. It was a powerful reminder of the beauty and might of nature-a lesson Santa Cruz has always been good at teaching.
