    So these little no filter nano aquariums are my favourite. I really like the bowl aquariums as well as they are particularly challenging given the magnification the bowl creates.
    Hopefully you enjoy this one guys. I enjoyed it so much, there will be more no filter nano tanks coming soon :)

    This is amAZING.
    My two favourite things about aquariums in one, hair grass and shrimps.
    We don't have any aquarium stores in my place,so I use a glass jar. I planted some hair grass I found in the fields and a shrimp my friend caught for me from the river.
    This video is just awesome.

    Great video, MD! This was a very enjoyable sort-of back-to-basics tutorial, and I really appreciate your focus on using materials that you can pretty much acquire from around the house, or a quick trip to the hardware store (plants excluded). That bowl came out really well, and I look forward to following its progress, and maybe even scaping a bowl of my own. Keep up the good work!

I've just started looking into getting a smaller pet lately juggling between a hamster, rabbit or fish and I've finally decided on a fish, specifically a gold fish or two but I'm looking into a set up that's not too fancy or high maintenance and this got me intrested.

    • @AirWarrior97395
      @AirWarrior97395 2 роки тому

      No, goldfish need wayyy more room than this. 2 goldfish would probably need like a 40 gallon tank. If you don't want a tank then you could do a patio pond or indoor pond.

    Excellent video, this is a really nice simple bowl scape and looks great. This isn't one of your best scapes but I think this is one of your best videos, so much great advice and information. And you using kitchen stuff and the wife comments were hilarious, we have all been there haha. And you are absolutely right about being able to put some nano fish in a bowl this size, I have 4 embers and a colony of shrimp in my planted bowl this same size and they are thriving, the fish display the exact behavior you are talking about, so active. Good luck with the UG, such a challenging plant but that would be awesome if you got it going in such a simple setup. Looking forward to more updates on this and all your other projects. I've been subscribed since you were at 5k and you have quickly become one of the best youtubers in our hobby. Well done and thanks for putting out so much great content.

    Soil and me don't get along at all. Every time I plant, I mess up the substrate. So after a while, I ended up gluing the plants onto the logs and rocks so that if I ever needed to do a full clean for any reason, all I'd need to do is to lift the logs and the rocks. Easy to place back in too.

  • @arthercurey1726
    @arthercurey1726 3 роки тому +1

    A no filter aquarium is a horrible idea we all know how water smells if you let it sit for a couple of days this is exactly what happens to these aquariums only quicker I guess it's all right if you want to do a water change every 3 days otherwise this is a horrible idea okay it might be a good idea if you don't mind the smell of stale rotting water...

    I wondered if it was possible if my water parameters from the tap are decent enough for a low tech, no c02, no ferts with fluval stratum.
    PH 6.0 - 6.5 ppm
    NITRATE 2.0 ppm
    NITRITE 0 ppm
    PHOSPHATE (no test)
    C02 ( no test)
    KH 10 ppm
    GH 15 ppm
    MG 3 ppm
    SILICA (no test)
    IRON 0.035 ppm
    Greatly appreciated if I get a reply :)

    Hello! I just got inspired by this and made a tank literally right after watching this video (will dm you on instagram on the result!).
    My question is; will the snails survive cycling? I know amazonia aquasoil is gonna produce loads of ammonia and it seems like my snail is digging into the substrate currently. I hope it don’t end up dying. (Hope you notice this)
