- I’ve always been a fan of having themed fishing ponds. Today, I show you a template that you can use to create biome fishing ponds, which is not only easy to alter to your own imagination, but also safely contains pesky biome spread!

@@frogseeee I have a similar experience! In the 2nd night of my world, I decided to go exploring. After exploring I reached the ocean biome, I decided to go fishing for some crates I had 2 worms and with some fallen stars I crafted 2 enchanted nightcrawlers and after some time, the last enchanted nightcrawler catched me a Reaver Shark, I was literally screaming I took a screenshot and everything lmao xD
FOR PEOPLE WATCHING IN THE 1.4 UPDATE (journey's end)
Keep in mind that the new desert/snow biomes need to have 1500 blocks instead of 300! This means you'll have to dig a 40 x 55 hole to fit exactly 1500 blocks. (I learned the hard way ;-;)

Also the ponds need to be roughly 60 blocks apart now too. Beautiful little builds thank you for the inspiration.

I was noticing my biomes had some really weird overlap -- would be standing in my Corruption area fishing biome and had Crimson background and music. /boggle Knowing this, and with the recent acquisition of TEdit (for moving the things cuz I build bridges and found I donked up and needed to move EVERYTHING 1 block over), I can keep going. :D

I just wanted to say thank you for making this video, because it's given me the techniques I needed to get started and off the ground with my own builds. It's ignited such a passion for building in me, even though i am still at the stage where i am sometimes struggling with visualizing what i want to put into the world. I need to take fix my notification settings... The Bell is on but I wasn't notified. I'm glad to still have made it, this video will be super useful for my PS4 playthrough with my brother. Also just remember to take any breaks you need, your health is way more important than UA-cam, and you can't really do much about having no electricity.
Glad you found it too ^.^ There's a weird thing with notifications now, where the bell has three states; no notifications, some notifications, and notify every time (and even then I've heard reports that they don't notify every time). It's kind of silly >.
This is an awesome video. The fishing ponds were gorgeous imo. Also, just checked out your original castle in the clouds build, and it is still beautiful, even when you compare it to the newer version you’ve made.

You're probably in Hardmode by now. Otherwise, make sure to stack up on Fishing Crates before Hardmode! It's a great (and relaxing) way to skip altar-smashing :)

Very nice. Hadn't thought of using actuated biome blocks to create the biome, but you learn something new every day (well, maybe not every day). With the block replace option of 1.4 creating these ponds could also be done by first digging out the pond area itself and then replacing the wall blocks with new blocks. And with The Grand Design actuating the biome blocks is easy and quick.

I'm a big fan and now I can't play terraria quietly without decorating and building cute things before star the progression XD. I have 4 days in a master mode medium world, 120 hp, but, building a lot of houses, ponds, castles, didn't fight against any boss, just want to build and build!!! And finally I learned how the actuator works thanks to you
