Hello, one dermatologist I went to recommended me a shampoo/serum products duo containing thymic peptipes (Brand Thymuskin) for chronic telogen effluvium treatment. I wonder if thymic peptides are safe to use, can they affect hormones in any way? Would love to hear from you about this topic.

Ma’am I’d appreciate more discussion abt shampoo techniques given that our textured hair can get super dried out more so than other hair types. It seems unfair to advise just EVERYONE to shampoo three times - regardless of whether the scalp really needs it and regardless of how dried out the scalp may become - and the hair itself! These are nuances that matter deeply for textured hair. When experts don’t delve into these nuances, here come the you tube gurus to fill the gap. Please give us a mention of these items - or at least mention that we should find professionals to get these deep details. Or recommend pros - or even charge us a fee to consult w you. ~ thanks
No matter the hair type, the scalp does need to be lathered three times. Shampoo is a cleanser it doesn't help with moisturizing the hair. Conditioning the hair is an important step to aid with moisture after cleansing, especially if you have dry hair. I would also recommend doing steam treatments as well as oil treatments and hair masks to bring moisture back into it. We have to educate our community because we have been convinced that we don't have to keep a clean scalp to promote healthy hair growth. Build up on the scalp over time can clog the follicles leading to inflammation and irritation and ultimately a lot of hair loss. Professional salon stylist no matter what culture you are or what textured hair you have always lather the scalp three times because a clean and clear scalp helps keep your follicles healthy. Again, shampoo is a cleanser not a moisturizer. If you're looking for tips on how to bring moisture back into your hair specifically, I would love to assist you. here's the link to book an evaluation with me. ninaross.as.me/virtualconsult

Hello. I've seen some girls on UA-cam use grease to blow dry or straighten their hair, is this damaging to the strands?

Three times sounds excessive. The more manipulation of 4C / Daughter O curls, the more extreme the matting.
