I've been using the original one for a while and it helped with acne scars. As soon as I started taking the new one I have broken out more than I ever have so I decided to switch back and right away It was getting better, its odd because I've seen so much people love the new one.

The cerave cream to foam was drying out my skin too much plus I can’t tolerate the coconut so I started the cerave hydrating cleanser and so far so good. I use vit c in am and retin a gel in pm and so the hydrating is great for me.. btw I have sensitive dry eczema prone skin.

    It's not the same,
The hydrating cleanser hat not Salicylic acid as second ingredient and makes huge difference for normal to dry skin people like me.
Cream to foam cleanser has Salicylic acid and if i use lt 2 a day it'll dry my skin quite significant.
So i recommend for people with normal to dry, sensitive skin, to use twice daily the hydrating cleanser, and if you have dirty pores like me, use the cream to foam one only at night twice to 3 times in the week, in addition you should use as moisture, either the cream or fluid from cerave , they both are very good, i prefer the fluid.
So, don't confuse and believe these both arr similar, nonono.
They bring different results in your face.

Thanks for your experience Paul. Please remember the feelings I am expressing in the video are my thoughts based on my experience and I personally did not notice a difference in my skin besides the foaming cleans better.

      Hello Zac,
All good, i just thought i needed to share to who is having dryness problems like me, they should be aware, if a product has ingredients as silicic acid, and is used more than once a day can cause more extra dryness on any normal to dry skin, this is not regel sure...
In my case this cream to foam goes really good if i use it only 2-3 times a week at night only.
I hope i supported some extra information about silicic acid :)
      Best greetings

I love the hydrating one and was thinking about getting the cream to foam one. Since it contains salicylic acid, I emailed CeraVe if it'd make my skin sun sensitive. They said it won't. But since it does the same thing I won't change the hydrating one. Thanks man. Resellers here in my country sell the cream to foam one for higher price. There's no official store of cerave. You saved my money.

I never used the old formulation, but something to highlight is that the new formulation has Salicylic acid. I only bought it because my regular Cerave gel cleanser was out of stock. I have never tested its cleansing power alone , because I also use a cleanser water from Simple, before cleansing my face, and then I use a toner, which helps eliminating any residue that might have been left.

Ah! You are so gorgeous!! And thank you so much! 🥰 I use the La roche caring wash ( I’m in Australia and I think it has a different name over there). I do like it but I sometimes feel my sunscreen isn’t all removed. Was looking into getting the cerave foaming oil cleanser or one of these . May I ask what you think would be a bit better wash ( and cheaper atm)… the foaming oil cleanser, La roche or one of these? I may end up just sticking with La roche but … 🤷‍♀️ would be wonderful if I could find a cheaper cleanser that left my skin feeling cleansed and not stripped!
Thank you SO incredibly much 🥰
Oh just if you are interested, here are the ingredients from the La roche cleanser I use :
    AQUA / WATER • GLYCERIN • PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRAETHYLHEXANOATE • PROPANEDIOL • AMMONIUM POLYACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE • POLYSORBATE 60 • CERAMIDE NP • NIACINAMIDE • SODIUM CHLORIDE • COCO-BETAINE • DISODIUM EDTA • CAPRYLYL GLYCOL • PANTHENOL • TOCOPHEROL .
We have 2 very gentle cleansers here. The other one is even milder apparently. This leaves your skin feeling very hydrated still I feel though ( and I have dry skin).

You can also try the SA cleanser they sell as well it’s mainly for oil skin. Or you can do the SA when your skin is more oil and the Hydrating one if your more dry. Make sure you also try doing patch testing to see if you skin likes it. In addition if you start to “break out” your really not it’s just your skin purging because it’s getting use to the new product on you face! Don’t use makeup wipes and don’t use scrubs on you acne it will strip your skin. I hope this helped.
