Thank you for another beautiful design Jennifer. When I first saw it I thought it was an eagle 😂 now I want to make this and then see if I can convert it to make the eagle too. I'm probably going to fail terribly but it's fun trying
Go for it!
Very nice 👌 👍
Thanks a lot! 🌸
Great live
So pretty! I noticed that you left the pressure at 'default' and usually you do 'more' pressure. Is there a reason when it comes to intricate cuts?
Jennifer calling Zots not messy unlocked a memory of working at AC Moore and how people would pull the tape out and they would go everywhere 😂 I totally forgot about that. They’re not messy unless you pull the strand out and peel off one side of the backing to get them sticking to everything like the wall or other strands.
So true! 😂
Love your instruction on paper craft. I was wondering if it is possible to cut this in fabric?
Yes! Absolutely! 😃
Do you have any tips on buying replacement fine point blades? I’ve gotten cricut brand both from Amazon and hobby lobby and both times, the blades look different than the one that came with my cricut maker.
Thank you Jennifer for this beautiful owl! I am wondering if it could be cut using fabric and layers of batting to stitch, perhaps using thread painting. Any thoughts??
Yes, absolutely! 😃
I really loved this. I want to do a designed heart for anniversary gift in a shadow box any ideas welcomed. Also one with ladies heeled shoes.
Thank you. I have this heart. You can put a photo it a also. jennifermaker.com/heart-layered-svg/
This is amazing thank you .. and i wish you made video of how to made the shadow box in home with cricut or any other machine in home if that possible
You're welcome. Here is another video that shows how to make shadow boxes. jennifermaker.com/custom-shadow-box-cricut-design-space/
@@JenniferMaker oooh wow thanx
Beautiful!
How would I change the score cuts to just a score using the score pen?
Also what program do you use to create your templates?
I use Illustrator to design. The score line have to be changed now in Design Space. Here is a tutorial. jennifermaker.com/cricut-scoring-tools-tips/
I love it. I'm going to hang some of these in my craft room. my maiden name was Hoots so you can guess what I was called. It didn't bother me, I loved it and Owls.
That's a cool last name! I'm glad you love owls. I love them too. 🦉
Hi Jennifer, I love everything you do . Is there any way you could recommend items listed in the uk? Many thanks 🦋
I really don't know what is available in the UK as I live in the US.
@@JenniferMaker ok thank you anyway Jennifer. I will look for alternatives x🦋
I need to know were to get the tapes and glues for the proyects and also how to work with swvg specially letters. Thank you,
I have them in the materials list here. jennifermaker.com/owl-svg/
I absolutely love this! Can you do a tutorial on how to create a layered paper design like this? I really want to create a couple of layered cardinals in honor of my deceased parents.
I do have a workshop on this subject. makeracademy.com/custom-cut/
I have only the Cricut Joy and there is no available "Intricate for Cardstock" setting, however, the Joy does manage very well to cut intricate details using 80 gsm cardstock setting.
Very true.
I use 216gsm for my cricut joy. Use the "more" blade setting if using basic cuts. Cuts perfectly. I even cut faux leather with mine.
@@anneparker9564 thanks for correction I meant 80 lb (which is 216 gsm) I get great results also have not tried faux leather, but have cut very thin craft foam (used to get at Dollar Tree) but have not seen it there lately.
What did you use for the back layer behind the owl? My shadow box came with a black felt background that I’m not super happy with. I was trying to think of fabric or other ideas for the “background”.
I believe this shadow box had a fabric background, but you can use cardstock as well. 😊🌻
Hi there, can you make a video on how to transfer paper cut letters as cut with the cricut? Thank you
You can request projects here. jennifermaker.com/projectrequests/
Hi, I love owls and would love to make this.I have a Cricut Joy. I know that I can probably resize it but do you have any tips that would be helpful for a Joy machine. Thanks
Resize it and do a test cut.
Just bought everything to make this, I cut the owl but now thinking about adding leaves and tree branches around edges. Do you have any templates/svgs for that?
That's a great idea! This link may be helpful, jennifermaker.com/rolled-paper-rose-tutorial-fun-realistic/ 💗
I have an explore 2 but found it doesn’t cut the 65lb weight cardstock very well. Is it only the maker that can cut this weight
You shouldn't have any issues cutting cardstock, check out jennifermaker.com/cricut-cutting-problems-tips-cleaner-cuts/ 😊🌻
Where is a good place to buy the shadow boxes ?
I have a link in the materials list on the blog or you can get them from a local craft store, IKEA or Amazon. jennifermaker.com/owl-svg/
Where can I buy a frame like the one you have shown?
I got it off Amazon. You can get them at your local craft store or IKEA. I have a link to it in the materials list here. jennifermaker.com/owl-svg/
Just think with that pretty new machine you could make this to hang right on the wall in larger than life version..
Right? 😃💗
Can you make this project using leather or wood instead of cardstock
Give it a go! I would recommend Cricut wood veneer to cut or Cricut faux leather. They are both thin. jennifermaker.com/make-wooden-bookmarks/ jennifermaker.com/how-to-make-leather-bracelets/
I made it, not so perfect because my hands shake, Thank you for the tutorial.
You're welcome 😊 I would love to see it! You can post it here if you like. 💜 facebook.com/groups/cricutcraftersandmakers/
