I have a ford falcon xr6 turbo here in australia and this has been an issue they unfortunately suffer from great video
Good rule of thumb is if you feel the vibration in the steering wheel it's the front and if you feel it in your feet or butt it's the rear.

I've done 3 brake jobs with my cars. I'm the same way about not wanting to pay some to do something I can do....
