Hi, I am your host Siddhartha! I have been an entrepreneur from 2012-2017 building two products AddoDoc and Babygogo. After selling my company to SHEROES, I and my partner Nansi decided to start up again. But we felt unequipped in our skillset in 2018 to build a large company. We had known 0-1 journey from our startups but lacked the experience of building 1-10 journeys.
Hence was born The Neon Show (Earlier 100x Entrepreneur) to learn from founders and investors, the mindset to scale yourself and your company. This quest still keeps us excited even after 5 years and doing 200+ episodes.
We welcome you to our journey to understand what goes behind building a super successful company. Every episode is done with a very selfish motive, that I and Nansi should come out as a better entrepreneur and professional after absorbing the learnings.

Siddharth Sir if you are reading this - we already need Part 2 of this now !!!!!
This particular podcast is one of the best podcasts over UA-cam 🔥🔥🙌
This comment has made our day at the Neon team and we really appreciate your kind words very much and are thankful for supporters like you! We shall relay this message on to Siddhartha and hopefully have a part 2 coming soon 🙏🤍
I agree
It is❤
A very nice podcast though this was a high level summary of what has happened overr 15 years. Firstly Shri Sharma ji is a great guest with lots of knowledge and I am hearing him for the first time. I would suggest that you make a series with him going at a slower pace explaining the business terms, people and acronyms. This was like two entrepreneurs talking about a topic they are intimately familiar with but as a viewer I had lots of questions for which I would have to Google for answers. What is iSpirit all about? What was his role in going around convincing private players like Paytm, phonepe, juspay etc to adopt UPI. Who were the RBI governor's that didn't or did want to risk using UPi. Who are the architects of the India stack and their background etc other than Mr. Nilekani.
@@sampathkumar-ej7xl Noted. Thanks so much, Sampath for writing such detailed feedback. We will work on each of them. Also sharing your message with Sharad Sir :) Stay tuned for new eps 💚
In April 2009, National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) was formed to integrate all the payment
mechanisms in India and make them uniform for all retail payments.
RBI released the vision statement of UPI in 2012.
No you are wrong a smart techie from Vadnagar Gujrat did all this😂😂
LOL nice try. First came IMPS (immediate payment service) which can be done through SMS as vast majority of Indians only had 2G phones. And it was a big flop. IIT Madras was part of it. But they learnt lessons from that. And in 2016 they launched UPI. This also would not have been possible without JIO disrupting the market through cheap data.
We were so lucky to host Sharad on the show and what an amazing episode!
Truly lucky and very grateful for this amazing opportunity 🙏

An incredible interview. His in-depth vision is what makes the difference in future country development.
And it's true, what Spain sells to other countries when they have a lot of resources and professionals? It's the perfect example of a country running the downhill. Warm regards from Madrid ❤

This is an outstanding podcast ! Lot to learn and just love how we are progressing!
Really appreciate your kind words and thank you so much for supporting us... We're glad you could learn some valuable insights from the podcast!
Great video but misleading title
It's not misleading. He played a key role in Aadhar and creating the digital infrastructure in India.
@@nansimishra256 that is fine but the video is much more about it. The UPI struggle is just a subpart.
Hey Akash thank you for sharing your thoughts, the reason we went with UPI in the title is because of palatable nature of the term for our audiences and we wanted to ensure that a wider audience could tune in to an extremely insightful episode... Regardless we appreciate the feedback and shall look to improve on them for future episodes 🤗🙏
Yes, the title is incorrect. It should be "Why India needs product; the culmination of value addition
@@TheNeonShoww The title unfortunately brings down the appeal for this mind-blowing interview.. makes it feel too trivial. I would ideally keep it more macro-level and idealistic/inspiring. Something like:
1) "Making India a Product Nation in 15 Years"
2) "The Man Silently Building India's Product Backbone"
Or make use of Sharad Sharma's popular sobriquet "Orbit Change Catalyst"
Such a wonderful episode. So much to learn from who just stepped into 30s. Tremendous knowledge and experience is my takeaway. Thanks a lot and this was my first watch from your channel. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for your comment!
Nice podcast as always 😊

Your guests are so wonderful.
We will indeed check on it and Thank you for tuning in!
Haha! Manyak, I showed your comment to Siddhartha's mom. She thinks he looks nice only 😅 But I will work on it :)
There are so many people behind India Stack, I wasn't aware off
Now you get know a glimpse of it!
Brilliant. May be the first interview I watched twice. I would say actually we need part 0 of this interview not part 2 - introducing this wonderful guest and his overall contribution to Indian stack.❤
We all had a great time with Sharad sir and trying to reach out him because of these kind words. Will keep in mind about your suggestion when we get him back on the podcast!
I heard the best podcasts until now. We need more and more talking about how India has to become a true product nation. We need more and more going in design and research of heavy machines to 3d machines small molecules machines.
that is the combination taken by the three heroes of Atlas shrugged
6:27 Fritjof kapra, not indian but read his books. Very on point about physics advancing because of philosophical thought from non-Western thinkers.
Great initiative
We need part 2 with different topics
Waiting for your video
We are also looking forward to have Sharad sir back for PART 2.
Make sure to subscribe to check it out once it comes❤
I just chanced upon this podcast. It has been such an revelation and enlightenment. Thank you.

Brilliant stuff ! Which Satya did he refers to at around 43.00 ?
He refers to Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft. Thank you for Tuning in!
What is nps?? 50:31
Nps is net promoter score which is a way to gauge consumer loyalty
Great video 🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thanks for the support and love! Hoping that you would Tune in for more!
There is nothing brain drain about it. India has too much competition, pedigree, and "safarish". And the world will accommodate us.Chow ! And sometimes there are no jobs for what one is Qualified for ? Where are the graduates of Indian Statistical Institute ... They are working for Hedge Fund firms in London, NY, Zurich
This is a very fair assessment of the situation as well, we appreciate you sharing your insights and thank you so much for tuning in 🙏
wow, what an amazing conversation

Which Engineering college requirements is Medical check up especially eye exam ? Definitely not in your time.. needless to say.. I know it by experience...
What is the name of Satya's book?
what is NPS ??
NPS is known as net promoter score which measures loyalty of a company's customer base
Raguram rajan❤

@TheNeonShoww The title unfortunately brings down the appeal for this mind-blowing interview.. makes it feel too trivial. I would ideally keep it more macro-level and idealistic/inspiring. Something like:

Hey there, we are definitely taking these title suggestions into consideration and will likely use one of them so thank you so much 🙌🏾 and really appreciate your kind thoughts on the interview as a whole as well!
Taiwan has TSMC !
Correction : Spain does make Submarines. They are trying to sell the same thing to us
Thank you for sharing you insight regarding this topic!
Great Vlog by the way. Enjoyed watching. Looking forward to more such vlogs. Appreciate your efforts
Which Avinash is he talking about
He is referring to Avinash Raghava, CEO of SaaSBOOMi! Thank you so much for tuning in 🙏
China literally 'stole' a seat at the table. Huawei being an example. Can India do it?
In the future we have possibilities, As Indian brands and Indian products are starting to rise.
what is NPS
NPS refers to the net promoter score which gauges a customer's satisfaction with a company's product!
The ideo of Aadhar is good but the implementation not so much. I don't even remember the no of times the whole database is hacked and data is compromised. RIP privacy. And the fake Aadhar Id's is an open secret still its been over decade still you don't see the level of maturity an app of such scale and application should have. You are the gatekeeper of at least 100crore of 15% of humanity for god's sake
Itni daraawni awaz mei kyo bol rae 😮
"Damn work" "steal share away" these are too harsh language.
If India sells something, can other countries use such words like thief?
What's wrong with Indian culture?
.
Incomplete analysis and remedy , veating about the bush instrad of discussing core problems in our system , when you point out issues then just suggest alternatives to the individual, entrepreneurs and government.
Report this, congress has nothing to do with implementation of UPI
In April 2009, National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) was formed to integrate all the payment
mechanisms in India and make them uniform for all retail payments.
RBI released the vision statement of UPI in 2012.
most credit goes to brilliant minds in RBI not to any government.
Want to see Astra here soon
We will definitely try to get them on the podcast!
