There’s only 3 things wrong with my swing backswing downswing and impact apart from that it’s perfect 😁👍

Similar to my putting. It's great apart from the lines and pace.
Most people has the same problem too...
Hi Peter. Really enjoying your videos and they are helping quite a lot. Just a mention that the links you refer to in most cases are not displayed on the videos at the end.
Excellent explanation as always, help with building a wedge matrix over the winter would be much appreciated….
Peter, you need to visit a pro named Milo Lines who seems to work out of Superstition Mountain, AZ. I study swings for a hobby & your swing & Milo's swing seem to have lots in common. I'd appreciate a slow motion, multi-angle comparison of the two swings.
With the fast approaching of winter here in Toronto, these are great swing thoughts to have while playing the last few rounds of 2023. Thank you for your help...Mark
Great to hear bud
Love the Swing Quest content. My goal in watching UA-cam is to learn to play better. Keep it coming; especially drills. The one thing I'm most interested in is lag and release. It feels like I muscle the club through the swing. Yours, and others', swings appear effortless. You're not even swinging hard. Yet you hit it further than I do. Please help.
Great vid explanation and demonstration. I've always been a "picker" of the ball and rarely took (or take) a divot, so I need to keep being reminded of this. I do notice that when I do take a divot, although it sometimes feels as though I haven't hit the ball well, it goes just as far, or farther, than when I don't take a divot. I do love the feel of when I properly strike the ball in the center, take a nice divot, and see the ball flying straight and true. Thanks Pete!
How to determine what shot is necessary to play. For instance a knockdown vs full swing in certain conditions. Learning to make the right call. Thanks Pete
You are a legend Pete
Could definitely use some help on getting better strikes with my long irons and woods off the deck
I struggle with falling off the ball and not "staying with the shot" it's so frustrating
Great video, demonstration, and explanation as always Mr Finch 👍🏼 👏🏼
My issue is not releasing the hands, probably because I played cricket for some 30+ years, so trying to break that muscle memory is a little difficult, and is especially hurting my getting the ball in the air. The extension of the lead leg/hip clearance is a good start for me, but any more hints/tips would be useful
Thanks and keep the great content coming 👌🏼👌🏼
I think you have just covered my issue.
My coach got me wanting to finish with high hands what I ended up doing was moving through the ball like a cricket bat shot then moving my hands to the sky.
It's totally broken my golf swing. Hopefully another lesson with my coach and watching this a bit more should help.
I'd love to know how to just add speed to a driver by making sure the swing is right rather than just trying to kill the ball.
I'm missing the bucket hat haha great video
Hi guys thx for all the content - have made massive improvements because of it!
Question: I’m really aggressive on my compression but when moving to driver my body just doesn’t understand to not compress and realease the club into the ball. Hence my distance control with driver is very varied. Yes and face control :) video pending?
Nice one to exercise, I do feel that this exercise feels different when hitting from proper turf then hitting it from mats, the turf interaction you get when you do mishit is completely different.
Great video,
I've always been good at hitting irons, the biggest issue affecting my game is that transition to driver, I don't have the feeling of being able to hit up on the ball, I hit too steeply down like an iron shot, and the forward press normally leaves the face open on my driver creating a massive slice.
Any advice on drills to hit up on the ball, and when to release the forward press to get that feeling.
Hi Pete, thanks for this, just come back from the range and tried one thing, and that was keeping my upper body over the ball, have to say that I’ve never hit my 6 iron better, but it was so consistently good. One question, should I see the club hit the ball, cos I never seem to? By the way I’m 66 with arthritis, so not as flexible as I was.
In terms of the video lengths, I think this is better than the 2-3 min videos. You’ve spoke on the podcast about video lengths and i think 6-10 mins is a better length for instructional, as you can touch on the nitty gritty, but not spend an hour droning on
well mr. Finch - you asked and I shall request. As a follow up to this method (of madness we know golf) what would you suggest as complimentary excercises/ideas to manage lie angle ie. hands too low (upward lie angle with shut face ) or hands too high (open face and open loft) which I pretty sure I am not the only one suffering of this sickness
I'm struggling with shanks creeping in when I'm using my wedges. Can you do a video on this. Thanks.
I struggle with follow through. My right arm seems to not extend at impact and I turn with it bent after impact. The ball does go straight to aim but I was wondering if there’s any drill I can practice to extend it 😢 thanks Peter!
What kind of grip is that? Digging the oversized grip
Great work Peter and team. I’d love to know what’s the typical gap between different degree wedges? In my case it’s a random figure! Help needed
About 10 yards but wedges are different as the loft gapping can be a little custom for each player
I recently had a swing assessment with the pro at my club. I hit 2 balls and he said “the problem is your backswing”… I’m like, that’s half the swing 😅👍🏼
I have difficulty at times going from a mid iron shot with the hands slightly ahead of the ball to hitting a 56 or 60 degree wedge in a more neutral position. I tend to get the hands ahead and drive the leading edge into the ground at times.
Great Advice instruction drill tips..
Thanks Finchie
I'd love a video on early extension! its a big issue for me and I'm sure a lot of others.
Accurate use of the Latin - very good 😂
Casting. Casting. Casting. Please please Pete do a video on this. I’ve been struggling with this for years and I know I’m not the only one. I desperately need some help with this to improve my game.
On it
Can you do a 30-60yd pitching tutorial? I’ve been shanking the hell out of them
Thanks Pete! How to get more than 200 yards out of your driver?? No matter how hard I swing, or try, I continue to only carry 200 🤦♂️
He has a few videos on swing quest might help
at 1:23 the graphic shows the ball gliding up the clubface prior to launching. Is that an idealised view or would you say it's real?
I just cannot stop floppy hands no matter what I try. I’ve now started thinning the ball a tad and pushing the ball right after trying things similar to this video.
Ever tried the "hell" drill? It involves full grip with the left (lead) hand, and laying the right hand flat (fingers extended) on to the top right of the grip, basically the groove in the palm of your right hand is over the thumb of the left hand. For me, it is the most effective drill for feeling how the hands work in the down swing. It seems to me the pros sling the club into the ball with their body, with the lead arm glued to the lead pectoral down to impact. After that nothing else matters, the ball is gone......
In order of events, Kinetic sequencing of full golf swing
I struggle staying connected during the swing.
Fairway bunkers are my Achilles heel
How to stop crowning driver and 3 wood
Please can you explain chicken wings and why you tuck your elbows in I see it a lot in high handicap golfers
First! Great video, Pete.
I’m in the middle of a chain reaction.
Could use a little more detail. What do you mean by “cover the ball with your chest?”
As you rotate into impact position, you will develop this feeling of your chest being pointed "covering" at the ball while your hips, legs, torso, and arms are completing the swing.
Your pelvis & belly button will be slightly rotated more than the chest.
@@chrispearce9224 Got it, thanks.
Just weired how many people (me included) love to struggle with a move, that is completely unnatural (= Golf swing). No use for it to kill a Mammut, therefore not in our DNA.
Problem is my modus disconnects from my operandi ending in a muddle 🙃😏
