  • Weston Kay runs the UA-cam channel Rose Anvil. He cuts open boots, shoes, and other leather goods to assess their quality and construction. He walks us through the process of slicing open a pair of Nike Dunks, a popular sneaker that can resell for three to four times the original price of $110.

Resellers have ruined the sneaker game ! In the mid 2000’s I could go to any sneaker store and buy any latest shoe without joining raffles or standing on a line for hours waiting to buy some sneakers ..

People who spend a fortune to buy sneakers from resellers are really dumb

I disagree. Of course you always pay have the price for the brand. But compared to no name shoes, it takes me at least twice, some times even three times the time to run a nike air force pair down.

Thanks for the insight. Not even with my run down nike air force ones ready for trash I ever came across the idea, to cute them in half!! The explaination about the leather plastic coat and the pointed surface are very intresting to me.
