Beach Theme Random Rhythm Game Level 2: Half Note

Every rhythm in this video contains one or more half notes for students to practice reading or playing rhythms. See directions below for a suggested game or make up your own! The video does not contain any rhythm language since I know many music teachers use different syllables. Please let me know if you have suggestions or requests for future videos. Thanks for watching!
Directions for sample game:
1. Play video
2. Pause at random intervals, read the rhythm. If correct, the team/individual earns one point. If incorrect, the opposing team/individual has a chance to steal the point.
3. If you land on a “Bad Luck" or “Lose a Turn,” follow the directions on the slide then continue with the other team.
4. First team to 10 points is the winner!
This game is perfect as a fun way to review half notes. It can also be played in small groups, with a sub, or in centers. Save it or add it to your sub playlist for those unexpected absences!
