Really glad I found a file for literally the entire Model that has these modifications For free on a certain website, And downloaded it This way if it ever does get taken down from the site I can still print it on my brother's printer And I can scale it down to be an equivalent for a dreadnought
Hey again, just got the combat patrol. Thanks for the info about the custom job, looks great. Just wondering, is it preferable to make the custom dreadknight while assembling it or if I should wait until after assembly like you? Thanks again!
I got the hex fire box from GW, the baby carrier dreadknight looks so awful. I’m going to get the conversation kit after watching this video, it looks very straightforward. I might actually try to magnetize the arms as welll too. Thanks for the informative video.
@@galharen technically, yes. I don't know if you're following the Games Workshop saga, but they've been cracking down HARD on 3rd party content creators. Both in the 3d printing space and in fan animations/videos. They've also released rules stating people can't use converted or 3d printed parts in official GW tournaments. I don't remember the full rules, but there's very minor leeway.
@@silentedict4256 no, I was not following any tournament restrictions. I just don't play at such events where I can't use any non-gw conversions and so on.
Did u bought resin or plastic ? I ordert plastic and got transparent kits. I think it was resin and a wrong order. But i got my kit a year ago. Also have Antonius ✌🏻

now if it's not parts from the original model It's still counts as a conversion, Because I mean there's A Resin kit you can purchase For a gundam model in the master grade Series of the dual gundamWith the assault shroud To turn it into the BLU dual gumdom And it comes with even more weaponry and different armor and it looks way cooler That is classified as a conversion kit
I don't like this kit. Original dreadknight has some posability issues which can be adressed by cutting up some joints. This one looks even more stiff, has awful proportions and overall looks like an offbrand imperial knight. Great paintjob though!

Yo what website? Can I have the link?
@@frankebengtsson6932 no one can do that cause it'll cause gw to take it down
Looks good. I'm excited to see what kind of effects and conversions are being created as more and more people get into 3d printing.
This is exactly what I was looking for, great job!:)
great video, also for everyone new coming know that the conversion kit is available online for like 35 dollars
Hello, may you add the link for the conversion files so I can buy the same you used?
i bought the conversion kit also going to build grand master with it tuvm for the video mate
Keep me updated how it turned out:)
I recommend you share the link to the creator of the 3d files in future, even though a quick google finds it. Otherwise this is tops!
I liked the flat head as a drill bit

If you want to make such conversion, I would do it at the assembling stage, much easier to fit all parts:)

Thanks, it means a lot to me:) be sure you follow my channel for my Grey Knights stuff:)
I love the baby carrier. Its pretty unique looking to me.
But I would also like the Dreadknight to have a version with an entombed Astartes in there.
This is awesome as hell! I’m thinking I might try something similar! Just one question? What sword did you print?
Awesome conversion! Where can i buy those resin pieces for my dreadknights?
This is awesome.
Thank you!:)
Probably won’t be taking these to Nottingham.
How so? Having bought a gw dreadknight and converting it is forbidden somewhere?

@@galharen yeah, I agree with that sentiment. I wouldn't want to play anywhere I would be penalized for being creative either.
Is it a conversion when you just swap parts?
why not?:)
Yes, it is, Conversions are basically swaping parts, it's not a big conversion but still it is one
Super hobby.

I bought a file and it was printed with resi n. I bought this file like 2 years ago already.
@@galharen Bought the file as well and a friend of mine printed it for me...looks subpar though. Any chance of shipping the parts to Germany? ;D
Nice one
I saw this on TikTok. Thanks for the video.
Kropelka? Czyżbyś był moim rodakiem?
Zgadza się, nieodłączne narzędzie pracy modelarza - kropelka:)

Oh, yeah 3d printer.
Makes sense.
Wow that’s cool I wonder if I can “3D PRINT!” … so it’s not a conversion.

It's all the matter of taste I suppose:) I just present the alternative.
