    I have a question. I have a AVH4100NEX that i cannot get the mic to work on phone calls. I can hear caller but they cannot hear me. I have searched and searched for solutions and found none. I know this is not the video about it but does anyone have any idea or can you direct me with troubleshooting. Have tried all suggestions related to mic fixes and nothing works. The mic worked when i bought the car from someone because they used it to make a call. They have an iphone and i have galaxy s4. Thank you

      Here is a video about making phone calls with the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX: ua-cam.com/video/afAWW1Pt6Q4/v-deo.html I know of no reason your Galaxy S4 should not work to make phone calls. Here are a few simple questions to start: 1. Have you connected this phone to another Bluetooth device and made a hands free phone call, and all is working well? 2. Have you connected a different phone through Bluetooth to the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX to test and see if different phone works properly with respect to voice phone calls? If a second phone test is not working, this would lead me to believe something is wrong with the microphone. 3. Where is the microphone physically installed in the vehicle? When on a call, can you tap the microphone with your finger? Can the remote caller hear any noise?
      Please be sure there is no mute function on your phone during a Bluetooth phone call. On the in-dash receiver, please be sure the "Private" function is switched off and adjust the microphone volume up to max. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/afAWW1Pt6Q4/v-deo.html&t=105 Can the remote caller hear you when you switch on the Private Call function?

      Here is a video explaining how to connect your Pioneer NEX receiver so it works with Alexa, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. ua-cam.com/video/CUrxfgBy2BM/v-deo.html Please note: In order for Alexa to work, you must connect the in-dash receiver to the internet through a Wi-Fi Hot spot or use your phone as a Wi-Fi Hot spot and you must register your in-dash receiver with your Amazon account. Android Auto Wireless works on selected Android based phones. It may require some custom work. I recommend taking your vehicle to a Pioneer Authorized Dealer in the US. For the WC6600, is there a dash kit to fit a 2014 Jeep Wrangler?

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 4 роки тому

      As of 2020 August I'm not aware of a dash kit for the Pioneer 9 inch screen DMH-W6600NEX for a 2014 Jeep Wrangler. Pioneer partners with Metra for dash kits, and production has been delayed because of the virus shutdowns this spring and summer. There is a kit available for the Pioneer 8 inch screen. You can see the kit here: metraonline.com/part/108-CH1B You can learn more about the Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX here: ua-cam.com/video/m2Pn722ONaU/v-deo.html and here: ua-cam.com/video/WPcYdmxQ12E/v-deo.html You can find more videos on Pioneer's UA-cam Channel here: ua-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

    Will this work with a 2007 caddillac Escalade? Which one is best I would like video playback as well i have an android phone

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 4 роки тому

      For your Escalade, you could go with the DMH-WT8600NEX with the 10.1 inch floating screen seen here: ua-cam.com/video/QrvNkGgRo7E/v-deo.html or the Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX with the 9 inch floating screen seen here; ua-cam.com/video/O9yXjfuZPtM/v-deo.html These two receivers are functionally the same. The only difference is the screen size, 10.1 or 9 inch. You'll need a proper dash installation kit to make this 1 DIN installation fit securely in the dash. Both work with Android phones for Android Auto, and depending upon your phone Android Auto may also work wireless. You can learn more about Android Auto here: ua-cam.com/video/kpKYks-17gM/v-deo.html Video playback is available through USB. You can see it on a similar receiver here: ua-cam.com/video/KWaYfYk90IU/v-deo.html Video playback is also available through the HDMI input. It's easy to use a Roku, or Amazon Firestick or some other device for video playback from many different streaming sources. I have a very important question: I use iPhone, and a friend who deceived me by telling me that he knew how to install car radios, made me buy a new radio for my car. It's a bit old car, it's my first car. But he made me buy a modern radio, (Amazon Alexa when Paired with Pioneer Vozsis App, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM-Ready - Multimedia DVD Receiver - Black ) and installed it himself, but it doesn't work with siri, I didn't know he told me advised to buy a pioneer with alexa! Does anyone know what can I do? oh if there is any way to turn that alexa into carplay? I would appreciate it.

      I think you're referring to HD video playback through USB from an iPhone. No, Apple does not allow video playback through USB. However, you can play back video through HDMI from your iPhone if you use a Lightning to HDMI adapter. Can I have UA-cam Music as an App on my 4100NEX model?

    • @pioneerelectronics
      @pioneerelectronics  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, and there are several different ways to make it work. The Pioneer AVH-4100NEX works with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. When you are using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, the UA-cam music app is available on the in-dash receiver. You can learn more about setting up Apple CarPlay with your iPhone here: ua-cam.com/video/g5juaKNXr90/v-deo.html and you can learn more about setting up Android Auto from your android based phone here: ua-cam.com/video/6Ld4zXlNCsw/v-deo.html You can also just use the Bluetooth Audio Source if you want. The Pioneer NEX series has a known issue with GPS with Carplay.
    Tech support hasn't been able to help.
    I'm using the latest firmware and iOS version.
    Are there any solutions other than what is listed in this Reddit thread?
    www.reddit.com/r/CarPlay/comments/erjr7r/carplay_gps_problem_and_fix_for_pioneer/

      Please answer these questions. What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? What is the firmware version installed on the receiver? What model is your iPhone? What version of iOS is installed? Do you typically use a USB wired connection for Apple CarPlay or a wireless connection? In what country is the product being used? Please describe in detail the issue you are experiencing with your Pioneer receiver. Are you using Maestro RR or RR2 in your installation? How is the receiver's pink VSS wire connected to the vehicle? Through Maestro RR or another way? Resetting the 3-D Calibration through the Connection Status Menu of the receiver is a common fix for several issues including when there has been a significant change to the vehicle, or when a receiver has been moved from one vehicle to another vehicle. 1. Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX
      2. Firmware 1.31
      3. iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 14.4.2
      4. I use a wireless CarPlay. I'd be happy to use wired CarPlay, but the system always defaults to Wireless even if connected with a USB cable.
      5. It is being used in the US
      6. The unit was professionally installed using a Maestro RR unit. All other Maestro features work fine.
      7. The receiver has never been moved and the car hasn't been changed. Resetting the 3-D Calibration status resolves the issue temporarily, but it always comes back soon.

      Thank you for your response. Do you see any error messages on the in-dash receiver screen? Such as "Sensor Error" or something similar? Please describe the issue you are experiencing in some detail. As I understand it, the receiver appears to operate normally in all functions with the exception of Apple CarPlay. When using Apple CarPlay wireless, the in-dash receiver display's Apple Maps and does not properly track the motion of the vehicle in Apple Maps. The receiver navigation display appears to go backwards at times. 3D calibration resets this for a short period of time. Please provide any additional details.
      Does this happen on other navigation apps such as Google Maps? or Waze? when using Apple CarPlay wireless.
      In what vehicle is the receiver installed? Make, model, year. Is the receiver's main chassis installed at a steep angle in the dash? Is it possible, the main chassis of the receiver is installed upside down in the dash?

      1. There is no error.
      2. I have it happen with Google Maps and Waze. I have not tried Apple Maps.
      3. Sometimes the location appears to be “lagged.” Sometimes it will show the location on a parallel street.
      3. It is a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan.
      4. The receiver is not at an angle
      5. It does not appear upside down

      Thank you for your response. Without being there to see your vehicle in person I'm trying to understand the issue you're experiencing through these questions.
      I believe this may be an installation issue with the receiver's Pink Wire or Car Speed Signal Input wire and possibly the GPS antenna.
      Apple requires the use of the Car Speed Signal Input and GPS provided by the receiver for proper operation of Apple CarPlay. If both of these are not operating correctly, the positioning data provided by the receiver and read by the phone will cause strange vehicle tracking in the display. I recommend to complete the following sequence of operations to test the Car Speed Signal Input wire's connection to the vehicle and the GPS antenna's performance.
      Start first by restoring the radio settings found in Home > Gears > Tools > scroll down to Restore Settings > All Settings> hit Restore. The vehicle's parking brake must be engaged to access the Restore Settings Menu.
      Then once the radio reboots go into Home > Gears > Tools > System Information > Connection Status and verify that the receiver is using the correct Car Speed Signal Input wire (VSS ) .
      The way to verify this is to slowly move the vehicle forward while checking the speed pulse count. I recommend do to this in a large parking lot away from other vehicles. Slowly move forward, It should only start counting up 1,2,3,4,5, etc...while moving forwards or backwards.
      When you come to a stop it should read 0 and never 0-1,0-1,0-1, 0,0,1,1,-1,0 etc..... when parked or stopped completely. If you are completely stopped and you are seeing 0,1,-1,0,1,0....this means the Car Speed Signal Input wire is not properly connected to the vehicle and the receiver is getting bad data about the motion of the vehicle.
      Next drive the vehicle to an area that has an open view of the sky and please check the external GPS Antenna performance by looking at Positioning Status in the Connection Status menu under 3D positioning , each colored satellite needs to display more that x3 satellites for each (channels) so x 3 or higher for the orange satellite and x3 or higher for the yellow satellite.
      Last go into Home > Gears > Tools > System Information >3D Calibration> Reset Learning status > Reset Distance >Reset Speed Pulse , once completed you'll need to drive the vehicle at least one mile or more and check in the Learning Status till it no longer displays Sensor Initializing . It should read, once fully re-initialized, 3-D Hybrid Mode when using a Car Speed Signal Input wire.
      If no Car Speed Signal Input wire is used then it will read Simple 3D Mode.
