hi gemma, lactation (breastfeeding) nurse here! have no idea how this would work but i'd love to be able to offer any support should you need it with getting little one feeding. the lack of support and understanding from nursing staff can be so crippling for mums so if there's any way i can help please feel free to reach out! 🫶🏼 hope everything goes well for you all, can't wait to meet the little one 🤍
Hi there Abigail, it would be amazing if you kick start a Chanel or even an Instagram page where you can help mummy’s. Or even online zoom courses that mummies can pay a fee to join. The antenatal classes in my area are no longer available unless I go private but it’s just not possible with the prices most of them charge.😢
I’m a second time mum my first son is 8 so it feels like I’m learning everything all over again.
I’m currently 27 weeks and only just researching all about colostrum collection as last time I had no clue about it.
Whatever you decide to do I wish good luck. People like you are amazing angels in mummies lives.
I work for the NHS so I know is probably next to impossible to make the time and energy for you to start your own platform to help mummies. Lots of hugs
How lovely is that❤
Anyone who shames a mom for c-sections, formula, etc. can go walk into a brick wall at full speed in my opinion. The baby is born, being taken care of, etc. Birth is hard enough. Best wishes to you and the baby, Gemma!
Gemma, I had to tell you that I came to a horrifying realization yesterday... I'm old enough to be your mother!! I don't know why I never thought of that before but I wanted to say thank you for making me feel young when I watch your videos. I've been watching them for years. I've already experienced alot of what you are going through in motherhood and the emotions that go with that and I want to tell you that you are doing a wonderful job and are such a lovely person. 🙂
Don’t think of it as a horrifying realization… just means you’re in a different phase of life… one she’ll also be at in a blink of an eye… Every phase is beautiful
💛
🥺
Me too but I love watching Gemma🙂
Same
Me too. 🙋🏼♀️ ❤
The way noa reacts it's just the cutest thing in the world, 🥹 you are such a lovely mom and jamie ofc for building it 😂🤍
Commenting again after watching to just say I wish there had been someone like you to watch 15 years ago when I was pregnant. Your talk about breastfeeding particularly resonated with me. I tried desperately as a first time mum to breastfeed, getting more frustrated and upset as my baby girl was crying because she was hungry and made to feel so guilty by the midwives when I wanted to give up and make sure she was fed properly. I suffered post natal depression very badly after and feeling that kind of pressure really didn't help. There really is no shame in bottle feeding, each mama and baby is different and you have to do what's right for you both. Thank you for being so open and honest, I know you'll provide a lot of comfort and support to any new mamas out there 🤍🤍 xxxx
Yes some baby's don't latch on right away, but it's fine because u just keep trying then once there on it's very easy and u just get use to it,my little Autumn turned 1 just recently I still breastfeed because she loves it,but she's too attatched😊
@@claremurphy5089And some people keep trying and it’s still not very easy - for me, my mental health declined and I couldn’t be the best mum for my baby in that headspace so a change had to happen. Fed is best. Thank you Gemma for being so open on this topic ❤️
@@tahneecowie I know I had to try a few times at the beginning my baby's lips kept slipping off,so I had to try and get her to latch on very well the midwives were squeezing the milk out, then finally she took to it very quickly,I've also used formula with my other child I didn't breast feed my other daughter,
One of the things I did for my second baby was the baby bought my eldest a teddy as a present after she was born and it had a cute little personalized jumper on saying to my big sister love Jessica. My eldest still has this teddy 17 years later and never travels without it. Lovely keepsake. X
Teddy's tongue at the beginning of the video 😂 How happy Noah is about his new playhouse 😊 You are such a loving mum and inspiring person. Sending you lots of Love from Germany❤
Hi Gemma, just wanted to thank you for your comment on your last video it really helped me and out in a positive mood for the night and showed me that bad days don’t last forever. It’s also nice to know that you relate to being anxious as well, thanks Gemma made me feel less alone. ❤️❤️❤️ I’m really excited for this video!! This pregnancy has gone by so fast!!
I just had my second baby six weeks ago and just wanted to pop in a little encouragement from the other side! I tore my first time and I was really nervous about the second time round, especially recovering with a toddler who needs me. What helped me the most was talking through my fears with a trusted midwife and doula, and I also did more mental and spiritual preparation this time. It really helped me trust my body more and slow down during pushing. I’m happy to report that birth and recovery went SO much better this time! Sending prayers that you have a wonderful birth experience are are surrounded with compassionate and wise birth workers!
What a super cute reaction to Noah seeing the playhouse! That alone would have been worth it, for Jamie to be out there all those hours, putting it together 😊
Noah couldn’t get his wellies on quick enough, bless him 🤍
Me and baby John have woken up full of cold! He's only seven months, I've had to cancel all our plans for today so this is so nice to put on the TV and snuggle up together under the blanket with a cup of tea 💕 I'm sure John knows your voice because I watch you every week since being pregnant, one of the only things he'll sit still and watch with me! Xx
sending baby john lots of love - I hope he’s feeling better soon🤍 ahh that’s so sweet 🥹🥹🥹
😊aww God love him 😍 that's the cutest
Your story with breast feeding is so similar to mine. This made me feel so much better about my next child. This made me feel less alone. Thank you so much for sharing that!❤️
I just loved watching you get ready for hospital. You are so organized Gemma. Noah is so precious seeing his new play house…what a precious moment. Praying for you and your family…everything will be absolutely perfect. You lift me up with your infectious joy for life. Many blessings 💝
Noah getting excited about his new play house is so wholesome❤
The look on Noahs face when he seen his little treehouse priceless he’s at the great age where you have so much fun. He’s gonna be the best big brother I do hope the next couple weeks go quickly for you. Sending lots of love to to your little family
I had my boys at 36-37 & 38 weeks…….aaaah the joys. Enjoy your nesting❤Don’t ever feel judged by how you feed your bub. I’m a nurse and worked with many mums and bubs…I feed all 3 of my boys differently. My first was a NICCU bub and I formula fed and expressed for him. My second was breast fed and then comp fed til 14plus months and the last was formula fed (as I had an 18mo and 3 yo by that time). Do what makes YOU happy❤❤❤❤
Thanks Gemma for sharing your little family with us, Noah's reaction to his play house was pure gold, really made me smile 😊 xx
Oh my gosh! I watched baby reindeer just after you mentioned it last Saturday. I couldn't help but watch it all in a day! Not only a true story but actually the protagonist is the person that experienced it.
Hey Gemma! I am so thankful for your videos. You get me motivated and excited about getting a head start in the mornings. You have truly touched my life! I am so excited to see you, Jamie and Noah flourish.
Oh my gosh, when I had my first daughter there was a sign up in the canteen that said "real mum's breast feed" I was sooooo upset as I couldn't do it 😢 by my 3rd I told them I was formula feeding and literally couldn't care less what others said. You do get tougher. It's your body and your baby, you do what's best for you both. Much love ❤ xxxxx
Oh my gosh that is shocking about the sign! So wrong xx
@lauramamab It was probably "encouraging", but I suppose they didn't see the other side of the coin
Oh wow that's sad
You should be so proud of yourself! You have created a beautiful life for your family. The next few months will be a very exciting period for you as a Mom of two little boys. Enjoy these moments. You are a true success in life.
So cute how Noah loved his little play house he’s so lovely. You and Jamie are such good parents you really try your best for Noah to please him and make him happy xx
My baby is 3 months old today, so watching this brings back very recent memories. I loved your comment about the coming home outfit. I agree that the instagram/UA-cam obsession with this is not reality! I worried about what to pack before birth and ended up going home in compression stockings (to prevent blood clots), a nappy and a night gown after an emergency cesarean and Baby Boy was in a boring babygrow and vest. I felt like I'd been hit by a truck leaving hospital in a wheel chair 36 hours after a c section. I couldn't have cared less what either of us were in and just wanted to be in the comfort of my home with my baby. I wish you the very best for the birth of your 2nd son. xx
Happy Mother’s Day Beautiful Gemma 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐 Enjoy your day

Your house is a dream❤ perfect for a happy family life🎉
Love all your videos. Always happy to see when you've uploaded. I'm also almost 37 weeks pregnant, I watched before pregnancy but these videos help so much xx
Thank you so much for elevating my day and seeing the funny side in things like I do. Why do men hate DIY when they are able to do it and understand tools etc? You are the most authentic blogger on here and I love you for who you are and what you portray on here. You are a joy to watch and I am a fan now after discovering you recently.
Dear Gemma, love your videos sooo much! They really have gotten a part of my saturday morning routine I am so looking forward to🤍✨ Just beautiful, uplifting and calming! Lots of love for you from germany😂🥰
So wholesome how excited Noah got about the playhouse 💚
Aww Gemma, your looking well. I’m so excited for you all. Noah is going to be a great big brother. Lovely video. 🥰💗🥰sending love to you all xxx
Happy Saturday Gemma, it's like a race when the little ones are away for the day, it's like everything has to be done , before they come back. Enjoy your time to yourself before other little comes. Have a great weekend xxxx
Watching this is making me think back on packing for my labour trip 😊
The only thinks I can think of that weren't mentioned is face cloths, and a TENS machine. That machine made my labour so much more tolerable! Little baba was sunny side up so I had a lot of back labour, so the TENS machine was a life saver. I got mine for 50 euro on Boots 😊
Thank you for the lovely vlog as always! ❤
Gemma and Jamie that play house is adorable for Noah. He going have so much fun on it.
Love y’all. ❤️💗❤️
Love your videos Gemma, look forward to them. The laundry room turned out so lovely. Noah was so cute when he saw his playhouse.❤😊
Good morning! Your videos are keeping me going🤎 you’re doing amazing. You’re my muse🫶🏼
This is what i needed this morning thank you gemma
I couldn’t breast feed either I tried but didn’t want to because I was on pain meds and didn’t want baby to ingest those and breast feed and I felt so much better. I’m so excited for you Gemma. I completely 1000% did not care what people thought.
Good morning Gemma!! You look amazing your doing so well. Thank you for the motivation I definitely need it today ❤❤❤
Hi Gemma, had a busy week so just chilling and catching up with you always love catching up with you and your gorgeous boys .carnt wait to see your new little baba xx
Thank you so much for talking and sharing your thoughts/feelings on your experience with breastfeeding Noah. I gave birth 8 months ago now and it was an emergency c section with complications and my milk never came in. The crippling shame took over me and I couldn’t find anyone to talk to that understood what I was going through. I wish I could hear this 8 months ago, but thank you so so much for talking about it now as so many mothers can relate. Sending all my love and well wishes to you, Jamie, Noah, and your new little boy 🤍 you are so strong and that little guy is so lucky to have you as his mama. Hang in there! I know those last few weeks are uncomfortable 😅🤍
Another peaceful lovely vlog from Gemma. Sending all the love and hugs from the US. ❤🫶

Hi Both! Lovely vlog! 🫶🏻 and I just wanted to reassure you that second labour can be soooo diffferent. My first labour was 37 hours long and I ended up with an episiotomy and a tear. But my second labour was around 2 hours and when I arrived at hospital I was already 9cm dilated! And he arrived shortly afterwards! 🥳 just night and day in the difference. All the best for a safe arrival of bubba number two! 🫶🏻 lots of love ❤xxx
Hi Gemma, I have been a midwife 26 years and yes there is no doubt of the benefits of breast milk but mums mental health has also got be considered and if mums feel better formula feeding I am all for that XXX
Best of luck to you Gemma x
As im watching this im packing all my small baby clothers into vacuum bags. 🥹 the time flys by doesnt it. Aww gemma i hope you have a safe & happy labour, and i hope the midwives keep their unpopular opinions to themselves this time. Good luck and thanks for sharing xx
Always delightful vlog 🥹🤩🤩🤩🤩
I love you videos! and thank you so much for sharing everything about breast feeding, that is really comforting to hear
You are a beautiful family, good luck with the birth of yr Baby, sending Love xx Mandy
Congratulations on the birth of you new baby🎉
Hello Gemma, I just wanted to give you a little tip (gave birth to my second little angel 2 months ago), and this tip literally saved my breasts and breastfeeding journey - put that breast cream on your nipples and put the pad on top of them at all times, keeps the cream on the nipples because of the pad longer, I used the same cream. For me, it took only 2 weeks of "hurt," and since then, it doesn't hurt at all. 😊
Hi Gemma xx what a great vlog (I always watch you on my tv then go to my phone)
Love how organised you are and hoping if little one does come earlier all goes well bless you! Tears to my eyes twice once laughing at your humour over Jamie building

Good Morning Gemma so great to see uou
Now I need to give to Matalan get ideas for my utility room.
O bless Noah...So excited thanks for sharing....Good luck. Hopefully not 8 days this time xxx
Loved the video ❤❤❤❤
Hey! Breastfeeding mum here and I can tell you from a tired mum who’s is STILL feeding there 2 year old because he’s obsessed, I hugely regret not giving formula as well, I will definitely be combination feeding next time because it’s hard! So don’t feel bad with whatever you do because what ever happens fed is best!
I remember just finding out you're pregnant and already we're here! Time really does fly. Best of luck for your upcoming birth 🤍
Thanks for mentioning the breastfeed/formula. I had the same experience, feeling very pressured by the midwives. Not everyone gets on with breastfeeding and all the pressure definitely doesn't make it easier. X
Morning Gemma, Aww bless you in your last few weeks getting tired . Try not to do too much around the house now and rest up a bit more now. Ooow 🤗 it’s getting exciting now.
Arrrr Noah’s recation to the playhouse Jamie built for him was so lovely and appreciative of Noah bless him . 😂 He couldn’t get out there quick enough to go on it . Your Utility Room is looking so nice and organised .
Such a lovely vlog Gemma x Have a Fantadtic weekend .
I can't wait to find out little ones name ..I'm super excited. I guessed Noah's name beforehand ❤
(It fits him it is perfect!) He is the cutest little boy...I truly enjoy seeing him on the vlogs! 😊
