Make sure you are on a surface where if the head does fall out of your hand it doesn’t hit pavement but you basically just tap the butt end of the club against the ground. Gently. The vibration with loosen it up.
Plz correct me if i am wrong here Adding loft - higher trajectory, close face, more draw Reducing loft - lower trajectory, open face, more fade. If i want to lower trajectory and want draw, what can i do?
The click actually comes from the wrench. It is a torque wrench that indicates the specified torque has been reached with a click. The specified torque does vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer, so you may want use the brand of wrench that matches your club.
@@mikecautillo6360 - If it’s the actual PING wrench.. yes.. they do click. But MAKE SURE you use proper technique by having it square / well centered and deep vertical in the screw head.. or you’ll slip and damage one or both or those fitments (easily repaired but still:)

I'm so confused. I have a 9 degree set at standard, I'm hitting it really high and fades, so should I turn it to the big minus symbol to lower trajectory? Or turn it to big plus symbol to lower spin rate?
If you are looking to bring your ball flight down, the big minus lowers the loft which should help you achieve a lower trajectory. The big plus would add loft which may cause you to hit the ball higher.
T K ....your question has a lot of possible answers ,and you need to provide more information to accurately troubleshoot your situation. 1-does your ball start at the target and fade ? If yes , your shaft could just be to stiff , a more flexible shaft will release and close to straighten the fade out ,or move the setting to the big + to close the face and help eliminate the fade . 2-does your ball start left of the target and fade to the target ? If yes, your swing path is outside to in and adjusting the setting to a baby - ,will open the face and bring the ball flight down, but this will add a little extra fade . 3-does your ball start right of the target and fade further right ? If yes, your swing path is inside to out and adjusting the setting to the big + will close the face and help eliminate the fade . To optimize the launch angle and spin rate of the ball ,you must select the proper loft and shaft flex for your swing speed. Generally, golfers with slower swing speeds require more-lofted drivers and more-flexible shafts to achieve the proper launch conditions. Conversely, golfers with faster swing speeds generally require lower-lofted drivers and firmer shafts, so I would find a ping fitting centre and pay them to help you, check your swing path ,swing speed and get the correct shaft and have them adjust the settings for you . Cheers 🍻
Thanks for that info! If I intend to play a 9.5* head, is it better to get the 9* and loft up to 9.5* or get the 10.5* and loft down to 9.5*? I guess the only difference are the slight face angle and lie angle changes.
That's really a matter of personal preference. If you like the look of the face being slightly open at address, lofting the 10.5 down would probably be the best choice. But if you want the clubface to sit more square at address, the 9 might be the better choice.
I dont get it .This just spins the shaft cant you get the same effect by turning the shaft in your hands? like if you replace grips with no alignment marks on grips
You are correct. The face angle and body of the head are formed as one. The adjustment does not chance the angle of the loft to the head itself. The only thing it does rotate the shaft lol. Marketing at best.
David Bond they explain basically nothing here. My friend that is a club fitter told me that the plus setting will very slightly close the face to help induce the draw bias.
So is he saying that any adjustment that you make from standard is going to flatten the LIE ? And if that is the case then there's NO adjustment you can make to give it a more upright lie ?
Just bought a used G400 in good shape. Thanks for the video!
Great, I have the Ping G. You gave me some important information!
So the big plus (+) would also tend to keep from turning it over (fade bias), though not as much as the minus(-)?
Just bought a slightly used g400 that’s 12 degrees and I hit that thing high in the sky I’m thinking I gotta bring in down a full degree?
doesnt the face open/close when add/take away loft? i think adding loft closes face and visa versa? surprised master fitter didnt mention that?
So can you go upright or just flat . This is confusing . When you choose the big + as your setting dose the club go flat or upright?
Just flat. Same goes for the latest G410 Plus driver. It allows you to adjust loft for both neutral and flat lie angles only (not upright).
@@omegacon4 and the big plus, also makes it a flatter lie angle (fade bias), tho not as much as the minus?
How do you remove the head when it’s stuck?

When you tighten the head to the shaft, should there be a click to lock the shaft?
Yes. That's the torque of the screw.
@@marklags2396 Mine does not click, and I do not want to over tighten. Looks ok though.

Mike Cautillo if it isn’t you aren’t using a torque wrench and that head will eventually come loose.

What do I do if it’s gets stuck and I can’t adjust it!?
Buy a new dirver.
I think that he means to say the plus increases the lie angle and minus decreases the lie angle. That is what the Ping pro at my club says.
That is incorrect. The plus / minus correspond to LOFT angle changes. The lie angle changes on the G400 are minor compared to that of the G410 plus.

Very good explanation of the adjustments .Thank you .
I have a Ping driver and this explanation doesn't explain a thing.
What impact does changing the weight on the rear of the club have?
It can cut down a hook or slice

Does changing the loft/lie setting also change the face angle?
Yes, the face angle does change when you make an adjustment. Adding loft closes the face and reducing loft opens the face.

No. It changes the way the head sits in the adapter. Thus creating all the different settings and adjustments.
You are correct. The face angle and body of the head are formed as one. The adjustment does not chance the angle of the loft to the head itself. The only thing it does rotate the shaft lol. Marketing at best.
OK, I am a thicky,. On the zero setting I have a slight fade. Which way do I go to induce a slight draw
David Bond they explain basically nothing here. My friend that is a club fitter told me that the plus setting will very slightly close the face to help induce the draw bias.
Drew McCann he’s wrong. The higher you go in loft the more the face opens. It’s not one size fits all either. That’s why you get FITTED
