Thank you so much for doing this! Great info! Personally, my favorite pancake mix is the Member's Mark brand at Sam's Club. No need to add anything to it and it's really good, not to mention, it comes in a 10 lb bag so it lasts a while.
Johnny, I just finished your pancake production, and it was great because of your dry sense of humor and your laid-back approach. I’m not a fan of thick syrup soak-up pancakes, as I prefer them paper thin, but this was fun. I was wondering about cost comparisons. That seems like it would be a big factor since there were a few pancake brands that seem to be about in the same ballpark.❤️🙏👏❤️🙏👏❤️
Howdy Johnny, Appreciate yours and Liam's sacrifice having to eat all those pancakes for us. Liam gets bigger in each new video now. Agree not a fan of Pearl Milling not having a liner in the box. My favorite pancake mix is Cousin T's Sweet Potato Pancake Mix when available. They have instructions on the box to make the pancakes "Gourmet" if ya want to or just add water. Have A Day! ;~)
Yeah sometimes Johnny you just got out a little bit more baking powder to air them up a little bit better it seems to lose its ability when it comes in a mix
The best pancakes are scratch buttermilk pancakes. But I get it, not everyone keeps buttermilk at home. I do because I like to have a few sips a day for the probiotics. So I usually make from scratch (someday I’ll send you my recipe). That said, for flavor, I prefer Hungry Jack. For convenience, I like Krusteaz…Only have to buy one bag to feed a family reunion. If it is just the two of us, a half cup of Hungry Jack and a little water does the trick.
I tried a “hack” i saw this morning where you get a bag of Martha White muffin mix, add 2/3 cup of water, and one large egg for flavored pancakes. Made the blueberry. They were really good. Made about 5 really large ones but should probably make 7 or 8 average size. Definitely a really good way to make a quick, easy, and tasty flavored pancake.
Years ago, I worked in the Institutional food business. I worked for a food broker who represented food manufacturers. We were the boots on the ground sales force that would go to wholesalers such as Sysco, US Foods and make calls on their customers to show new products of the manufacturers my company represented. One of the manufacturers we represented was Krusteaz. I toured their facility in Kent Washington. Pancake mix is just one of a thousand mixes that they make. Great people. Great products. Great video.
Great review as always. Go woke, go broke, would not buy pearl milling if it was the only one left. Aunt Jemima was a sweet looking lady who everyone I knew loved.
As a father of three, I love watching you get your little helper involved..
Thanks Patrick.
No fluff, no fuss, no muss (whatever the "muss" is)... just to-the-point content, keepin' us griddle fans informed! Keep up the good work!
Thanks my friend
Krusteaz Sweet Cream is by far the tastiest pancake mix I’ve ever used. I go out of my way to get it.
My go to for many years is Hungry Jack Buttermilk mixed with milk instead of water. Really steps it up.

Thanks Greg!! I don't remember for sure but they were all within a dollar of each other.
Thanks for the sacrifice you made!

Sweet potato! I've never seen those. I need to give them a try.
I’m sure your precious helper is super pumped to have pancakes all week.
Oh ya! Our freezer is packed now.
@@JohnnyBrunet Perfect. Thanks for the all you do for us amateurs

Thanks for bringing up the boy right. Soon you'll just be running the camera and you get him doing that cooking 😊😊
Thanks Ross!
I ran out of mix a couple weeks ago. I will probably get Pearl Milling or Hungry Jacks.
Krusteaz are the best
Great video. Very well done
Thanks Mike!
The Joey Chestnut of pancakes!

Anthony's Premium Buttermilk Powder.
It would be interesting to see a comparison of home made mix recipes. Figure out the cost of making home made vs. store bought mix.
I had it in my list to compare some scratch recipes, but I never thought about figuring out the cost comparison. That's a t great idea, thank you!
Excellent video. I really need to know which pancake was approved by your son.

Interesting, I need to try that.

That's a cool job! Ya when I worked in commercial kitchens I used some of there other products. They were all good.
Prediction, krusteaz
I lost, lol
I love Krusteaz anything. the muffins are great. The belgian waffle mix is top tier.

Have you ever tried the cracker barrel mix? I love the cracker barrel pancakes, but never tried the mix myself.
They have that mix at my Kroger. It’s great my 3 kids love it.
I have not tried it. I'll look for it.
Johnny, how does it feel to eat thirty pancakes?
I feel like it's my greatest life achievement lol!!! In all Honesty I froze about half of the.
Adding vanilla to pancakes is a brilliant idea! Cool video! Thanks for spending the time and money to make it.
and some nutmeg

Thanks for watching!
Show idea: which 🥓 brand is the best.
That's a great idea!
Pro tip…..McDonald’s actually has good pancakes.
Do you ever make your own pancake mix from scratch? I always tell myself I will, but can't resist the convenience of the premade😬
No I'm the exact same as you. I've only done it twice and specifically for video purposes.
That’s a lot of pancakes. Now you have to make some bacon.
