Composers are almost always skilled at an instrument, but not every composer was Rachmaninoff, Liszt, or Paganini. We still laud the creatives, and they generally are the ones whose names are memorialized in the annals of history. It's a pretentious statement, but it's true. Travis Dogg should feel accomplished for pushing competitively-viable new ground.
for the record, granady around the time this was recorded was hunting uncleared ATs and targeted snow car ATs a lot, good chance he played this once and decided to play something else lol
The more you play this map, the more sure I am that I've walked around in it, in a dream I had years and years ago. I keep getting the sense that dreams are made of fragments of memory that travel backwards in time to intersect us in the past. Or maybe, whenever we're dreaming, we can just access imagery from all the memories we'll ever have, even in the future.
I think that when stuff like this happens, it's your brain spazzing out and putting the experience straight onto your hard drive instead of loading it into RAM. I've been trying to find opportunities to experiment and disprove my statement above. Like if I watch a newly released movie and suddenly feel like I've seen that EXACT same thing before, I'll pause and see if I can accurately predict what'll happen. Annoyingly it's more common for it to happen IRL so there is no pause button. And it's so rare overall that when you get the chance, you're not expecting it and just marvel at the experience. It's a cool, albeit eerie feeling when it happens, though :D

Author time is set when making the map. It’s to prove the map is doable. It’s never part of the official scores for a map, as it can be cheated or set with tools anyway. If an author wants their time in the leaderboard, they must set an author time, release the map, and then beat it again.
I love how every single interaction I learn about with ice is the dumbest, most arbitrary nonsense I've ever heard of. And since I actually play the game, by "love" I mean "hate." Worst material. It's like they saw kacky and went "let's put a watered-down version of that in the base game."
