I was a Dunks head early 2000s and used to get clowned for wearing them . Fast foward to 2020 and Dunks are some of the most coveted sneakers around lol. Funny how much style changes.

Some additional knowledge for everyone. Air Jordans have an encapsulated Air unit in the heel, hence Nike Air, where Nike Dunks do not have any air in the footbed. That loop on the back of Dunks is OG when they would loop laces through when they balled back in the day.

Thanks for making this video. I'm not a sneakerhead at all and just like the aesthetic of the nike sneakers. I know the dunks generally seem harder to get but tbh i think i like the jordans better. Think i'm going to try and grab the AJ 1 lows in a neutral colour.

@@DaRoachDog so i got a pair of AF1's but theyre a bit too wide for my foot. They also look really clunky on me because i'm a woman with big feet. They're super comfy but i just cant pull them off, i feel like i'm wearing orthopedic shoes whenever i've tried to wear them. So needless to say theyre listed on my poshmark lol
I've also kind of given up on scoring some dunks and jordans for now. I am on the hunt for some nice casual sneakers to wear with jeans but i dont feel like jumping through hoops to get shoes.

You can hang dunks from the back heel tab. It's useful if you have a stuffed ass backpack and need to bring an extra pair of shoes to the skatepark/basketball court

The premium Dunk hi models are great value for money. However the recent general release hi’s (vast grey, football grey, team red) are trash, very bad material and I would take any J1 high over them.
Dunks in general are not that great quality since the price point were like 110 or under 100. Anything from NIke lab is nice

I own 1s and dunks ... I know my opinion doesn’t matter but the dunks are more comfortable but if you want to break necks , get 1s
ur opinion does matter because it helps the person get more info and a better perspective of the shoe before buying them. People like you can save other people money or ensure their money is well spent.

2 years ago, i started finding dunks interesting and an alternative to the jordan 1s as i was just getting started to the sneaker game. 2 years ago, dunks were easily attainable, used or new it was always cheaper than jordans
but now? man i wish i bought my first dunks 2-3 years ago

The pull tab on the back of the dunks is for your jeans to rest on.

Some colors look better on dunks then the jordans. Like the kentucky and panda's as you show, my opinion those colors are better on the dunks.

can you explain why the older version of nike dunk high especially the ones that were released back in the 80s, are higher than the retros? the old dunks silhouette looks taller and slimer kinda like air jordan 1 or terminator...and one more question, does nike still releasing dunk with the OG silhouette? i used to wear triple white nike dunk high back in 09' 12'... love the content bro

Love air max 90, always have. I got some that’s reselling above 2k but I think that’s messed up to sell somebody something I paid 200 for
I like the overall design of the AJ1 better and the fact that every variation whether low or mid does not compete with the High in this model. The Dunk High doesn't compete with the Low, in my opinion, but in saying that I don't have anything against it.

The difference in the shape makes the J1 superior. Dunks seem to have a shorter toebox which makes them curl up at the front and crease heavily even after the first wear. I have 7yr old 1s that look newer than the Dunks I've only worn twice. I have 4 pair of Dunks and will never buy Dunks again.
Use cedar shoe trees. I use them in every pair of kicks from SB Dunks and Vans to dress shoes, boots, and so on.
All my dunks creased so hard in that one toebox area. If it was the whole shoe then cool, but its just that big fold on the toe box that is an eyesore when the rest of the shoe is not creasing.

DUNK all day long! And the most favourite colorway of mine, which sadly is impossible to find new nowadays, the Euro Champs Sweden. They also happen to be a nice take on the Ukrainian flag colours, which is where I'm proud to be from. Wore it for 5 years straight, back in the day, and they were holding on extremely well until I lost them while moving house (pretty much beaten up completely by then). The side view of the sole, the lines, the flaps - everything just screams at me compared to the J1s, which I've also had, but was never too passionate about.
The back loop if for your fingers when you put your shoes on so your hands don’t get irritated

I don’t know bout AJ1. But Dunks are very comfortable. Especially suede sb dunks have a great feel. They really hug your feet. If you have wide feet I would go half a size up.
