This film and this soundtrack ALWAYS make me cry. This video is perfect, congratulations and don't stop working, you are the best.
Thanks !!
Always makes me cry too 😊
You know? I think that this is the only transcription (to my knowledge) of the trumpet solo at 3:59. I’ve been looking for what’s played for YEARS, but glad to finally see it somewhere. Cool stuff!
When I hear this song, I think of different possible life paths; those taken, those not taken. Lives that could’ve been that aren’t, ones that are that may not have been. For me, this song is all about matters of the heart.
Such moving playing Marc. You really make those high notes just sing :')
Oh Gosh man, every time I hear you play it gets better and better
Hello! La La Land is my most favorite movie, also I love the Horn, so I’m glad to listen to this music. Thanks!!!!!
That measure at 2:01 is weirdly addicting to me and it’s stuck in my head. This is really good and now I’m going to try to learn to play some of it.
This is so beautiful. I am a 17 year studing for my diploma in a month and watching this video shows me how much I can still improve. Thank you for making such an amazing video!
Simply perfect
Gracias 🙏
You just made my life so much better
You make it sound better than the actual thing. Thank you so much and as long as you enjoy this please do more!
I don’t ever comment on anything but just wanted to say this is incredible! I played the french horn through most of school but had some health issues in my final year which meant I had to take a break. I’ve struggled to keep it up through uni but every time I see one of your videos I feel inspired to. Thank you so much for keeping my love of the instrument alive!!
Dang that was incredible bravo!
Thanks !! Such wonderful music to play :)
@@Marc_Papeghin it is!
High D at the end. Nice Marc.
I LOVED LA LA LAND. Thank you for making a cover :)
Una tecnica veramente eccellente! Complimenti!!!
Grazie !! 🙏
I absolutely love the epilogue to this film and you played it so beautifully! I’m a first year horn major at university this year, and this has really inspired me :)
Слухаю вас уже 6 рік і ви не перестаєте дивувати!!! Браво!!!
Key change to Eb looked tricky. Ur a monster!!
I’ve always wanted to hear this on French horn and never thought I would!
Marc you absolutely killed it, I want to get as good as you some day
Não canso de assistir esse vídeo. Show.
You’re an excellent musician.
Man you guys are amazing. I am in the LSO & you guys could walk in to the 2nd or 3rd chair easily. It's great you are spreading the Universal language. Music is a wonderful way to meet people, travel the world (Even with some semi-professional bands), get life long friends & here some of the greatest music in the world conducted by some of the greatest conductors in the world. Many years ago when i was around 22 i was asked to fill in for a sick player & the conductor was some guy i never heard of called Valery Girgiev. It was only about 10 years ago someone told me he was some famous, legendary conuctor who was very famous in Russia & the band was the Sydney Symphony. I just did the concert & left, never asked the name of the Orchestra. Unfortunately we did not hit it off well. In the rehersal i wasn't concentrating properly & it was a piece in 6/4 but he was conducting in Twelve. He had a go at me in front of the Orchestra & i called him a little shit to myself. Concert went off with out a hitch thank god.
E.T. (Particulary the last 15 minutes, Adventure on Earth) is the greatest music i have ever played & heard in my life. Do you guys have anything in your repertoire from E.T. Thank you so much for your videos & the time you take to produce them. Probably only musicians can appreciate the wonderful music that you give us. Are you guys in your Countrys Symphony orchestra ? You surely must be professional musicians ?
Everything about this video is PERFECT as always! The playing, the animated sheet music, and the song choice of course, awesome! Love it!
Incredible work Marc!! 😭 I really LOVE the performance + visuals, and the intricacy of the scoring
Mon dieu Marc! Your sound is so raw, so beautiful and intense. I could not stop myself from weeping and I was completely transfixed. The original music is so incredible and you transported me back to how emotional I felt at the end of the film the first time I saw it. I am definitely going to buy this arrangement and have a go myself and if I can even capture a tiny slice of the soul that you put into your music I would be a much improved horn player. Thank you once again for such a brilliant video, keep making stuff like this. You are an inspiration to us all!
Update: What have I signed myself up for?!?! Been practising this for a while now, will learn it even if it kills me! In some ways that's the thrill of the instrument: what doesn't defeat us makes us better players!
I did it!!!!!!!
Absolutely incredible!!!
Goosebumps, man! I've got goosebumps! Very awesome!
This is wonderfully made. Congratulations!!
Please if you have time, do The Greatest Showman. I would appreciate that
Magnifique musique, magnifique reprise (comme d'habitude !).
Awesome work as always!
Qué locura... eres un crack, saludos desde España.

Wow Marc... Finished the video, it's 1 in the morning and really don't know what to do. Touching, perfectly written as always. Love the movie, the soundtrack, but your version is a masterpiece. Definitely will try to play on my horn (except the high D's..:D beast..). Thank you for this, You are the best! #lovefromhungary

For a moment i thought "will Marc really play that a´´´ on the trumpet (because that one is really hard to get)?
Not this time. :-D
But as always: tremendous job!
Haha, I actually considered it but...naaah, I must admit I have my limits 😁
And thanks 🙂

This man tried to flex his skills with this one😂

It sounds extremely good! Have you had thoughts on upgrading your Horn?
Wow, that's crazy and fascinating at the same time. How can you play especially this song? I'm speechless. WOW. Is it possible buying this arrangement?
Thanks !

PORRA MUITO TOP ,EU CURTO TODOS OS VÍDEOS E AMO VER VC TOCA ,MINHA INSPIRAÇÃO 👏👏👏
Это очень классно
This is so awesome! Do you have some accompaniment music to go along with the solo? You play this so well dude!
Thanks ! I just play along with the original track :)
@@Marc_Papeghin nice! Could you send me the version of the soundtrack you play with? I'm putting together a recital and this would be pretty awesome
@@thomasrice7576 Here it is :) ua-cam.com/video/HSg3tBzAVFk/v-deo.html
trumpet version🤠??
thank you for the video, I really like these arrangements, I am also really curious how did you get those background orchestra music? did you all arrange them by yourself as well? or you get from the from source and then remove the main track?
Sometimes I recreate the background with virtual instruments, but in this case I simply played over the original track 🙂
trop dur j'y arrive pas ☹
Hi Marc, love your videos! I'm assuming you use a green screen but I was wondering - how do you prevent the green from being reflected in your bell? Whenever I make videos, parts of my horn get cut out because the green backdrop is reflected in my bell. Thanks!
Hey Jack ! I actually have the same issue, if you look closely a little part of the bell is transparent and we can see the background...but since it's really small I don't bother trying to fix it ! One trick would be to have a black (or other color) silhouette animated behind so that it fills the holes created by the chroma key :)
