This is the most helpful video yet! Thank you so much for taking the time to explain things with such precise detail. It makes all the difference. Cheers!
Wow! Just wow! I have only had my cricut a month or so and have been a little overwhelmed. But I found your channel early on and subscribed and have been watching videos until my head is spinning! I can't count the things I gleaned from just this one video. I chose it because of the water proofing information, but came away with so much more!!! Thank you!!!
This has to be, hands down, one of the best videos I have seen about making stickers with the Cricut machine and making them waterproof. I just recently bought my very first Cricut machine and I look forward to making my own stickers. You have a new subscriber! :). Thank you!
You are the best teacher that I have found, as a newbie! You are precise, show your work and explain everything, slowly and succinct. Thank you so much for this video. You have a new subscriber!
I’ve had my explorer for 2 months and have only taken it out the box.. you’re tutorials are giving me hop that I can actually do this!! One of my issues is that I can only use my phone but I’m going to figure all this out.. thank you for being so thorough on everything and sharing templates!!
Thank you Jennifer for this huge time-saver! I've been making my stickers with sticker paper then laminating them and then cutting them on my Maker. Can't wait to try the printable vinyl! Merry Christmas and thank you for your 25 days of Merry Maker Mingle. I've looked forward to them every day 🎄🎁💗
Extremely helpful video and info! Thanks so much for doing all of this testing. Thanks, too, for all of your Merry Maker Mingle tutorials. They were so fun! Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🎄
Thank You so much for the information. Our Family hopes that Your Family & Your Team has a wonderful Christmas! Thanks for everything you & your team does.
Amazing video! Thank you so very much for all your time, money & materials used to create your videos! Then you go above and beyond and provide us with free SVG files. Thank you! I am blessed to be able to learn so much from you about how I can use my Cricut Maker. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for testing them! Do you have any videos for laminating them? I’m going to try cold lamination because I hear that works better. Or other ideas to put on tumblers without sealing in epoxy!
Thank you for this! I love your testing videos. As a new sticker maker this is very helpful. Looks like I bought supplies that aren't even necessary. Have you done any experiments with these vinyl sticker papers in the dishwasher? I'd love to know which ones hold up best for that. Thanks again!
Jennifer, you are a wonderful teacher. I always feel like you are particularly addressing my questions in your tutorials. So now here is my question. I need to design Arabic calligraphy with English transliteration as a sticker/decal to go on wooden discs/coasters. Is there an iron-on printable vinyl? Or can I use the printable vinyl as in your tutorial? This project is for an event of an organization I volunteer for and I am making about 100 pieces. Your input will be greatly appreciated.
I *always* learn something from your videos!! I’ve been using my cricut for a year and a half, but never knew about the “ungroup to lines” function until now. This is huge! Thank you!!!!
I've done spray finish and or spray polyurethane plus clear vinyl over it after it dries then did the cut and they work great on tumblers even with washing! Thank you for your great tutorials Jennifer Maker!!!
I have been printing my stickers on printable vinyl for quite some time. This tutorial completely convinced me for sure that I made the correct choice. Thank You again for a Great Tutorial.
Hello!, thanks for your amazing videos. I´m new here and also new using Cricut, but I was wondering if you mind sharing how I cut the stickers?, not only the vinyl but also the base material where the stickers are placed, so everything has the same shape if that makes sense. Thanks
Great tutorial Thank you! ♥ You didn't use it but would any of the Mod Podge work? For instance, I'm guessing the dishwasher version might work ... maybe Outdoor version but not sure about the other ones (paper, matte, gloss, sparkle & original versions)! Oh and would those clear/holo adhesive sheets you can lay over your stickers work too? (at least for the surface not sure about the back) For the overlay if you run it through a die cutting machine just to flatten together - do you think that might seal it better?
I am making stickers for a friend. I enjoyed watching this video, but when you said about making them water proof snd submerging in water, does that also mean I wouldn't be able to make them for tumblers?
loved this tutorial thank you so much I used something can't even remember what but after just running water over it to wash it it got sticky but had a baby shower for my daughter and made stickers for the plastic cups for ladies to use and take home it was a drive through shower so I had lids and straws so cute and used the vinyl sticker paper and i still use from time to time the extras and they are really holding up as well. Love your tutorials you are such a great teacher. Have a wonderful new year.
I put it in my tray with nothing else in there. I do not use Cricut sticker paper because it is too thick for my printer. I recommend something like Avery or other office brands.
I would love to get one of the stands for the two cricut machine shown did you ever thought of selling them are can you let me know where I can get one such a space saver.
We designed and made them on our 3D printer. We plan to share the print files on our blog for anyone else who wants them. There are two styles -- the one on the left uses PVC pipes, so it’s height adjustable to your needs. The one on the right is all 3D printed except for the table, which is a piece of wood screwed to the legs. Both meet the requirements in Cricut’s Safety Instructions for “a flat and stable surface” as the Cricuts are just sitting on stable tables.
Look for a UV resistant clear spray for protecting stickers placed outside. There are options listed in the materials list affiliate links. jennifermaker.com/how-to-make-stickers-with-cricut/
Merry Christmas, Jennifer! Do you think all printable vinyl (e.g. Cricut) is water resistant, or is it a feature of the brand you used? Has it been coated or treated somehow?
Thank you Jennifer for all you teach us!! 🥰 what is the cut setting for printable vinyl paper? I heard you say 300 for the sticker paper with laminate layer but not seeing any adjustment for the vinyl sticker paper. Thanks so much!!

This was a great video. Thank you so much for it. Do you have to seal the vinyl stickers if you are going to use them on a tumbler with epoxy over them?
Hi Jennifer! I love your videos, they have been EXTREMELY helpful to me. Just one question. What ink are you using? i printed on my stickers on printable vynil but when i wet the stickers they smear and smudge with the slightest touch.

We have sticker tutorials for both kiss cut and dye cut. Check out our blog, the link is in the description. 😊🌻
Surprised that the Avery/transfer vinyl didn't hold up as well. Thanks for testing the various methods.
Thank you so much for watching!
thank you
You are so welcome! 💗
Great tutorial! Did you use regular dye-based ink in your printer or pigment-based ink?
Regular ink.
Thank you for this! I tried using glossy vinyl, but mine still smeared after drying. So, I will use the poly to seal my next batch.
Wonderful!
Does this work w/ custom stickers for mugs washed in the dishwasher?
No, most decorated mugs would be hand wash only. Thanks for watching!
Awesome 😎 Thank you 😊

No, I wouldn't use Mod Podge on these. 😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker ok thanks! ♥
I’ll be using my printer for sublimation, can I still use the same printer and ink for stickers?
No, sublimation ink is a special type. You'd want to use an inkjet printer for stickers. 😊🌻
I am making stickers for a friend. I enjoyed watching this video, but when you said about making them water proof snd submerging in water, does that also mean I wouldn't be able to make them for tumblers?

Does the vinyl paper go through your printer okay? Is it a top/back loading printer? Or does the paper just go into the bottom tray?
I put it in my tray with nothing else in there. I do not use Cricut sticker paper because it is too thick for my printer. I recommend something like Avery or other office brands.
Would this method using vinyl be best when making stickers for tumblers and water bottles not sealed in epoxy?
You could try them on tumblers as long as they are soaked for a period of time in water but rather handwashing. 💗
Love your videos. I was wondering where you got the shelf on your table that you have your Cricut on?
We made that! 😃
I would love to get one of the stands for the two cricut machine shown did you ever thought of selling them are can you let me know where I can get one such a space saver.

Hi, which playlist are your sticker tutorials under?
You can find them by searching stickers with Cricut.
Do you have any recommendations on UV resistant spray for putting stickers outside?
Look for a UV resistant clear spray for protecting stickers placed outside. There are options listed in the materials list affiliate links. jennifermaker.com/how-to-make-stickers-with-cricut/
Thanks you
You are so welcome!💗
Cannot wait and see what new project you going to make this year
I noticed both the links to vinyl paper were matte finish. Is there a reason you don't use glossy?
It can smear easily when it prints.
Merry Christmas, Jennifer! Do you think all printable vinyl (e.g. Cricut) is water resistant, or is it a feature of the brand you used? Has it been coated or treated somehow?
I believe it is a feature of the brand. If I didn't test it in this video, I can't be sure of the results.
The vinyl stickers...how did they do with the scratch test? Mine rub off with any light friction.
The test results for the different methods are in the blog post here. jennifermaker.com/how-to-make-stickers-with-cricut/
Thank you Jennifer for all you teach us!! 🥰 what is the cut setting for printable vinyl paper? I heard you say 300 for the sticker paper with laminate layer but not seeing any adjustment for the vinyl sticker paper. Thanks so much!!
You can use printable iron-on setting.

It's easier to laminate using a roll laminate, and cut afterwards.
I will need to try that. Thanks!
This was a great video. Thank you so much for it. Do you have to seal the vinyl stickers if you are going to use them on a tumbler with epoxy over them?
I wouldn't think you would need to 💗
Hi Jennifer! I love your videos, they have been EXTREMELY helpful to me. Just one question. What ink are you using? i printed on my stickers on printable vynil but when i wet the stickers they smear and smudge with the slightest touch.
I used the regular ink for my HP Envy.

Take a look at my blog post, jennifermaker.com/reverse-weed-vinyl/ 💗
If I have converted my epson to sublimation can I still print the stickers with it or I need another printer for the project?
You will want to use a different printer, sublimation ink isn't bright until it's heated.
