Absolutely unbelievable performance!!!!!! He played this song right in front of me on the 1994 tour when he was with cynic and was out with sinister and Cannibal Corpse!!!!! I think you’re the only person on the planet that can play this song note for note!!!!!! I have been playing drums for 38 years and I’m completely lost watching you-- so unique and I can’t even believe that’s how much creativity he put into that song!!!!😮😮😮😮😮😮

SUPER CLEAN FINISH! Nicely done! I was looking STRAIGHT at Sean's feet in 1994, in Nashville Tennessee, watching his placement at the end of this song...I was trying to nail that myself back then. I learned SOOOOOoooo much from Sean's playing style. It was so fluid and amazing to watch. He was one with the instrument for sure. May he rest in peace.
Sean was the man. Thanks for sharing this story! I saw him few times between 2008 and 2013 but never back then. I wish I saw Cynic in 93-94, they were so amazing!
@ they absolutely were! The "Focus" tour was them on fire after they did the run with Death, supporting the "Human" LP, a few years back, which I also saw live. It was like watching history happen and a genre morph into something else. It was AMAZING! When Cynic came for the "Focus" tour in '94 the ENTIRE audience soaked them in like spiritual energy. Each musician had fans watching them like watching monks. The energy in the room was completely otherworldly. There's a video of that gig I found too. I can see the shadow of myself standing on the edge of the stage watching Sean. Crazy....
Oh yeah! I saw this video! All those bootlegs from that era are gems!

Bro it was amazing
Good saturday, being a drummer (not at your master level) this record is one that i listened more than any other , one of my greatest inspiration ever , Cynic and Death in the 90's , later i enjoied listen to Opeth's work also but i stopped my enthusiasm with the Blackwater park album, however i think that Reinert and Hoglan were possibly the most influential drummers for all of us (in metal obviously), nice to see that you used here a Yamaha, my first drumset was a rock tour custom, made in england, more than a great sound. By the way , chapeau and best wishes for your career !
