      Need to use fresh lemon juice - there’s no alternative to lemon/lime juice. If it’s fresh squeezed juice in a bottle that you can buy then that’s okay... but not something that is from concentrate or has any additives..

  • @jdstibbs4242

    Next time, stick with one main spirit and variations thereof and let the rest of the 10 be the mixer/ingredient
    p.s. always include the bloopers!! ALWAYS

      Yeah definitely.. it was super limiting with only lemon juice to work with.. but that works for a quarantine special I guess.. I’ll definitely tweak the next one.

      @@StevetheBartender_ it was still a great video and a unique idea. I'm a rum drinker as you know (I think) so even if you limit it to just rum you still have light, dark, aged, spiced, flavored etc. Other spirits are the same. I'm sure it's hard to keep coming up with new ideas but I appreciate the effort

    Steve, I‘ve a question. What do you think about using sugar and not simple syrup in the coctails? Would you say you can get the same flavours out of your drink (with „fresh“ sugar), or do you think the symple syrup is the better option?

    • @StevetheBartender_
      @StevetheBartender_  4 роки тому

      You'll get a very similar tasting drink (if you can get the sugar to dissolve)...but most likely it will leave granules in the drink. Making a simple syrup just makes it easier to mix into the drink... (and heating on the stove changes the molecular structure and makes it ever so slightly sweeter)

    Really a good video..! I've got to make some honey syrup and get wifey into the cocktail fold! I'm with you, the Pegu sounded hinky and 8 dashes of bitters in the TJ Smash..?! The silly Moscow Mule has taught me the beauty of ginger beer. A great video, one to definitely save..!

    I keep running out of citrus!
    For common ingredients, I think most people have Vermouth. In America, a lot of people don't have honey, btw, but we all have sugar.
