Wrong. The equivalent will not happen because we are not an economic power plus the quality of our universities and intellectuals is below par. Plus we have an inward gaze unlike the west where there are experts of all kinds. Also, why can't an intellectual in the West can't have a say in Indian political matters. Do they have to sit in India the whole time to make their assessments in the internet age. The fact is we Indians are too much India obsessed. We don't create experts for different parts of the world.
Having 1.5b people also makes India a country with the highest number of poor people. 97mm children under age 17 live in poverty with daily family wage of less than $2.50.
