I've had this drink minus the aspirin (a "friend" bought it for me to try at a local bar.) Finished it by pounding it all at once. I also dislike tomatoe juice. Fun times 😂
I couldn’t do the last one. But beer with tomato juice and other items I drink all the time as micheladas. Very good and spicy but definitely no egg or aspirin involved.
If you ever have to eat a whole raw egg again, don't break the yolk. Oh. Bless your heart. I like tomato juice and I would have done one sip. "And there you have the Red Eye from Cocktail."
Timestamps are GOLD. Whoever wrote those is a genius. "If you like tomato juice..." I'm dying over here. 😂😂😂 Btw, "why am I even doing this?"... the clicks Steve. The clicks. 😂
Whoever has a palette that appeals to that last drink is probably the same type of person that'll stare at a bottle of orange juice for hours because it says "concentrate."
Hahaha you looked so uncomfortable during the Red Eye! Understandably of course, you're a better man than I for actually taking a sip, loved that your wife was like was like "go on!" with laughter in her voice hahah
The Old Fashion was hilarious, watching you make it, but suffering ( HAHAHAHA). The Red Eye, it seemed like you were trying to pump yourself up to drink it and when you did your true feelings came out. Your trooper my friend. Thanks for putting out great cocktails.
Ok so full transparency I don't think I've ever had any kind of cocktail....ever. But I just came across your channel looking for vids about hard cider. I started binging you're vids and you're just so chill and seem passionate and knowledgeable about what you do. And of course you have a lovely smile. Guess I need to find one of your cocktails that really sticks out to me and give it a try....cheers.
🇨🇦 In Saskatchewan we add some coke to a White Russian and call it a Paralyzer. You should give that a try. Love the channel and keep up the great work Steve!
Steve, I could almost feel your pain with that last cocktail. I actually like tomato juice, but I hate Miller and I HATE raw egg. Just the sight of a raw egg makes me wanna vomit, but seeing you stir up the drink put me over the edge. Thank you so much for not finishing the drink because I almost had an anxiety attack! LOL!! Congrats on 500K, I love your vids ; )
Steve you cracked me up when you created the old fashioned. I know that it does not reflect you at all but it was funny seeing you being very critical of the drink. Your wife’s comments in the background are hilarious.
Me and my family are big fans of The Blues Brothers and have always wondered how to make an orange whip Definitely gonna get some rum and Cointreau and give it a try someday! Hope that last drink didn’t ruin ya stomach too much!
Really enjoyed this! If you were to do any more film/TV inspired videos I’d love to see two versions of each drink; as they made it in the film and then as you would make it yourself, with a direct comparison taste test.
@@StevetheBartender_ Very good idea, since you missed the Vodka Blush from "Rosemary's Baby" (1967). It was basically all vodka, with a dash of lime juice and Grenadine served in a champagne flute... very potent ! No wonder these people were seeing the devil! I turned it into a shooter, since it was so strong. I served it at a Halloween party once (in champagne flutes, as a featured cocktail), and found 3 people under my dining room table the next morning...... It's a simple recipe, but deadly: 2 1/2 OZ. Vodka, 3/4 OZ fresh lime juice, and 1-2 dashes of grenadine. Shake briefly with ice, strain, and serve in a champagne flute. I think you may improved this into not being so deadly!
Fabulous TV series - Sex and the City!! I miss it!! Fun cocktail!! Although, I have a massive preference for complex herbacious, bitter cocktails!! I loved the Mad Men scene with the Old Fashioned!! :-) I would not be able to drink The Red Eye!!! Lol!!! Hilarious! Great episode Steve. Congratulations on 500,000 subscriptions!! That's so awesome!! :-)
Thanks to wonderful channels like yours, I have recently begun exploring the world of historical drinks & cocktails (currently working my way through through the 19th century up to the 1930s). It's been a wonderful, fascinating, and oftentimes tasty look at our drinking past. I was just wondering though, in terms of French Vermouth (which I understand to be a dry vermouth) is Cinzano Blanc, or Cinzano Extra Dry a suitable substitute?
Blanc will be sweet but both are good alternatives. I'm exploring vermouth as well check out Spanish vermouth if you can get it as well as the French quinas. They make great summer tipples as well as good cocktail modifiers.
I sense the way to make this particular recipe of an Old Fashioned in a way is pretty masculine. And strain it through your fingers?? Haha, damn unorthodox. I just love it!
I’ve seen Blues Brothers probably about a dozen times. Every time I picture some sort of ice cream-type dessert and not a cocktail. I guess I thought they were above drinking on the job 🤷🏼♀️😆
I'd love to see James Bond's Dry Martini (or Vesper): "1 oz Vodka , 3 oz Gordon's dry gin, ½ oz Lillet. Shake it over ice, and add a thin slice of lemon peel."
Things got interesting by the last cocktail!! Unsure how anyone could drink the last one... could you?
Not even a little bit. 🤣
I've had this drink minus the aspirin (a "friend" bought it for me to try at a local bar.) Finished it by pounding it all at once. I also dislike tomatoe juice. Fun times 😂
Omg beer tomatoes juice egg and a couple of asprins!!!! Why not!?!?!? 🤣🤣🤣 BEST VIDEO EVER!!
Actually, beer and tomato juice is the one of the most famous drinks in México, especially as a hangover cure
I couldn’t do the last one. But beer with tomato juice and other items I drink all the time as micheladas. Very good and spicy but definitely no egg or aspirin involved.
I appreciate how much it hurt you to make these as they are in the movie instead of how you actually make them 😂
Haha, I somewhat know what I'm doing - I swear! 😂
@@StevetheBartender_ We need part 2 where it's your version of each.
Ok thank u
I'm such a big movie guy so this video was awesome. All the cocktails that represent each movie was great! A part 2 will definitely be needed!
Yeah, I think these were probably the most common / well known cocktails from movies but there's plenty more options to do for sure!
@@StevetheBartender_ maybe next time Polynesian Pearl Diver from Django Unchained? 😁
My new Pearl Diver glasses were delivered last week!!
@@StevetheBartender_ that cannot be a coincidence 😍
Yeah! Vesper Martini could be in part 2 ;-) 🍸
I love the effort steve put into trying to finish the red eye ABSOLUTE CHAMP
I’m over here saying, out loud, “don’t do it don’t do it don’t do it,” when Steve replies, “I can’t do it guys.” 🤣 The relief when you stopped. 😃
100% AGREE!!!!!
If you ever have to eat a whole raw egg again, don't break the yolk. Oh. Bless your heart. I like tomato juice and I would have done one sip. "And there you have the Red Eye from Cocktail."
Loved Kats ballbusting "Go on do it " in the background
Timestamps are GOLD. Whoever wrote those is a genius.
"If you like tomato juice..."
I'm dying over here. 😂😂😂
Btw, "why am I even doing this?"... the clicks Steve. The clicks. 😂
Whoever has a palette that appeals to that last drink is probably the same type of person that'll stare at a bottle of orange juice for hours because it says "concentrate."
The same type of people who look up and down before crossing the street.
When Steve broke the yolk, I literally screamed “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!” Then gagged right after.
When you drank that last one after you stirred the egg up, I screamed in horror! NooOOooOoO
I can't do runny egg yolks, so I feel his pain here. Clamato and I don't get along, adding a raw egg on top = noooooooooo ty.
wow Steve, that's some old fashioned you made there, pretty reflective of your bartending skills I'd say
:p
Just a riot of an episode! Wish I could double thumbs up man.
I like the commitment to sticking to the original method.
I love the face with the last drink!!! You’re hysterical!!!
i worked in Australia for 3 years and i confirm limes are expensive af :D Love your channel from Italy
this video proves we love Ol Steve more than any cocktail, cheers
Hahaha you looked so uncomfortable during the Red Eye! Understandably of course, you're a better man than I for actually taking a sip, loved that your wife was like was like "go on!" with laughter in her voice hahah
Loved the Red Eye reaction! I was literally LOL! My dogs were looking at me with a puzzled look.
I liked the Blues Brothers, definitely will try soon on a one nice sunny day!
Sex and the City cosmopolitans give you a dirty hangover in the morning 😂😂😂 My all time fave cocktail 💗💗💗
Hilarious - I loved it. Like watching bloopers.
The Old Fashion was hilarious, watching you make it, but suffering ( HAHAHAHA). The Red Eye, it seemed like you were trying to pump yourself up to drink it and when you did your true feelings came out. Your trooper my friend. Thanks for putting out great cocktails.
I’m loving the jaunty, happy-go-lucky background music.
Your a trooper Steve for trying that Red eye!!! Much love from Texas!!!!

Oh I laughed so hard at the horror on Steve's face while making some of these. Thank you for daring!
Love the facial features on ur hubbys face with the redeye sorry mr steve that was brilliant
Love the energy of the channel, feels like all these bartending channels have their own unique feel
Appreciate it Lucas! 🙌
your wife heckling in the background is giving me life lmao
Haha, she’s always heckling!
I take of my sombrero for you making that last one with horrendous tomato juice and egg.... I feel ya!
We appreciate you touching it out as long as you did!
my Mrs is happy with this. thanks. great vids

The best time stamp is Steve almost vomits at 15:00 within the description. Great vid!

Cocktail was the movie that sold me on bartending, but I've never (nor will I ever) make myself a Red Eye! 😋
Kat in the background 😆
She enjoyed it a little bit too much!
A fine supportive wife 😂😂😂
Congrats on 500k! What a milestone. This was a really fun video. I like the true to the film preparation!
No to the Red Eye. So a Bloody Mary cocktail video is out of the question then, Steve? 😀👍🏻
Thanks for taking one for the team man! You made me laugh so hard I spilled my gin and woke up the kid🤣🤣🤣
Its great to see how he tastes his own drinks and is very honest
Always a great sign, even if they don't suit your personal palate!
The supportive partner chant at 15:00 killed me 🤣
I'm a little disappointed you weren't more proud of how perfectly your free-poured 'old fashioned' fit into the glass!
Haha, I was disappointed that my finger straining was completely unnecessary..
Love the videos but you went from good to awesome when u mentions blues brothers 👍👍👍

Sir I admire your courage for drinking the "Red Eye". And indeed it should've been a Fatality but you muddled through.
Great episode. I love the idea of just following the movies. It's so fun
Love the Video's....but....fair play drinking the Red Eye.....👍
Hah, thanks man.. that was rough

love the concept !

Dang, GZ on 500K!! I remember you hitting 200K!!! ♥

Really appreciate the commitment and the sacrifice 🤣🤣
The last drink did it... So funny 😂😂😂
That face drinking the Red Eye😁😁😁. Poor Steve. Maybe something from Islay as a cure?
Now that's good entertainment. LOL. Don't blame you for the defeat. Hahahaha
Congrats for the 500k subs!. Great work!
I like the fact that there is a variation in terms of diet✌️
Hi Steve, I am just curious. Are Becherovka and Fernet Stock available in Australia? Maybe you could try some Czech cocktails in future :)
The Red Eye - laughing 😂
Steve, you drinking that Redeye is so funny, you took one for the team mate.
Bless you for trying that Redeye.

your the man steve for that last cocktail lool
