- Here's how my full Goodwin racing exhaust sounds. It definitely wakes the car up a lot and it pulls much harder in the high rpm range. If you guys want, I can also try to record my AEM intake sound for another video.

NC models are fantastic.
When engine is warm I like it to start in second gear and to accelerate til about 60 (100kmh).!!
Probably best not to start in second gear. I sometimes do it by accident when I stop for a pedestrian, but it will really wear the clutch. Just start in first, quickly get to second, then floor it.
I drive a gun metal grey 2014 MX 5 NC. A ten second car. It came out of the box race ready with Le Mans paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Every time I drive it I'm in a James Bond movie. When people see it they ask, 'does it have machine guns behind the fog lights?' The license plate reads 009. It's definitely licensed to kill. Does a 'drift' nicely.
Q branch read out, race ready with paddle shifters. A ten second car, does 0 to 100 mph in ten seconds. Double wish bone suspension and drive while flat tires makes her a nimble cat with tough paws. The body is made of rust resistant steel and carbon fiber (Kevlar) material. It has quarter inch metal armor under the engine and transmission. Stainless steel exhaust. A seven speaker Boise sound system keeps the Bond theme music coming thru 5 by 5.
I used to dislike NC, but in the end, Miata is still a Miata.
since these are less popular, I am going to guess these are cheaper and easier to find and probably cleaner.
Same here bro. Now i own one lol i had a 93 NA. Drove an ND,however the NC was the closest i felt to the NA.

Never liked the MRS,but the car grew on me too.

Mine came with gloss black, I just bought the OEM red dash from an online parts store

I must say the helm holtz mid pipe and super Q muffler has made the difference. Before I only had the skunk alpha 2 header.

I left my heat shield off to give best under hood bling.. the heat from my Catted Goodwin ceramic header stays cool enough as to be no problem

They say of the Miata, 'it's the most fun you can have in a car without a woman'.
The car is very tastefully styled and that exhaust brings out much-needed character in the engine. One important test is missing, however. Get on a freeway and cruise at 70 mph for an hour. Does that deep-throated resonance turn into an exhausting drone at cruising speeds? That is the Achilles heel of so many performance exhausts, and yet they are so rarely demonstrated using this important criterion.
I also hate super droney exhausts and From what I remember, it didn't drone any louder than the wind and road noise due to the resonator in the midpipe. If you swap the RoadsterSport II muffler for the Super Q muffler, which is quieter, I think it would be even more daily driver/highway friendly. Goodwin racing even recommends running the Super Q if you have a full exhaust system
Man, my rear view mirror has suffered the same fate. I don't know what causes this but it seems NC miatas are notorious for having Rear View mirror issues.

I do the same with my nc where I let off the gas and press in a lil to get that extra pop it’s my favorite thing to do since I have no tune currently

Question. What settings did you have on your GoPro. This is amazing. I love it, but how did you get the perfect view/color/stability, etc... What were your camera settings?
I have a hero 8 black, and I think I just used default "flat" color and linear zoom. Then I altered the colors slightly in premiere pro to make it look a little better

Awesome sound! I was wondering how you were able to ship your goodwin exhaust into california? I keep seeing that “this product cannot be shipped into CA,” perhaps you got this secondhand?
I bought mine before all the EPA stuff happened, and I also bought the header and midpipe from fab9tuning since they didn't restrict CA sales at that time.

Nice video man! On gwr website it says the header and mid pipe are not carb compliant. But I have heard people still pass smog with these. Being considering getting the midpipe and header as well. Does your setup pass smog in CA?
It's not legal, but I also haven't tried to smog it with the header and midpipe on

Yo so I have the exact same car as you, I also got the aem air intake and when it rains I get a check engine light on, and sometimes I can feel the kinda bog down for half a second then it’s fine, but it only happens when it rains, I’m guessing it’s because to much rain is getting in the intake because it’s so close to the ground? Do you have the same problem?
I have the rain sock thing on my intake, but it also hasn't rained here in the Bay Area in a long time so I wouldn't know if I have that problem. Sorry :(
Hi from Italy i would give you my 2 cents. I had the aem intake im my nc. One rainy day i had the misfortune to fall in a puddle of water 8-10 inches deep. The intake sucked water into the engine cilindres...Liquids are not compressibles... the pistons tried ... the result was a hole 1 inch wide on the engine basement... the mistake was mine by misjudging the risk. Be careful when it's raining.
Thank you for this. I currently have just the Roadster II catback and am looking to go full GWR and get the Fab9 tune for the HP gain. Your setup is pretty much what I'll go for. How's the drone when crusing?
It only drones above like 70mph or when you're on the throttle, but it's pretty chill normally

This is where I bought it from, you might be able to buy it from other places as well for cheaper. It doesn't come with the donut sticker unfortunately

It's the Guardian Designs Corsa steering wheel, definitely pricey, but worth it imo

Did going catless in the header cause a distinct smell? Besides the loudness, it’s what’s keeping me from taking that path
I never smelled it myself while driving, but people behind you can smell it according to my friends
Whoever programmed those lights has a nice spot in hell reserved for them..
you either get all greens, or hit every single red light, no in between
So this is what I did to my 2006 NC1 65 K ml now wishing the internals will hold, cause I TOUGE , I have the skunk2 alpha header and A.E.M. intake with an Fab-9 tune.
The internals will definitely hold as long as you don't rev it above 7k. My friend tracks an NC1 with 200k miles and it's still running good on the original engine

How'd you get the extra 2pwhp with just intake and exhaust?
Check out Goodwinracing, the headers alone can unlock 12 to 14hp, same with a tune. So an additional 30hp just in headers and a tune alone
That rasp. Is that because of the RS2 muffler that is on?
Not sure, it definitely sounds raspier with the mic right next to the exhaust vs in person

Well in terms of sheer fun and enjoyment they are some of the best cars out there, so overhyped depends on your perspective… the price is overhyped without a doubt though
What is your wheel size and tires are you running are yours?
My wheels are 17x9+45 with 235/40 tires

I’m on Mazda speed springs which I kinda regret for my 06 and it’s been alright but still bumpy/stiff taking the harsh roads here too want and smoother ride thinking about replacing my wheel set up also since I went with 215/45/17 on tires with my 17”
@@MiStahJviet I have Tein Flex Z coils with goodwin racing roadstersport sway bars and it's pretty rough/bumpy for daily driving, I would get higher quality coils with a helper spring if you want more comfort

it drew too much attention to the place we drive causing CHP to crack down and screw over a lot of people who weren't even doing anything. Also some people got impounded cause of certain videos
