I’ve had this (and multiple others) entire ensemble from Marc memorized for nearly 10 years! Sorry to tell you but he has just changed the video to include the sheet music! I’m just an insane nerd for him, no disrespect :)
you are SO underrated. it blows my mind that fhornpatrick has more subs than you (nothing against him hes great too) but your videos are so much more work to make and you have half of the fan base he does
To be fair he’s been doing it (or did, guess he quit again) a lot longer and he played a lot of covers that got lots of views back in the day. I personally enjoy Marc more and my opinion of Patrick’s playing has actually changed for the worse slightly as I’ve played more but that’s just me
This has singlehandedly made me really want to play French Horn again, I played it in the school band for a while because they didn’t have an orchestra
Haha, you know you've been listening to too much Papeghin when none of the movies you watch sound right anymore!! Well done once again, Marc. This arrangement is smooth as can be and your playing continues to blow us all away!
Not sure how I ended up here as I don't play French horn and haven't been in an orchestra since I was 14, but my ears and eyes were glued to this video. Absolutely stunning arrangement of some classic movie soundtracks, gave me goosebumps at points :)
That was amazing. I didn’t want it to end. Have you ever considered a musical tribute to Epcot Center. Their original songs were incredible and a French Horn rendition would be brilliant.
Loved the fact that you only "used" one theme per composer. One could easily have filled a medley like this with several famous "tunes" by John Williams or Ennio Morricone, but instead you make room for some other great gems!
Love that you posted a new version of this!! I was so obsessed with the original video -- like, I would put it on repeat for hours obsessed. I liked it so much that I am still coming back to listen to it obviously, haha. I was pretty young when I found the first video and it introduced me to a WHOLE bunch of movies (like Oldboy, which is one of my faves now). Your hard work does not go unappreciated!
Oh - you also encouraged me to play the horn in addition to trumpet in high school! We actually did a medley of The Great Race's score when I was a senior in high school and I immediately thought of this video when we got it.
wow, im always so amazed by your medleys, how every theme blends into eachother is just absolutely stunning!! This gotta be one of my favourites, awesome work Marc!
I can't stop watching this! I wish more people would see this. It's probably my favorite video on UA-cam. Horn playing like this takes a lot of talent and hard work!
This is AMAZING Marc!!! As much as I love John Williams, I am happy to see he was not included in this. Same with Hans Zimmer. What an amazing medley!!!! Could you make a video of how you do your arrangements?!?! That would be very interesting to watch. Keep up the great work!!!!! You're extremely talented!!
@@echo2121 I am aware that he composed the score for the movie. However, the music in the songs (ie. Deliver Us from this medley) was composed by Stephen Schwartz, the song writer. And orchestrated by Klaus Badelt. Conducted by Harry and Rupert Gregson-Williams.
@@josephfremedcomposer I find it hard to believe Schwartz and Zimmer didn't work together on the entire soundtrack like nearly all collaborators do and chose to work individually, but regardless, it's trivial anyways
You're Right about Schwartz and the prince of egypt tune (Deliver us), but i'm sorry, marc played a williams tune :) (if not, it would have not been a Marc's Tribute to film music ;) ) , he plays Jaws at 2:40 ;).
Have you considered doing the medleys from Julie & Carol at Carnegie Hall, Julie & Carol at Lincoln Center, and Julie & Carol Together Again? They are great compilations of music from certain decades sung by Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett. The first one is songs from 1900-1960 the second is the 60s and the third is 1970-1980. They are really quite a good selection of songs from the respective eras, and they display great use of counterpoint. I would love to hear you play these songs, as you are THE master of medleys. Anyway, I am a horn and trumpet player myself, and I particularly love to follow along with your Prince of Egypt videos. Your playing hits me so much I get goosebumps every time I listen without fail. Keep up the great work.
Extremely well done, great staccato & tone. Your learning curve is extremely high. Keep at it, as a professional musician or even amateur you get more out of music than you put in. I have many, many, friends i have met through music, i have travelled to over 20 countries & got paid for it. If you want to be a professional musician (& earn a decent living) you will need to treat your music like that. Get yourself out there & play with as many people as you can. Music is more about personal referrals than any other field. I recorded a TV ad for United Airlines & literally had to hit 3 crotchets on a timpani & hit a cymbal once & it paid $1300 literally for about 20 minutes work. Good luck with everything & i look forward to seeing more videos. Keep up the good work.
Ah! The Sea Hawk by Erich Korngorld , favourite one great epic score ! Also '' Psycho '' main theme by Bernard Hermann , the most iconic horror - mystery soundtrack of cinema history ! What have you done to me Marc ?
This is great and I love it. 😍😊☺️🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 Congratulations on all your success and I am looking forward to hearing more of your wonderful musical work in the future. 😊😊🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 Best of wishes to you. 😊😍🎶🎶🎶🎶
That was fantastic! My particular favorites were Blazing Saddles, Willy Wonka (those high notes!), Mulan, Back to the Future, Lord of the Rings, Up, Avatar, Robin Hood, and uh, *all of them*
Please help, I can't figure out the songs names in the ending credits. It's been turning in my head for days... Beautiful piece, especially loved the rythmic breaks between fast&dynamic songs and slow&melodic parts.
Thank you ! Songs in the credits are : - Nobody Does It Better from "The Spy Who Loved Me" (Marvin Hamlish) - Boo's Going Home from "Monsters' Inc." (Randy Newman)
