Viscount and Viscountess Hinchingbrooke 👑👑
This was so sweet! Seeing Julie welcome 12 Americans to her family’s beautiful, historic British home makes my heart smile!
How wI'll Julie react when it is revealed by putin they all are Russian operatives infiltrating the family to establish a cell. You already have high British connections nearby with the Digbys and thru Pamela The Churchills. You never know. I am concerned for the whole lot.
my goodness that lady had a lot of firsts at the dinner table. not sure what they are eating in the states but none the less a lot of firsts
@@greekre maybe she was vegitarian
How wonderful. This is the way to visit England and provide support for historical architecture. Julie and Luke your tenure will be a smashing success and you’ll leave Mapperton in very good shape for the next generation.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
You're positively glowing Julie! Congratulations to both of you on the success of your first grand tour!
Thank you so much!
Julie you need to have NBC TODAY SHOW cover your home at Christmas, with the faire , decorations, and your lovely home. I think that would open even more doors.
You provided them with an experience of a lifetime. Well done.
Mapperton is definitely a bucket list MUST!! Can absolutely tell everyone had a magical time!🎆
Fellow Yank here. As an avid genealogist, I so admire your dedication to keeping this beautiful estate and family memories alive. Kudos!!
Simply a success! I was smiling, ear to ear, watching everyone enjoy themselves. You really provided your guests with a unique experience they will never forget. Bravo!
Your family is really living the dream. You've done it right. If all families could have your mindset when it comes to preserving family and historical history whether it be grand or small the world would be a better place. I know you're proud and as well you should be. And what great examples for your children. I live in a small town in Montana USA and our county tries very hard to preserve history and not let the modern world in. We have tourist come to live a little in the wild west. And to see untouched land and a slower pace of life. It was the best thing we ever did for our kids to make sure they have grounding in history and community and family, something they'd never get in a more populated place. And that is I think very similar to your situation for your kids. All be it on much bigger scale
I am absolutely loving this. What I notice is the leaf in the dining room table now is all shiny and beautiful (the one Luke was rubbing black walnuts into) Also so many other places to see, so cool! I see places in Mapperton I was not aware of, like the carriage house. The whole event seems so perfectly scheduled for activities every day, and a great mixture of formal and casual but never "stuffy." It looks like new friendships were made and an unforgettable experience!
Alberta is sooo beautiful.. Just like her house..
Luke, Julie, chef, butler, everyone of Mapperton has captured my heart.. Piggies have grown..
What a wonderful time with all those Americans!
What a wonderful experience for everyone! You have found your calling!❤️
Yes! Thank you!
You gave them so many wonderful things to do and gave them unbelievable memories.
I would like to suggest that you add your lovely robe to your shop. It looks so warm and comfy!
Noticed immediately how you dropped your English twang as you called it. Amazing how Americans always are just that no matter how long away. Bravo
I've always noticed that people in England have messy bed-head hair, but never knew they actually stood in front of a mirror to make it looked sufficiently adorably mussed up! LOL! How cute! Awwww! And I have never known how to pronounce 'sommelier' correctly, so thank you! What a lot of work led up to this absolutely wonderful experience! I'd say all your work paid off and it was a raging success!
Im a bit concerned that Luke's hair is verging on 'Boris" style,no,don't go there Luke.
Loved it!!!! And the pigs, beavers where great the history🙀🙀🙀👏👏👏👍
I am 7 minutes into video but I have tears in my eyes. I would love to be there, do yoga, tour gardens and see the re-wilding progress! Thank you so much for making this wonderful video! (My great grandfather immigrated from Bath UK)
Thank you for sharing. I’m so happy that the Americans enjoyed the visit.😊
It looks like it went off without a hitch. There is nothing more wonderful than dinner solely illuminated by candlelight and fireplace. A very nice squadron of fellow Americans to be the initiates of what I hope becomes a long-established tradition of Anglo-American fellowship. Julie may surpass Great Granny Alberta in Correspondence with all these cheerful guests. A long lost art! Perhaps one day your Great grandkids will dedicate a room as a mini-library to you and Luke.
I love the elegant floral arrangements on the dining table... you clearly spared no expense on making a fabulous first impression.
?? All I saw were a few forgettable lavender twigs dumped in a cheap jelly jar.
I bet Luke's parents are just beaming with pride 😊❤
How wonderful. It must really be one of those memories which will for certain spark JOY, when thinking back at it.
❤️❤️❤️
There was an enormous amount of work behind this wonderful adventure for your American guests. The attention to detail was amazing. I loved the historic houses and gardens...especially your lovely little paradise. What a wonderful show you put on...including the friendly farm animals and the night time badger looking for another tree to have a chew at. Complimenti and best wishes from Italy. 😍😍😍An admiring ex-pat.
I'm so glad that your week of hosting went well! It looks like everyone, including you and Luke, enjoyed themselves. This is what life is all about. Well done!!
Thank you Julie and Luke for this inside tour of what your 12 American guests did. I loved it. Have you every thought of doing a raffle where we all can buy a raffle ticket.. the winner gets two rsvp’s to be your guests at an upcoming tour….. if you opened just one raffle to your over 140K subscribers.. as well as your special Patreons, depending on the numbers.. say a raffle ticket for $250 US money.. times who ever bought a ticket…just a thought…. 😊
✨❤️ Roberta must have been delighted!
So happy that your experience with American guests went so well. Only just started watching you and very impressed with what you are doing to promote Mapperton and preserve our British heritage. Julie you are doing an amazing job of being an American Viscountess.
Gosh everyone looked so happy, full of joy, having the time of their life!! So happy everyone had such a special time!!
How very splendid, wish this American's accent could've been heard, but sadly, that will never be possible. But thanks to your channel I can still enjoy..what a dinner menu...la!
Wow Julie and Luke. Thanks again for another great episode. Great to see what a great program you created. After so many hours of Maperton everything feels so close, and you so familiar. And that is magic, how we are now able to make these very direct intimate views into our worlds, with a telephone camera. So vivid and rich. No expensive camera equipment handled by a team of people, but a direct first person experience. And you are fantastic in making us feel welcome, we unknown friends from all over the world. I love it.
The cherry sauce for the duck breasts reminds me that it is almost the time of year for warm cherry sauce dribbled over the traditional Danish Christmas rice pudding, ris alamande (just have to make sure guests don't have nut allergies due the almonds). But here is to Old English Roast Beef! (of course cannot get that old tune out of one's head when eating it).
Julie , would love to stay at your beautiful place. Having grown up in Eastern Iowa, we could reminisce about living in the midwest and also talk about shared ancestors! I hope I can get there before too long.
Julie and her husband are blessed to get to live in such a nice home and live a fulfilling lifestyle with their visitors
Bravo! All your work paid off.
I'm so happy for Luke and you! Your guests enjoyed a fantastic week with you and I'm sure they hated to leave! Hugs!! I may not be able to watch this Live, but I will be thinking of all of you! Hugs everyone in our Mapperton family! Enjoy your Saturday and weekend 🎉❤!
Julie and Luke are awesome! Loved seeing the Earl and Countess with the guests!
Wonderful for Julie to have fellow Americans in your home with similar accents!
What a lovely tour you gave to everyone how fun to see all the things you’ve been creating and the history that you’re sharing. Wonderful.
Wow Mapperton's now on my bucket list, More Boston folk coming too the Mapp, love the lifestyle aside frm it's magnificent estate and gardens the food, the menu all fit my cravings, there's much to do, see, learn, so lovely Thanks to Julie & Luke🍀🇺🇸
Im looking at all of the people laying in the grass and my first thought was “oh my god, she’s killed them!” Lol. It looks like your guests had a wonderful time with so much history, good food, nature and interesting, interested hosts. Congratulations on such an impressive success!
oh how wonderful! and such lovely people. what a dream.
So now I need to find some Dutch/Australians to bring to Mapperton!
oh this sounds lovely...if only i could get someone else to do the next one with me! Julie, will you please consider an italy tour based somewhat around your sweet town of fivizano? Could be SO fun!
First class! You left absolutely nothing out! I love "tradition", with all it's meaning, gravity and substance! You checked all the boxes! Well done!
It must have been a magical visit for your guests! You and Luke are wonderful hosts. So happy it was such a success. Congratulations!!!
Well done to everyone at Mapperton.
Did everyone love the American Countess's receipies? Looks like everyone had the time of their lives!
Great itinerary. Also gave the Mapperton staff time to tidy up. Will put on my bucket list. Complement to Luke for the great film editing.
❤ Absolutely wonderful trip for visitors and thank you for sharing! 😊
I would love to stay at your magnificent home some time. I am American, but my husband is British. He attended Allhallows and knows Lyme Regis well.
They have created such a beautiful and inviting home. Julie is a hard worker; she demonstrates great attention to detail. I would love to visit someday. Bravo❤️
This is so sweet to see the success of the visit and the response of the guests to your loving home. Thank you so much for sharing. I so hope to visit there someday. My family comes from around London in 1861. Your videos are inspiring. I appreciate them so very much. Just to see the fruits of your work is such fun.
Happy guests are the best kind of guests!
What a perfect few days!! I’m smiling along with you and feeling the good will that was there. You were both such welcoming hosts! Be proud of yourselves! ❤❤❤
Looks like you did a splendid job from top to bottom. The take away itinerary was brilliant.
Many congratulations Julie and Luke. After all the very hard work and incredible detail in the preparation, the event was obviously a huge success in every sense. It was evident from the comments that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and will return home with a wonderful souvenir of the U.K. and in particular. Throughout the entire occasion your warm, hospitable welcome was so evident. I believe your guests will return to the U.S.A. with warm memories of the U.K. All the preparation, planning and extremely hard work has paid enormous dividends both in terms of Mapperton and the British Hospitality, which you so evinced in every way. Thank you so much for sharing such a special occasion. Michael.
That was lovely. I am glowing with inner warmth just from watching it. I do hope you get lots more American visitors in 2024. How could it fail when Julie is The Hostess with The Mostest. And Luke with subtle English charm. It seems to me that Mapperton House must have been abounding in positivity for a week.
I have read the book by Consuela who was married to the Duke of Marlborough back in the same era as Alberta, not her choice but her parents luckily later in life she got to marry someone she loved, she tells of her culture shock,as we would call it now,at how life was in England then. When I actually get to visit Mapperton I'll be on a day trip + fish n'chips in your cafe (which I bet are ace) and an ice cream. I really want to see those fab gardens at the height of summer.
I love it when Luke says how well she did on her presentation and she looks like a school girl who just got a compliment from the cutest boy. :-)
So pleased your first Grand Historic Tour was the success it was. Memorable for your guests and for you!
I am not surprised. You and Luke are so personable I'm not surprised that people had such a wonderful time.
Congratulations Julie and Luke, Bravo ! Seems like this was very successful ...so proud for all of you
What a beautiful experience for everyone ❤️ from Mexico
What a great thing you accomplished! Thank you for sharing with us. At the end, when julie speaks of all the American accents in the house, and her "bit of a twang," all I could think was, "You can take the girl out of Sugar Grove, but you can't take Sugar Grove out of the Viscountess!" Cheers, Julie & Luke, for all your hard work. Signed, an admirer of your efforts...an expat Genevan (YEA Kane County), living in Victoria, AUS.
I’d love to come but would have to save up. I saw the price. Would be amazing though. Looks like a wonderful experience for all involved 😊
Dearest Julie and Luke, this video was absolutely fabulous!! I’m so happy that you shared your American friends, coming to stay with your family, in luxury ❤❤ I only wish I had been one of them!! An AMAZING experience for all of them ❤ God’s Grace and Blessings to you and yours 💕🙏🙏. I’m from Sycamore, Illinois, not far from where you lived, in Illinois ❤
Ahhh to be welcomed by the British aristocracy as Americans!! 🎉
For some of us Americans- this is a dream come true!! Hoping one day to make it to Mapperton to meet you both and everyone there!!❤
This episode warmed my heart. Thank you … one can dream..
Julie congratulation for twelve guest in Mapperton catle.
I hope sometime I will be able to hear about the challenges Alberta faced finding an Aristocratic (per her mother’s wishes) to marry. Will there be a book? I would like one for sure!
Stay tuned!
Im looking forward to Julie's book.
I'm so glad all of you're American friends e joyed themselves. Hopefully they will, tell there friends and many more will come to maperton .

Wow, thank you!
Yay!!!! What a Success! Bravo!!!
Even a Fossil Hunt! My dream vacation! :)
Julie this was lovely. You & Luke are so special. I don’t know why I have tears, but I do. I think it’s because it’s nice to see the love , respect & affection you have for each other & your endless dedication & commitment to keeping your project’s afloat.
Thank you so much!
Goodness this would have been a delightful week of visiting at your magnificent Mapperton. My eye and mind wanders to the black tie shebang where an simple elegant flower arrangement on the dining table was notable by its absence. Perhaps a couple of smaller bowls of nasturtiums and flower heads, aromatic mint surrounds floating as a green bedding? What a pig I am to even mention this.
It looks like a modern Downton Abby...how fun
thank you for including us in this awesome event!!
This looks like the best experience!! You all thought of so many things to make their stay perfect and special!! Your work delving into Alberta and her life sounds so interesting! You guys did did an amazing job with everything…
As a Tudor enthusiast, it’s wonder to know the laughter is still heard a lot through your halls, perhaps I too will visit… it would be a dream…
This made me smile, all of your hard work came through ….well done all!❤❤
What wonderful hosts you both are. And what a great staff to make sure all the many meals were just perfect. We can see what a lot of work all your plans and outings were. Good on you.
A delightful experience for everyone! The video is magic and everyone seemed to enjoy every minute! BRAVO!, ❤
Julie and Lucas nice video regarding the guest.
What a great success! I’m not American (Australian) and am a fair bit younger than this cohort, but it all looked so interesting and enticing!!!
Well done, Julie and Luke. What a wonderful experience you gave these 12 people. Everyone, including me, a Canadian, would love the experience. You are making your ancestors very proud. Love your UA-cam postings.
Congrats on what sounds like an amazing experience.
Congratulations to both of you Julie and Luke! I'm sure your ancestors were smiling down on your great hospitality and creating such a wonderful experience for your guests!
Congratulations on the successful tour!
Thank you so much 😀
Aaaw! Totes adorbs. What a wonderful time for all! 🖤
So happy for both of you - all of your hard work paid off! Wonderful! Yes, I think your dreams are coming true.- keep going!! Great summary and video!
Thank you so much!!
Is there a recipe book of Alberta's ? It would make a great gift, for Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Day, etc. I am anticipating, if one has not been compiled. If it has, I'll buy it for Christmas.
Stay tuned!
So wonderful... happy face.😊 pure love.
You must get the photograph of all the guests in the sitting room painted! It is epic! I took a screenshot I’ll send it to you somehow. I’m hoping this tour will be my birthday present!!
Thanks for sharing their experience! What a treat!
