I’m not pregnant but I’ve watched you for years and seeing you grow over the years is crazyyyy your gonna be a mumma and I can’t wait to see your new journey
Mamma to 5 soon to be 6 here. First, you’ve thought things through very well! Just a couple of things I would add a wee hat or two for baby. They lose something like 80% of their body heat through their head and it will just help her stay cozy. The next thing I’d add would be a white noise machine to help her not be overstimulated by all the noise in the hospital/remind her of being in your tummy where she heart your heartbeat, your tummy, blood whooshing around your body etc. it was such an amazing help to me when I brought ours. The last things are for you. Something to read like magazines or a book as well as a wee pouch to put things like bobbles, lip salve, face wipes to freshen up, tissues by your bed as you’ll be sore and might not be able to get up. A pen and notebook to write info or notes down and lastly, a ploy folder or something to put all the paperwork the hospital gives you. I can’t wait to see baby girl and I pray you have a safe and beautiful delivery. Xx
You could do a video on what you didn’t use from your hospital bag after the birth! I always watch these type of videos and wonder what was actually used in the end 🤍
yessss girl! 100% take a blanket, I was freezing at night in the hospital! I had to send my partner home to get one. also, take your own pillow. hospital don't provide many and its nice to have a home comfort there with you❤
With my first 2 kids fizzy lucozade came in very handy for after birth, I was soo dehydrated no matter how much water I was drinking throughout labour (my 3rd and 4th children I still took some bottles with me but didn't need it as much) secondly a magazine with puzzles in and a pen because those hospital days after birth are long when your in the same ward as everyone else, after birth while In hospital I lived in a nightie and a pair of cycling shorts, and deffo take in a skin tight outfit for coming home in, give yourself the choice of it because when you've given birth you feel like everything is about to fall out, the skin tight outfits definitely helped with that feeling 🙈 hope your birth goes smoothly x
I took 10 1ml syringes. My LG didn't latch well and she had a tounge tie. I was in 3 days, my partner brought more syringes up as I didn't want to give her ready made feed. I really wanted to try and carry on with BF once she had her tounge done. While I was in the hospital I ended up pumping and she took a bottle. Then when we came home I really struggled to get her to latch after 2 weeks of pumping and it really taking all my energy physically and mentally we when went on to formula. So over all we ended up using all the colostrum. Which I'm sad about but she got all the goodness so 😕 🤷♀️.. Good luck with everything, the best is yet to come 💞
I am also 25 and a first time mom and I’m 38 weeks pregnant! Really wanting to meet my baby soon! 😅 I hope yours will arrive very soon also and that your birth will be a dream!! I love your accent also :)
Love it! Don’t use your haaka for 3-4 weeks till your breast milk has its own natural rhythm. It can encourage more flow when baby isn’t ready for it and you can get mastitis. I used the haaka lady bug first that you place in your bra and it doesn’t suck just catches what naturally will let down. All the best! You’re going to be a great mum!
Hi 👋 Sydney, I’m new to your channel and just want to say hope all goes well with the delivery of your first baby. You have probably had baby girl by now. Sending lots of love to you xxx
so random and maybe too late but try your asda knickers on or make sure you have spares because I bought brand new shoved them in my bag and they didn’t fit 🙈I had gone up like 3 sizes too x
I’d definitely take pj bottoms or tracksuit bottoms, I found nighties not as comfy with the big pants and pads. Also, did you pack a towel? Dark towel is essential x
I wouldn’t recommend taking white/light colour clothing to come home in you will bleed heavily and will most likely need more then one outfit with you expect to leak
I accidentally brought all of my colostrum with me and I only used a few syringes when my baby wasn’t quite getting the hang of breastfeeding the first day. I then left and I left it behind like you said! Luckily I came back to the hospital 6 days later to be re-admitted and I asked about the colostrum and thank goodness they still had it!!
you need cotton wool! I preferred the cotton pads over the cotton balls to clean their face and their privates with cooled boiled water because you can't use wipes on them even the water ones for a couple weeks x
I would defo take hats for the little one they will want them to be wearing a hat to leave the hospital 100 percent Also take short sleeved vests for in the hospital where it’s hot 💕💕💕
I’d recommend bringing pj bottoms or shorts even, I didn’t on my first and found it so awkward with the big pads and just undies, bottoms add a bit of security
I also wasn’t allowed to use my spritz for bitz because of the way I tore so make sure you ask your midwife afterwards to see what they say. I was gutted I spent £20 on it 😢
If you havnt tried them , primark bursting bras ! I didn't get along with any of these other "branded" and expensive ones . I still wear my nursing bras from primark two years on.
My advice as someone who works in an nhs hospital is yes we supply them but they’re scratchy and don’t feel very nice. Take a hand towel and a main towel 👌
Midwife here! Take 3-4 of your syringes with you and hopefully someone can bring you more if you need. The Midwives can help you express more. make sure you pack it in a freezer bag with ice blocks and give it to the midwife As soooon as you get there! Once its thawed we cant refreeze it and it gets wasted! it breaks my heart throwing out mums colostrum! theyre such small syringes they thaw so quickly so the quicker it gets back into the freezer the better! If they do get thawed and are unusable, still take them home with you, colostrum is like magic for fixing skin problems and healing, it can also be put in babys bath or used on their skin. Im not sure if the peri ice packs are reusable but if theyre not, fill some condoms with water and chuck them in the freezer to have when you get home and you can put them inside of a maternity pad. as well as wetting some nappies and putting those in the feezer to slip in your bra for sore breasts Sending you allll the birthing vibes! youre gonna absolutely smash it!
another labor tip is have baby girls teddy out on show in the birth suite room. seems silly but sometimes having something physical to look at and remind you what this is for can be so helpful when contractions feel crazy!
I haven't seen someone beautiful glowing when you you have a cute baby bump what brand of diapers are you going to use Pampers or huggies or luvs wish you and your family happiness
Bring towels hospital towels 👀👀👀 what hospital towels bring towels bring a robe bring shower slippers you can always leave an extra bag of extras in the car and cass can bring that up if you need it
Maybe add a 0-3 month/up to 1 month outfit. I had my son late and he was showing to be average weight but then came out 10lb4oz 😂 He didn’t fit in any of his newborn clothes. Xxx
Hello, i wish you an easy birth 😇I just would like to recommend Kendamil instead of Aptamil, if you will ever need it. I will let you make your research, but definitely work to check it out.
Unpopular opinion but If you are super determined to BF then don’t take formula! I find midwives can be quite pushy to ‘top up’ with formula if baby is fussy but this will completely affect your supply. It is very rare women can’t bf and any bf issues 99% of the time can be resolved with a bf consultant ❤

@@ria7299yes I did, I didn’t hear her mention it but not a drama of its already in there x

So so excited! I really recommend taking your own pillow, I remember cuddling mine as I was pushing, it just added that extra comfort! 💕
You’re looking gorgeous Syd. Come on baby girl! We’re all waiting on you 🥰🥰💗
I took a comb to squeeze when i was in labour with my son it was amazing ❤
Im 27 weeks pregnant with my second baby & ive just loved watching your journey ❤ good luck!! Can’t wait to see your gorgeous girl!! 🥰

Tesco’s own maternity pads were my favourite and so cheap too! X

I’m not pregnant nor am I thinking about kids but I love these videos 😍xx
Eeek so close to baby girl being in your arms! Good luck with everything lovely! 💗

I would definitely recommend you bringing formula made up bottles just in case. X
I'm still watching. Just saw you have formula! Defo a good idea when ye get home! Mmmmmmwah
I’d definitely take pj bottoms or tracksuit bottoms, I found nighties not as comfy with the big pants and pads. Also, did you pack a towel? Dark towel is essential x
It was the 1st thing she showed lol
I wouldn’t recommend taking white/light colour clothing to come home in you will bleed heavily and will most likely need more then one outfit with you expect to leak
Can you do a what I actually used in my hospital bag video! Congratulations on baby girl!
Mama to 3 here!! And honestly I tried so many different brands of pads. And I found tesco own maternity pads to be the best.❤
Also baby vests for under the onesie!
You look beautiful syd! I’m so excited for this next chapter you’re going into 🥰
you need cotton wool! I preferred the cotton pads over the cotton balls to clean their face and their privates with cooled boiled water because you can't use wipes on them even the water ones for a couple weeks x
If you have time add a birth comb, it helps to manage the sensation of contractions.
I’m so glad I took my film camera and can’t wait to get the photos developed, I keep forgetting while home now to grab it and snap some photos 🥲
I'm excited to see the baby
Me too!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
The only thing I’d add are baby hats and an electronic baby file because their nails come out so long and sharp!
I would defo take hats for the little one they will want them to be wearing a hat to leave the hospital 100 percent
Also take short sleeved vests for in the hospital where it’s hot 💕💕💕
Think I just didn’t label hats but I have them packed with each outfit 🤍🤍🤍
I’d recommend bringing pj bottoms or shorts even, I didn’t on my first and found it so awkward with the big pads and just undies, bottoms add a bit of security

Love the organisation 😍
Wouldn’t recommend a towel as hospitals ofc provide and if it gets wet you don’t wanna be keeping a soggy towel in your case ❤
Mine didn’t supply towels! Definitely worth checking x
@@AmeliaRane ooooh wow that’s crazy! Never heard of that xx
My advice as someone who works in an nhs hospital is yes we supply them but they’re scratchy and don’t feel very nice. Take a hand towel and a main towel 👌
Laughing so hard at you being like “I’ll just get it out”🤣 loving your videos, preparing me for September🙊❤
