Obviously, fresh off DBFZ, I had something like that in mind but it feels weird that it got popular enough to get a game, yet it might as well not exist because why bother making one when it's just the same lame template being shat out. It's crazy that they have so many high-profile IPs and just use them as toilet paper.
dbfz should have started a revolution but spikechunsoft and cyber2 just dont care, they will never learn. Riot is taking on dbfz steps with their fighting game though and it looks great. not an anime game but close with that style.
I'm a Bleach guy myself and the fact that we're getting a console game in about a decade is magical to me. That being said I want more than anything for it to be at least decent and fun.
Felt that intro so hard most anime games just feel like a cash grab on the ip it feels like they put in the bare minimum of work everytime with zero passion on the project
5:18 See now that’s a tough spot to be in; you can say that but how are we really supposed to know? Going off of previous success in a series plus advertising of “New and Improved” leads us to make that purchase every time. It just sucks that they keep trying to rush the development and rely on “we can fix that in our next patch”
We need better quality products for us anime gamers. Lotus broke it down to a molecule and showed many problems with these games. Developers are bullying our wallets, making us buy them after a while we regret it now because the games are not polished and having no communication, support, or anything. We deserve a whole lot better than this.
I get what you're trying to say but let's not get on the developers themselves. While they do make the game they can't magically give themselves more time to create the game if an executive doesn't give them that time. At the end of the day developers have little say in almost everything when it comes to the game and this is more seeing it in my eyes, why would someone who's job is to develop just purposely release such a unfinished product unless they had to.
Naruto and DBZ games (and by some extension one piece) have the luxury to have games that look/play good because by default they're literally one of the most popular series ever. That means those companies are able to take risks on budget. Hell, My Hero Academia had TWO fighting games until they pivoted to battle royal. Arena fighters happen because they're safe especially on new IPs like JJK. If it works out they get an even more polished sequel or new genre (like the PS2 Naruto and dragon ball games)

I'm with you man, I've given up hope for anime games, and honestly I was disappointed seeing some people buying and hyping up Connections. I completely understand being a fan of a series, and with Storm being something most of us grew up with I can see how it's hard to resist not giving the next one a chance, but ultimately buying these games makes you part of the problem like you said, and something really has to give. I hope as a community we stop tolerating these shitty games, and encourage everyone we know to stop paying them any mind until some of these companies actually start trying to make something good. I agree that arena games aren't inherantly the issue, they're just not made with any care currently. But I do wanna see different genres, like with what Cygames are doing with GBVSR and Relink (Really fun game btw, the demo was fire!). Once these publishers find out a decent amount of people are comfortable with buying trash low effort games, they're just gonna keep giving us the same thing, again and again and again. I hope things change, but I feel like a lot of people aren't sceptical about what they buy anymore, and even though we're all complaining about it here on the internet, I fear we might be the minority
Well, it was clearly as day that the ONLY decent Arena Anime fighting game around and STILL living are the Gundam Extreme Vs series though it got like 20+ year to perfect the formula and even Capcom helped them reach the better height.
I can't speak for most of the games said here but ultra rumble is pretty healthy and the devs do their part. Its got wack monetization but hey who doesn't.
The devs don’t do their part are you kidding? 3 seasons in for a new map, only 4 villains in the game, and not even having new characters ready by the start of season 3.
@@calebnelson58 well yea half of their team is working on jjk cursed clash. Plus if you keep adding characters to a broken game then it's shit with just more characters. I'd rather them fix the internal problems, which they've done for the most part. I understand your frustration but I've seen too many games that think more chars will suddenly fix their problems.
Yea we definitely deserve better this is the final year I truly invest in all anime fighting games imma play jjk, nen impact, bleach and sparking zero and if they don't keep me playing past 2 months I fear I'm gonna be bandai's number one hater for all their anime game projects
I feel every ounce of that frustration my bruda. to little to late. was watching to see how its doing since ive bought so many anime fighters on steam. Im tired of having a miniscule player base on pc T-T.
I think the worst part of Cursed Clash is the lack of local multiplayer. Like you're gonna have a fighting game without a offline 1v1, which is thecore of fighting game??? C'mon
I totally agree with you bro , we could have games like tekken 8 and mkx for anime but the devs don't wanna invest in they're work so why should we invest in them
I'm glad someone finally said jjk looks trash. The bare minimum for trashy anime games was that they were supposed to look great. Terrible systems but they were at least supposed to look good. Jjk cursed clash doesn't even look good visually and I see people defending it in these comments. Keep getting ripped off if you want. The anime scene needs creators and players to keep complaining until quality is delivered. It happened for fighting games so it can happen for anime games. Demand better gameplay and netcode please

Wait wait wait connections is getting dlc?! Did they actually fix private lobbies or is that a dead wish…. *got a little later in vid he discusses it* definitely feels to late for me was so hype on release but it’s been about 2 months
I feel like the issue is that Anime game fans support the obvious BS/Cash grabs, yet ignore the decent games or call them trash. For example, instead of focusing on Naruto Connections and JJK, I wish more people supported games like Granblue fantasy relink or other good games.
Does anyone still play Demon Slayer lol had that game been updated with more characters, I haven’t played it in forever so I prolly never will cuz skill issue 😅💀
For me good recent anime games are like Captain Tsubasa Rise of New Champions, probably JoJo's All Star Battle R, Rush Duel in Duel Links, Gundam Versus, personally even Breakers for me. Also I'll say this, America does not get all the anime games that came out. I've been recently playing the Beyblade games on 3ds/Switch + One Piece Grand Battle X which essentially Jump Stars but One Piece. If you're wondering what's my breaking point of "I can't buy this game" it's WWE 2K20. Not even Jump Force could get to a state that low.
Ngl, i’m blame some content creators a lot for making garbage profitable. Most people knew that connections will be garbage. It has the worth of 10$ at best. It’s a storm 4 dlc. Well, worse, because they even butchered the story mode. Then content creators start hyping it up with their bs early access sponsored content. “Is This The Best Arena Fighter Ever? You Won’t Believe It! Amazing!” And then people start mass buying these craps. After that, why would they put effort into them? They make their easy money every few years.
On the topic of it being too little too late, I think for me it depends on whether or not there is a balance patch. If they took one look online they'd see all the busted stuff people are (rightfully) complaining about. If they patch even some of it, I'll know they're listening. If they don't touch any of it, I know they have no idea what's going on and that's really disappointing.
How come we don’t see 3D anime fighters? Tekken, virtua fighter, Dead or Alive. For what I can tell the only 3D Fighter out right now is Tekken. Actually I want to see a anime themed Dead or Alive. With big open destructible stages and stage hazards
I’m thinking we have to many arena fighters to close together. I think we are getting Naruto, Demon Slayer, and a future shonen jump game. There all the same genres for the same group of anime fans and would play loosely the same.
They called me crazy for taking this stance on anime games since they traded the Ultimate Ninja series for the Ninja Storm series. Nobody believed we were getting worked over until FighterZ dropped. If we moved like this earlier Arena fighters would never have got off the ground and we'd be talking about Yuji Itadori vs Jin Kazama as a possible crossover battle in 2026 because developers would've seen the cash cows that competitive anime fighters were. I just be dreaming fr
I think the biggest reason why we have so many arena fighters is because it's the safest option investment-wise. As much as I would enjoy having fighting games for multiple anime IPs I love, I'm gonna be honest. It's too risky. Casuals, assuming they're willing to shelve out 60-70+ dollars for a fighting game with little to nothing in terms of content besides "Arcade" "Versus", a mediocre story and "Online", will drop it after a couple of months, and soon after a good chunk of its playerbase will leave alongside the influencers for whatever new shiny toy with rollback is coming out next. If you can't gain a good enough playerbase, then what's the point of taking the risk? God forbid you don't release with rollback day 1 or your game is dead on arrival. On the other hand, they can rarely ever attempt to branch out into a new genre like an RPG or literally anything else without fans screaming and hollering "WHAT IS THIS TRASH? NOT A FIGHTING GAME? MID MID MID" every 5 goddamn seconds. I WANT games to branch out more! I WANT more games like the Fairy Tail RPG or SAO Fatal Bullet! Demon Slayer getting a Mario Party clone? It's goofy but I rock with it. Hell the Spy x Family game where you're literally just living Anya's life seems like a fun vibe game. But the unfortunate truth is that whenever there IS something new, nobody's there to show interest. So we go back to square one and out comes the safe option arena fighter with an decent amount of content and 6 or 7/10 gameplay to make it feel like it's at least somewhat worth 60 dollars for casual players. Then people scream how "nobody wanted this" and it becomes the same unfortunate cycle.
Bro talking facts That's one reason i don't really play arena/anime game anymore I even didn't bought storm connection and i don't really care Naruto game is part of my childhood especially storm series
No lotus u was spitting in this video we I agree with what u said when u was talkin about not buying it to show them they need to make more games cuz bro… shit like Storm Connections been gettin me hot
Are you aware about the Tales franchise? For example, Tales of Abyss, Vesperia, Symphonia, etc Would be cool for someone to make a fighting game out of those characters.
Honestly, a lot of rpg would be great as a fighting game lol. My personal wish is for disgaea to have one. Especially since phantom brave have a fighting game looking sprite anyway in the cutscenes
I was watching Shikasclouds talking about Naruto Storm Connection. Connections is really bad. I wish CyberConnect 2 kept the storm generations mechanics
I think the biggest issues is that people nowadays complain way too damn much about any game to the point it feels like they don’t get enjoyment out of gaming in general.
Yeah I honestly couldn't justify buying it for the price point since it's basically like DLC for storm 4 and the combat is just so repetitive in storm games since the third one that I just really get bored with them after a couple of months. And it sucks because as a teenager, with the first few, I had so much fun playing them with friends but at this point I cannot let the nostalgia blind me to the reality of what they're pushing out.
I kind of want someone to be specific about what looks really bad in JJK Cursed Clash, to me the combat looks a little slow and floaty, but I'm not sure if that makes it garbage in my eyes.
That, to me, makes it garbage. It doesn’t feel impactful. It doesn’t look fluid. I don’t want floaty anime games. Byking’s style is not enjoyable to me. It feels cheap, lazy, and undercooked.
those are the two biggest reasons as to why its garbage lmfao also the graphics its 2024 we need fighter z levels of graphics for big anime games anything below is not acceptable
@@potheadraccoon8536 this is just straight up untrue the visuals of storm are fine and thats not "FighterZ" style, people dont' realize how expesnive that is to do. But I hear you on the gameplay.
7:13 real sheet. I’m biased cause I usually just never preferred arena anime fighters(SFIV fanatic here) but I can enjoy them for the most part! No lie they get so boring after one play for me and to be honest I think the best one out with the most potential is myhero2. Still got tons of dumb crap but the system got some thought!Game has more depth and the rest are damn near identical. Rinse and repeat. Haven’t bought any and probably won’t buy HxH or JJK. Devs don’t try anymore and we deserve better as I’m also a fan of these shows since a kid and I constantly get disappointed. Side note both times I was really excited OPM and Demon Slayer were making games, BOTH TIMES I was utterly heartbroken. Would it kill these folks to make quality unique games for these series?
I do think, we need to lay out what a good arena fighter looks like, or what a good anime fighter looks like. Because if I'm being honest, I don't get why some people don't like some of the games. Like I hear people say Jump Force was bad, and my first thought is that Jump Force was Tenkaiichi with non Dragon Ball characters.
I’ll be as honest as I can. I’ve indulged in this franchise since Ultimate Ninja Storm on PS2. I PUT MY NECK OUT FOR DEMON SLAYER and that didn’t treat us well on launch at all and killed more than half the player base with out endless matches. I really want to LOVE this game, but I’ve never, in my life, downloaded and redownloaded a game this much. We don’t even have private matches. I am not the best player on storm, in fact, I’m guilty as can be of whining when I lose. Hell, you’ve prolly got a rage message from me lmao Regardless, this game has titled me. I play on Xbox. I had everything I needed to start streaming this game on release, but I literally couldn’t. The servers were annihilated on launch for Microsoft and there was nothing I could do. So I waited and when the game had finally “fixed” the servers for my part of town, it was still a joke. The people I run into just use the most meta stuff they can find. I do my very best to just throw hands & have fun, but it’s incredibly difficult to enjoy the rank climb. I can’t invite friends and I can’t even invite people to beef sets. I wanna get stuff goin, I wanna have fun, have heart racing matches, have people prove me wrong, but I just can’t. I am currently, almost 30, having a midlife crisis over Naruto because the actual FGC is doing so much better. I sincerely, look at Street Fighter 6 like a new relationship. I’ve been testing the waters for months and honestly, I might put the energy in to find a proper main on that game. I don’t want to leave arena fighting at all, but with how I see my potential; I don’t want to waste my time with how little we get out of arena fighters.
Bro i have a lot of respect for you but there's no way you said Ultra Rumble has "lack of support and communication". They literally have a twitter and discord where they speak about whats going on nonstop and we know exactly what they're doing plus the game has a new update to balance things like every few weeks. Love the video though
Gotta disagree with you on the JJK game fam. As I've personally learned from Storm connections and Shinobi Strikers, graphics really don't mean much if the game (features, gameplay, functions, etc) are ass/ not there. The developer of the JJK game, "Byking" has their style of game which, love it or hate it, its their style. Those devs are the ones responsible for making the My hero battle royal and the My hero fighting game. Although the art style for their games are lacking imo, when it comes to netplay fluidy, character uniqueness and overall just making a fun game, I think they are some of the best at it. Plus we can expect (going by their previous titles) that they will have frequent updates and communication between devs and the player base. Not flaming anyone into playing a game they just cannot stand looking at though.
oh.. I'm guessing the problem you have with game is not the graphics but the combat/animations? If that's the case then fair enough to each their own. @@LotusAsakura
Didnt buy the game because of the fact that they didnt have custom match making but not only that they half assed the boss rush mode with all the fights and the voice acting was trash plus the side story was only decent from what ive seen. me personally I rather play storm 4 where everything was done correctly then this half assed game I spoke with my wallet and even though I was hyped for this game im not gonna be blinded by nostolgia or my like for naruto or any anime game for that matter. Its time we push for better quality games especially as anime fans but great video overall loved it. Edit: as for your comment about good anime games in the last 7 years me personally Honkai star rail and genshin impact (story wise its fine but genshin still has a lot of problems with end game and giving out rewards) have been fire. I loved Sword art Online Fatal Bullet and Sword art online Last recollection that just came out though I feel like those games are mostly for Sao fans then anything since they are mmo story rpgs (though side note the customization in fatal bullet and the story are straight fire but I digress). But hopefully we can get a good bleach game soon and that dragon ball sparking zero will be heat otherwise honkai star rail gonna take over for me personally cause they are cooking!
Me and my bro’s really used to chill and discuss perfect anime games they could make FOR HOURS. Then we get this JJK game and realise they don’t care about all that
I agree we vote with our wallet and im guilty too. I think this goes beyond even games and to all things anime in general. Adaptations, games, merch, etc. All low effort but other Adaptations of things like bridgerton and harry potter get top of the line budgets and care
Personally just my 2 cents but I bought it believing that it was basically generations/revolution the Naruto "storm" game in between the games. I believe that they did it in between 2/3 generations and 3/4 revolution so I think this is gonna be the between game before 4/5? 😅
I say they need to remake anime games that were good like the yu yu Hakusho dark tornment plus inuyasha Feudal combat was a decent fighting game story was short but still good but I'd like to see remake of those.
Like I'm not even tryna hate but the last 2 anime games (breakers n ultra rumble) and some of new ones (cursed clash) are ps3/ps4 quality. We in a like the 4th year of next gen so for games to be like this is downright despicable.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is proof that there is a market for good anime games and that you can make an amazing game that the community will love for years. So many anime games feel like cash grabs that just hurt the brand and loses consumer trust. I've stopped preordering anime game altogether. I'm finally voting with my wallet. If it doesn't have great reviews I'm not getting it.
I mean, that is the case, is it not? If anything, arena fighters only make a small percentage of them. It's just that people only seem to focus on these for some reason. Granted, a lot of them are JP exclusive so it's no wonder most people tend to not hear about them but even then, a good amount have been coming over. I almost want to go off and start listing a bunch, both recent and upcoming releases, to prove the point.
@@killerfist97 I guess it also depends on what you specifically mean by "anime games" but I'll try. Oh, and I'm refraining from mentioning gacha games. Let's see, as far as I'm recalling: The "Fate" series had "Fate/Samurai Remnant" (2023) not too long ago which was pretty well liked. There's also the upcoming "Fate/Extra" remake, "Fate/Extra Record" though that still doesn't have a release date yet. "One Piece" had "One Piece Odyssey" (2023) fairly recently. I haven't actualy heard much buzz about it but it seemed to review well. "Fairy Tail" had an RPG developed by the "Atelier" developers, just called "Fairy Tail" (2020). "Record of Lodoss War" has had a couple but most recently, there was "Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth" (2020). A pretty good 2D action-platformer. A bit older, but "Fist of the North Star" had "Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise" (2018) which was developed by the "Yakuza" developers. And yes, it's basically a "Yakuza" game but with "Fist of the North Star" characters and setting. "Grendizer" had "UFO Robot Grendizer: The Feast of the Wolves" (2023). Apparently it's pretty simple and short but it nails the source material, so it's more for fans. "Yohane the Parhelion" had "Blaze in the Deepblue" (2023) which is a 2D Action-Platformer as well as "Numazu in the Mirage", a card-based rougelite, which is supposed to be releasing soon-ish. A big one is for "Granblue Fantasy". Well, "Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising" (2023) is a new version of the fighting game that released in December. But there's also "Granblue Fantasy Relink", some kind of action RPG, which is supposed to be releasing next month in February. "Konosuba" had a couple games as well. "Revival of Beldia" (2017) was a "Megaman" clone that was bundled with one of the Blu-ray volume releases. Both "Labyrinth of Hope and the Gathering Adventurers" (2019) and "Cursed Relic and the Perplexed Adventurers" (2022) are DPRGs. Though all of these are JP exclusive. The only entry that's gotten, or getting, an English release is "Love for these Clothes of Desire" (2020), a visual novel, this year. Around the same time as the 3rd season starts airing funnily. While on Visual Novels getting English releases, there's also "Pirates of Disturbance" for "My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom" if that counts. There's "Full Metal Panic! Fight: Who Dares Wins" (2018) which was an okay SRPG. "Goblin Slayer" is getting an SRPG called "Another Adventurer: Nightmare Feast". "Overlord" had "Escape from Nazarick" (2022) which was a 2D action-platformer. Reviews are oddly mixed on it. "Re:Zero" also had a game, "The Prophecy of the Throne" (2021) but I don't know much of anything about it. Mostly a Visual Novel but has SRPG segments. "Mushoku Tensei" has an upcoming DRPG, "Quest of Memories", but I'm not really sure on this one. Oh, and if they count, there are tons of wacky crossover games, like "Super Robot Taisen". Huge mecha crossover SRPG series that's been ongoing since the 1990s. Their 30th anniversary game was "Super Robot Taisen 30" (2021). Most of the games are JP exclusive but a few have seen either offical English releases or had English text options. "Macross" is getting an in-universal crossover game called "Macross Shooting Insight". Seems like a shmup. Recently got announced to be delayed I believe. While on shmups, "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" had one as well, "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Burst Forth" (2022). Nothing too big but it's something I guess. I think that should be fine for now. I'm definitely forgetting a bunch but this should give a decent idea of what has been out there recently.

I want to say voting with your wallet only really works if the community is universal with their opinions. We as a community hated Jump Force and One Punch Man (the game) and voiced it as loud as possible. Some of the games now or at least from what i can tell, theres so many mixed opinions that people buy these games to see it for themselves even at risk of wasting money just to see if it's really bad as people say it is or if its just fun. Also you can turn to youtube retention for said anime games. People who don't play the game watch it so that also drives up interest and sales for the game. Voting with your wallet only does so much. We just have to collectively call out as loud as possible when a game is truly unbelievably terrible instead of what isnt our preference of game
The funny thing is that people (me) were saying this game was going to be a disappointment from the jump. I don't feel bad for people who were expecting more.
if a western publisher had the reigns of a anime ip license boy lemme tell you it would have been a lot better for example look at naruto: rise of ninja developed by ubisoft it was a absolute gem the problem nowadays is bandai namco owns most of the anime gaming ip rights not rented like most other studios do they literally own the rights thats why we didint see a naruto game developed other then cc2 and bandai over 15 years now because the own the rights witch is nuts

I’ll say it once and I’ll continue to say it. People say COD is the same game every year and then I look at these games. Every anime fighter not just this one is recycled, rushed, and flawed. At this point if it ain’t Sparking Zero, Fighterz, or something unique I just ignore them because it’s just the same with seemingly less effort every time.

I fw the clips before the intro plays. It's cool to get a preview of where the videos going and it snatches my attention immediately.
We deserve a whole lot better than this.
they are not making the series for non japanese

@@ektran4205That is a lame excuse for not fixing problems in your game
I get what you're trying to say but let's not get on the developers themselves. While they do make the game they can't magically give themselves more time to create the game if an executive doesn't give them that time. At the end of the day developers have little say in almost everything when it comes to the game and this is more seeing it in my eyes, why would someone who's job is to develop just purposely release such a unfinished product unless they had to.
ASW made DBFZ
Naruto and DBZ games (and by some extension one piece) have the luxury to have games that look/play good because by default they're literally one of the most popular series ever. That means those companies are able to take risks on budget.
Hell, My Hero Academia had TWO fighting games until they pivoted to battle royal. Arena fighters happen because they're safe especially on new IPs like JJK. If it works out they get an even more polished sequel or new genre (like the PS2 Naruto and dragon ball games)

Dragon ball is the only series I know that has experimented outside the typical“anime fighter” formula. Xenoverse, FighterZ, the Budokai series, etc…
Yep that start deserved a like smart man
I'm with you man, I've given up hope for anime games, and honestly I was disappointed seeing some people buying and hyping up Connections.
Kinda crazy how there's more active players on Storm 4 than there is on Connections. Just sad really...
This entire video my head was just drawing up an animation of Lotus speaking on this shit
I don't know why they go with Ultra Rumble. I just hope One justice 3 still in development

I just want another game like pokken with the 2d and 3d phases.
Game wasn't popular enough sadly. That game was fire though
It's been about a month and a half since the last Naruto video
On the topic of it being too little too late, I think for me it depends on whether or not there is a balance patch. If they took one look online they'd see all the busted stuff people are (rightfully) complaining about. If they patch even some of it, I'll know they're listening. If they don't touch any of it, I know they have no idea what's going on and that's really disappointing.
That Jjk rant was real u got my sub 😂
How come we don’t see 3D anime fighters? Tekken, virtua fighter, Dead or Alive.
For what I can tell the only 3D Fighter out right now is Tekken. Actually I want to see a anime themed Dead or Alive. With big open destructible stages and stage hazards
I’m thinking we have to many arena fighters to close together.
I think we are getting Naruto, Demon Slayer, and a future shonen jump game. There all the same genres for the same group of anime fans and would play loosely the same.
I find it SOOOOO fucking crazy how they just let a franchise like Jujutsu Kaisen get a game to that quality bruh.

Lotus uses a ton of JRPG music for his videos, I'd be shocked if he didn't know about Tales.
It's called Tales of Vs, it's a platform Fighter
I was watching Shikasclouds talking about Naruto Storm Connection. Connections is really bad. I wish CyberConnect 2 kept the storm generations mechanics
I think the biggest issues is that people nowadays complain way too damn much about any game to the point it feels like they don’t get enjoyment out of gaming in general.
You know the video is gonna be good when Lotus starts off ranting before the title card

Hell, you’ve prolly got a rage message from me lmao
Regardless, this game has titled me.
@Lotusasakura aw bruh u wasnt feeling burning blood,? for a one piece fighting game i thought they did pretty good capturing the characters essence
Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash… yah I ain’t jackin that shit bro 😭

???
I don't really understand this comment because graphics have nothing to do with any of my points in this video,

Sparking Zero could be a copy and paste of Raging Blast with an updated roster and I’d still be happy with it. That’s the BARE minimum
OH SHIT two discussion videos back to back! Its a great week already
Storm connections doesn’t release in my mind until I can send people a invite so they shouldn’t have even dropped it
Didnt buy the game because of the fact that they didnt have custom match making but not only that they half assed the boss rush mode with all the fights and the voice acting was trash plus the side story was only decent from what ive seen. me personally I rather play storm 4 where everything was done correctly then this half assed game I spoke with my wallet and even though I was hyped for this game im not gonna be blinded by nostolgia or my like for naruto or any anime game for that matter.
Yeah, there's something with anime fans where people just can't help themselves. Naruto sold basically the same game for what, 6 times?
Personally just my 2 cents but I bought it believing that it was basically generations/revolution the Naruto "storm" game in between the games. I believe that they did it in between 2/3 generations and 3/4 revolution so I think this is gonna be the between game before 4/5? 😅
Great video lotus. I agree with everything you said. Bandai and other anime game companies have been dragging us through the dirt for way too long.
Tbh I did the same thing I bought connections for 75 pound and dropped it pretty quick god damn I played it for a month around and said nah.
JJK looking like a PS3 arena fighter is nutty
The only game I have hope for is the HunterxHunter game because it's 8ing and 8ing hasn't really missed in a long time
Nope looks like shit
yea in general anime games need to care more and imo stop giving it to bandi devs they gotta go to a good team
Bandai is the publisher not the developer. It's first come first serve to who can get that permission to have the license
I just wish anime games did more than just arena fighters.

I guess it also depends on what you specifically mean by "anime games" but I'll try. Oh, and I'm refraining from mentioning gacha games.
Let's see, as far as I'm recalling:
The "Fate" series had "Fate/Samurai Remnant" (2023) not too long ago which was pretty well liked.
@@shadowmaksim not really a small percentage my hero has 2, naruto has like 6, opm has one, all of the dbz budoki games are arena fighters even xenoverses combat kinda is, demon slayer, one peice has a couple, the new jjk game has a 99% chance of being one, they are everywhere
Not having private match is the biggest durr moment I’ve seen CC2 needs to do better
I'm not gonna lie I genuinely think that the arena fighter genre is just trash that always sucks and/or fails. I wonder how these games would do as platform fighters.
They need to follow the fighterz formula not the low budget arena fighter bs
Its time to create our OWN games. Ive seen others starting to do this for anime games. Look up ninja legacies(which is still in development) there are many others but imagine a whole community of people coming together to help create the best anime games ever! Just my two cents 🤷🏾♂️
And yeah Sparking zero does look promising but i just cant get my hopes up anymore with these games 😂
It comes Jan 24th
Yeah anime games need to be better any new one that comes out now I just don’t get my hopes up as much as I would like to. I was so pissed when I saw the gameplay of cursed clash because I love jjk
I didn’t play this game in months also but I was thinking about heading back back on but again I didn’t really enjoy it like that
The funny thing is that people (me) were saying this game was going to be a disappointment from the jump. I don't feel bad for people who were expecting more.
I’ve been voting for my wallet since Road to Boruto. Got that for 20 bucks on Amazon. As soon as I saw connections I knew it was a skip.
When you are a Gamer just as much as you are a fan of Anime, this shit hits your soul DEEP
if a western publisher had the reigns of a anime ip license boy lemme tell you it would have been a lot better for example look at naruto: rise of ninja developed by ubisoft it was a absolute gem the problem nowadays is bandai namco owns most of the anime gaming ip rights not rented like most other studios do they literally own the rights thats why we didint see a naruto game developed other then cc2 and bandai over 15 years now because the own the rights witch is nuts
Great video Brutha I agree with you on all points about anime games and that JJK game does look cheesy and wack 😒 we gotta show these developers we are the game!
