I get them quite often, that’s for exposing the spam
I've probably watched this version 100 times over the years. It never gets old.
Drummer Curtis Moss is a beast. The singer Kala was only 11 at that time. The whole group of them are amazingly talented.
looks like he is still killing it, looks like he started a new channel and uploaded some drum covers about a month ago www.youtube.com/@curtismoss8616
At the time they recorded this the eldest was bassist AJ Allen at 14yo
I remember seeing this years ago and I recognized Kala's singing definitely had potential. To me, her vocals were the weak point of this performance, but still well done given her age.
😲@@heffatheanimal2200
She is now lead singer in a group of younger people, Saving Grace - ua-cam.com/play/PLqSrqF19bFkDT8Fb4Df8xBV08w447qoys.html
The drummer holds this entire mess of timing and chaos in control like a BEAST. The timing changes still are among the best, good on 'em.
nah man that bass is driving this train. I'm a drummer and I'll concede to that.
@@Hobodeluxe960 Hells yeah brother. I am a bass player (forgive me lol) I get what you are saying. Rhythm section leads it all. Drummers make me keep up hehe. All respect friend, God bless.
The bass player and the drummer are driving this. This kicks butt! Thanks Polo for sharing another gem.
The littlest one playing the wood blocks is so adorable, he’s working so hard to keep that rhythm going and got his serious face on 😅👍🏼
He's the one holding it all together.
That made me smile too
His timing is perfect 👍🏽🎼❤️🔥
The singer is Kala Rose, and she now fronts the band, Saving Escape.
"Makes me feel like a horrible parent..." LOL literally laughed out loud at that one haha
6:09 A slappa bass Mun! It's the movie I Love You Man with Jason Segel and Paul Rudd. One of the greats🎉
You should hear that girl Kayla Rose do Crazy Horse. She was so young here but Crazy Horse shows you how far she came in this school. They do the absolute cutest version of Sober by Tool. They use their smallest musicians to great effect.
Yes 👍🏽 react to more of KAYLA’s vocal on the TOOL’S “SOBER” as well as Florence and the Machine’s “COSMIC LOVE”. Kayla’s vocals later on is 10/10 …OMF is 🔥.
Just give your son a musical instrument. A guitar. Or a drum set. Or a bass guitar. There isn’t a kid alive that would turn their back on anything associated with music. Pay for lessons. You nailed it Polo!☮️💟🎼🎹🎸
true to an extent, i mean there has to be an intrest in learning that and if you try to force it they will start resenting it
I have played music all my life. I keep a keyboard, a piano, and 2 acoustic guitars out at all times at home. Music has been my life for a long time. I now have a 7 and 4 year old and no matter what I do they just have no interest in learning. My 4 year old she loves to sing so her and I will play together sometimes where she will sing and I’ll play guitar. I am not going to force it. They both love music and listen to it all the time and it’s around them at all times so it’s there if they want it.
My 12 yr old nephew has been playing the drums for about 4-5 years now and he’s a beast! I freaking love it
@@Dorisasaurus1133
My father (rip) was a professional drummer from the Swing Era and taught my sister and I how to play. We were the only 2 girls in the percussion section in our high school concert and marching band back in 1968. The other band members called us The Bobsey Twins. To this day, I can’t listen to music without playing on my thighs and rocking my feet. Children are curious. If they are introduced to music at the proper age, around 9, 10, or 11, they’ll either pick it up and dig in- or they’ll leave it. Thanks for commenting. ☮️💟
ShadoughA 😂 I can’t stop hearing it. This little band rips 🎉🔥🔥
I come back to this version every so often, it’s just that good. Kayla Rose is all grown up now. They all are.
I love their rendition of Sober. ✌❤
I've been a big Tool fan for a long time. This version is amazing!
The version of Sober from o´Keefe is a good one too!
Greetings from Germany
I'm glad you finally got to watch this. Those kids are amazing! Dive deeper into O'Keefe. All of the covers their kids do are fantastic.
There's like a 7 year old girl who does Freak on a Leash. It's amazing
This is a very intricate song and they sound just like the original! They killed it! Gave me chills! They are all amazing musicians but that drummer is insanely good! That is a very difficult song.
Kids did awesome indeed. Love this cover.
When she hit that very first falsetto note!!!!!!!!!! CHILLS ALL OVER!!!!!!! Bad ass, baby girl!!!!!!
Kid behind the kit .. He is beating the skins like they owe him some money! He is most outstanding!
omg, O'Keefe, keeping metal and punk alive....thank you for checking this out my friend
I Love You Man
Slappa da bass mon!
Love that one.
I could listen to this 100 times over and over and it still wouldn't be enough!! THE DRUMS, THE BASE, THE LITTLE GIRL SINGING, HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!
So glad you are reacting to the kids from O Keefe! They are incredible. There is a rabbit hole just waiting for you to go down!
You're so right! That drummer is killing it! He's a phenom!
I’ve never seen this, and I don’t know how this managed to stay under my radar, but holy crap! I would’ve flipped if I had an opportunity to play a song like this let alone this song. These kids absolutely killed it. Thanks for showing me this..
It truly is spectacular
They have LOTS of videos
That kid drumming is freaking amazing! They all are, but him......damn!
This is a mind blowing performance
Dude the Drummer is killin´ it. He´s so talented about his age. Hope he gots a great future because of it.
Love it so much!🤩
"I'm slappin da bass!!" 🤣🤣Paul Rudd, the legend, in "I Love You Man", great movie with Jason Segal and Rashida Jones.
they also cover sober , sounds really good too
almost all of the O'Keefe kids videos blow me away. I'm especially fond of their cover of Danzig's "Left Hand Black".
Imagine this at a talent show. It would be like, no one else needs to perform, they won :P
I have this and their cover of Sober playing in my car for the past 10 years. They just released a cover of Fade into you by Mazzy Star last week, and I love that rendition of it too.
They SLAY "Crazy Horse" and "Pull Me Under" too.
And Sober. Its so good.
this is no gift, this is dedication and hard work.
That's awesome dude, seen this some years ago and absolutely love tool, and am soo glad that you're getting to experience not only Maynard and his whole genius as an absolute artist, but those kids are sooo incredible!
I follow O'Keefe and this particular video was made years and years ago. All of these kids in the video are grown now and a new generation of kids have taken over and are creating, covering the important music of the past. Check out their channel and see all the gifted young ones in action.. these kids go hard for sure, every single one of them!
The drummer's timing is impeccable. The bass player is also spot on.
The kids are F-ing great. Props to the music instructor and the people who recorded this. Great production as a whole
There's some real nuggets at the KMF page, my 2nd favorite is "1952 Vincent Black Lightning" with 4 different kids on an acoustic guitar, electric bass, maybe a 3 year old on drums and a 6 year old on tambourine keeping beat and a female vocalist that just owns it. She's older than Kala was with a much more mature voice that goes great with that song.
Im SO happy you did this one!! So inspirational and outstanding.. luv you! xo
This is breathtaking.
My goodness.
I Love You Man is the Movie you are thinking of. This performance by these Kids floors me every time I listen to it. The other O'Keefe Music Foundation Tools covers and other Bands are also worth checking out!
Get your Son a Drum Set or a Guitar. Personally I play Guitar, but I watch countless Drummers on UA-cam play, so Drumming would be my second choice.
They do five versions of "The Pot". with five different line ups. With none of the five sounding the like each other. Kayla sings on two of them. She sings and plays guitar on "Sober", and they do a couple more Tool songs. Also check out their cover of Dream Theatre's "Pull Me Under". A couple of Iron Maiden covers, "The Longest Day", "Number of the Beast" and "Ghost of the Navigator".
I've seen Tool probably 15 times and have watched this 150 times at least! I love sending to friends!
ahhhh I can't believe you hadn't reacted to this version yet. It's SO damn good. Thanks for the early Christmas gift :)
Incredible rendition of a highly technical song
That little singer knows how to make a song her own and stay true to the song
Excellent young musicians. Love it. My youngest loves music so much, she got a violin early and went from there to guitar, ukelele, and piano. It taught her to work for it. She is amazing and has a great voice as well. She is in her senior year of college and I have never once in her life, had to tell her to do her practice or her homework, etc. I know music has been incredible for her.
4 Tool members with overdubs VS 9 kick butt kids and teens. They doing a great job. The drummer nailed the hard parts like a champ. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘❤❤ Piano is easier to learn music theory and can transpose easier to other instruments. Drums and percussion is it's own beast. From experience: electric guitars are easier to learn on than acoustic. Fingering an acoustic is more difficult. I'm 52 and been playing guitar for 40 years plus bass for 10 and now piano for 6 months.
Do the Brass Against TOOL covers, especially the Samuel Hope ones. He kills it Lateralus! 🤘🌀🔧
they were defiantly feeling it toward the end. its one of reasons i love playing metal as a bassist, when the chemistry is there and the groove is right there something about it that gets into your chest and brings out an animal that you didn't even know was there.
I wonder if Tool ever saw this cover and what they thought ? The drummer kid is killing it on this track.....kudos to him
Drums. Amazing … what a natural. The lead guitar has his levels perfect on his amp … sounds almost like they’ve sampled it from the original studio version.
You do understand there are engineers behind those sound boards making the tone sound like tool.
And what an awesome job everyone did producing this🙂
Checkout more of them.
They do a great iron maiden 😅
This is my favorite version of the song.
every time I watch this, its the best thing Ive seen that day. incredible.
It's great that music continues to be taught as a full subject in many schools in the UK, Australia, Canada, and beyond. Learning how to read a score whilst still at junior school opens up to schoolchildren the whole world of performance music. Several of my kids and now my grandsons began in Yr 2 choirs, progressed to church or youth choirs and groups, and on to membership of rock bands and orchestras. Nine or ten years of learning how to create music as part of an ensemble is great experience for life and its disciplines. Writing music, creating harmonies, and calculating counterpoint are fine tools for learning maths too.
As an old man and a bigtime tool fan, every time I start to question our youth of the world....I watch this!
Oh and if you really want your mind blown watch the maybe 10yr old girl covering Freak on a Leash by Korn LOL!
Kayla Rose is grown up. She also sings " Sober".
Check out " Crazy Horse" , she rocks that song.
What I love that version is the piano parts add so much
I've loved this for years - all the kids are fantastic - but there are three standouts. The bassist, damn. The drummer, holy crap, And the singer, Kala Rose, who I absolutely fell in love with. Her last performance with the school (she turned 18) has got to be experienced - it really shows that she's got that growl! It's the cover of Crazy Horse. She's still a skinny little waif, but when she starts belting it out, everybody takes notice! Watch it, you won't regret it.
I agree! Love that video!
"Slap a da Base" was from a Rush tribute video where they snuck into Rush's dressing room.
Little rock angel Kala Rose interpretating Maynard at this level at 11 years old just blew me away.
what's so good is this foundation teaches kids not only musicianship but production skills also. from sound engineering to lighting to videography. all for free. I've sent money their way a few times. they're doing food work.
Paul Rudd. The movie is I Love You, Man. Slap'a'da'bass!!
Good reactions, love the admiration and respect for all
This very performance is the one that lead me to listening to TOOL.
Just.... Wow!!! Those kids are outstanding!!! Amazing!!! They executed this perfectly!!!
The movie is called, "I Love You, Man." And it's adorable.
This cover is so sick. You just put a Flyleaf-like Lacy vocalist in lead of a Tool song; beauty happens.
Little Kala Rose 7 years later...Kids' HEAVIEST "Crazy Horse" by Black Label Society (v2) / O'Keefe Music Foundation.
“I love you Man” is the movie reference you were looking for
As talented as these kids are it's a testament to Danny that it takes 4 ppl to do what he does alone
"Slappin' da bass, man!" Lol. (Paul Rudd)
I used to play drums. I wasn't very good but it was a healthy outlet for whatever was going on in my head
They are amazing...love your reaction 😊
You're right, they get it and so much talent.
This was fantastic! The talent, WOW
Epic performance from these kids
I have been following O'Keefe music school for years, this cover is what got me started. They do many other amazing covers worth checking out. Slipknot!
OMG!!! They're good! I agree they are into their art... Their movements and expressions are of artists at work... Bravo! Thanx for sharing that! ✌😎👍
Wow Polo glad you came across this one their awesome ❤
Slappin da bass is from I love you Man Paul Rudd! Hilarious! Perfect timing on that call out lol
Young, talented, professionals and the best Tool cover ever!
My mom started me on accordion, morphed to keyboard, then drums and finally in middle school I learned guitar
Top notch performance.my first time to hear this song and didn’t want to see it end
'Slappin da bass' is from I Love You Man
Yeah this is one of the most impressive covers I've seen of this song TBH. I was impressed by their talents when I 1st seen it. I still find myself coming back to this cover from time to time though :P
I've loved this for many years, glad to see you react to it polo❤
You are right they are amazing and we all need to pour into our kids, whether it is music, sports, technology - let them grow and express themselves!! Thank you for exposing us to this group.
It's so adorable they hired 4 little guys to play Danny's part xd
These kids always kill it!! 😃
LOVE THIS‼️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥✌️ These kids are very talented, I played violin all through school. Orchestra in high school was an easy A, I wish I continued to play afterwards.
The singer, Kayla Rose has her own band now. "Saving Escape". The kids also do Sober.
That kid beats those drums
Slappa da bass!!! .... is from "I Love You, Man"
I remember that scene!!! It's the movie where the dude has to find male friends and he's having his wife listen to Rush for the first time!!✌🐢
I love you man & I love you man! ✌️
Hell yeah these kids got down
Absolutely amazing!!!
Those kids are amazing
If you go to the original video of 46 & 2 with these kids from O'keefe Music Foundation, it got over 29M views. The singer here, Kala Rose has a band in Ohio that she sings & plays guitar.
These kids were sooo amazing! Let’s take a moment to remember that they have 2 guitarists to produce a soundscape almost as good as Adam does by hisself. That’s how freakin good Adam is. Love this version!!
Slappin da bass!!
The movie is called I love you, man.
Every one of these young people just flat out blew this away but I must confess, little rock angel Kala Rose interpretating Maynard at this level at 11 years old is fire.
You can react to any of her videos and be amazed.
