The "wiggly" highlight technique is absolute genius! I'll use it not only for the sizeable FEC pile of sprues that glare at me accusingly, but for the Deathguard/Poxwalkers too, with all their rags and tattered clothing. Always appreciate the use of combined Contrast paints and standard layer ones for highlights, it's stunningly efficient.
Amazing work, and it's a 26min job! Amazing... It's a presentation of what you can do with Citadel Contrast Paint and getting a very nice look in the end using various techniques. I learned alot looking at this, thank you!
Contrast or speed paint probably - just pick a colour you like and go with that - check out Stahly on Tale of Painters blogs who has really good swatches of the dofferent colours 👍🏻
Thanks for the comment Craig! If i come into posession of a model I'll do it! In the meantime check out my Abhorrent Archregent tutorial - i dhow you how to blend from a light skin colour to a dark skin colour - which will be the same theory!
What do you do if you accidentally get some of the other paints on the contrast green flesh? I don't have the best brush control so normally I do touchups, but I realize you can't just paint over mistakes with contrast, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on how to handle that.
Depends how bad it is - you could cover it with a highlight, or if you are quick enough use a clean wet brush to flood the area and take tha paint off You can also do the flesh last maybe - and other options include painting a simple tattoo or using a decal - you could also paint over it with a red/deep pink and make it a wound

I would love to see a Genestealer Cult Aberrant tutorial. I reckon it would be a fun challenge with the colour blending between the armour and skin.
