    Very interested in this new mark one. I bought the kinetic back in feb. been loving but I do like powerful paddles. This new one is very tempting. Might have to pull the trigger.

    Bought a Kinetic a few months ago & I am really enjoying playing w/it. I enjoy the power, but not sure I'd call it HOT. (I reserve that for a the GBP).. I do wish it had a bit more pop on off center hits, but that may be on me. All that said, it's the best paddle I've tried so far...

    How would the power of the Mark oneX compare to the gearbox and joola gen 3 hyperion?

    Have you played with 11six24's new kevlar Hurache-X or compared it to the Mark OneX?

    • @PickleballMedicine
      @PickleballMedicine  2 місяці тому +1

      I definitely have! Both good paddles, but very different playing styles. The Kevlar hurache is more of an all-court style for play, not too hot and not too flat, and the MarkOne is much more poppy and hard-hitting.

    The site lists the Mark One swing weight as 117.5 and the Mark OneX as 116. Did you measure the paddle swing weight or rely on something else? Thanks

      Hi Nick, that's a very good question. I measure the swingweights of all the paddles I get myself, so whatever number I report comes from me. I've found that some sites report numbers that are wildly off from what I find... so I need to verify myself, haha. You may already know this, but paddles also very their swing weight with their overall weight, too, with some paddles varying less as the overall weight change, and some varying A LOT with overall weight change (like the Ruby, Pursuit Pro MX, ect).. so a number that's 1 or two different from what I get doesn't raise any concern from me... It's the numbers that are reported as 5, even 10+ higher than what I get measured that raise big doubts for me.

      Thanks again. I thought you performed the measurements, but wanted to confirm. It seems some of the paddle manufacturers have listed ranges, based on the same circumstances you describe. At least one other manufacturer has attributed a higher swing weight number to their prototype, with the consumer model 2 to 3 points lower.
