Luke and Julie. Thank you so much for taking the time out to show us the whole of Mapperton. It is so stunning! As a long time viewer, I enjoyed so much having a virtual tour of your home and estate. I watch your videos every week on all your channels and they are a great part of my day. The gardens are absolutely beautiful! I love the Countess every time she is on your channel. I may never make it to England from my home in America but if I ever do, Mapperton will be my first stop! How fortunate you are to have so much family history on this fantastically exquisite estate. So much history and preservation!

Wonderful!! The house is gorgeous and the gardens took my breath away. My mum was a British war bride from Manchester; she went "home" numerous times and took my sister and me to visit. We toured lots and spent time with her family as well; we stayed at some lovely homes while there. Thank you for opening to let us see your estate!

Birds of Paradise are all over here in Southern California, I love seeing them. Being from Chicago, the Birds of Paradise are grown in pots over there; they’d never survive the winter if they’re planted in the ground. Mapperton has beautiful gardens. Thank you for the tour!❤Your Chicago girl!

The finished bathrooms and bedrooms are just beautiful and beautifully appointed. The new mattresses, as Luke pointed out, look so inviting!! Each room has the most beautiful views and vistas. This tour really showed Mapperton off stunningly. Luke, your Mum and Steve were so entertaining to watch walking around. Your Mum has such vast knowledge of not only furniture, but flowers in the garden. I love your estate and all of the land, it is truly magical!

The Earl who sold Hinchingbrook was very forward thinking! It probably saved the family finacialy! He clearly had enough to maintain Mapperton and bring a lot of fine things from the castle to the new home. He was fortunate to have found a buyer to make this happen.

Luke and Julie, have you ever considered hosting a "Detectorval?" It's a festival of metal detectorists who would camp out over a weekend and detect in designated fields. There's a large one in England each year. With all the history on Mapperton, even going back to the iron age, and all the farming, surely wonderful things can be found.

The garden ramble was informative and beautiful and the relationship with Steve and the Countess is divine. Finally, the rewilding self-tour and travels over the estate are amazing and make it a bucket list option in life. Here's hoping I can get to the UK in this lifetime. Thank you for sharing and making the estate so accessible. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I enjoyed commentary on items saved from the attic & Luke’s comments on family photos & furniture pieces. It’s great even though they are so much furniture in such a great house there are memories in some pieces. The tour of garden w/Luke’s mother & Luke’s land tour were beautiful. What amazing scenery!

Could you try out the Miyawaki Method of woodland creation that will both keep the deer off and kick start the whole regeneration. You could have a good size plot with volunteers planting it all out over a weekend. Would be a fun and worthy thing to do.

I love watching your videos, and they always give me ideas. Today I was particularly interested in the hiking path of Luke's, and once upon a time I would have loved to walk it, but after 3 heart attacks I'm not able to anymore, at least not without benches to rest on along the way. And that got me thinking, because I'd still love to go on the path, and I'd happily rent (at a decent price, say 30-45 pounds) something slow and easy like a golf cart to traverse the area. I know they're expensive to invest in, but the electric ones could be charged on a solar charger, and it might be a nice idea eventually for those of us that are a little mobility challenged or families with small children. Just a thought, respectfully submitted, and commenting for the algo.

Your deer fences need to be higher because the deer that I know of here in Pennsylvania can leap over a 4 - 5 foot fence .

I'm originally from Pennsylvania and have seen deer run crossways thru grape vineyards, leaping over each row! Some rows are close to 6 feet!

If you cut the ivy at the base the upper parts should die and loosen their grip. After they die off a bit you can remove the it with a little less damage to the structure.

You should do round tree fences. Deer don't understand them and you get more area with wire you have.

Would you consider establishing e-bikes hires with a trail where you went Luke and maybe extending it further into the estate If you use the big chunky tyre e-bikes which are suitable for muddy terrains the tours could almost run all year 😊. They’re so popular now and if the e-bikes can be hired at mapperton that would bring many people to the estate for the experience. 🚴🚴‍♀️🚴🏿‍♂️🚲

When it comes to Alberta’s letters, how did all of her letters come into her possession? Was it customary for people to ask for their letters later in life for archiving purposes?
