This is one of my favorite episodes: Rachel's naivety, Ross' kindness, the old early 90s vibes, Chandler trying to break up with Janice, seriously, watching this episode makes me very joyful
I have the same feeling than you, i guess because it pictures a totally different kind of relationships between people, just before mobile phones and internet appear ! 90’s was quite the end of a world, imo far better in many ways than now !
Even though it's not real. It's nice that he helps her rather than make fun of her or abandon her.
You don't see stuff like that nowadays.

As a girl also who lacks common sense, I admired that about Ross.

Ross is looking really innocent in this scene 😊😊😙😙
She's bran new to the big world and he was an excellent person to help.

I forgot how much of a sweet girl Rachel used to be, remember in s9 when a new guy trying to get her job and she tried to punch him lol
When did that happened?
Gavin. The new guy trying to steal her job at bloomingdale. See season 9
She became better at standing up for herself, not a worse person.
She tried to punch him because she offended her baby.
@samara awe agree if someone offended my child it’s different.
1:48 i love that part 🤣 the way he changes his voice
The Uberweiss and judgement call always get me 😂😂😂
jen aniston looks stunning in that shirt and her hair like that
0:35 the way rachel says 'what' is soooo cute
How much I hate bullies like that: they see a newcomer, and start bossing him/her around, making up "rules". I liked it how Ross, and later Rachel, stood up to her.
Love this scene.
Yeah will always be a classic
I forget how adorable they were together.
This is my favorite episode.

It’s new it’s German it’s extra I’m laughing so hard lol!
The one moment we see Ross as a tough man. Then later seasons happens and we see him as a wimp
@Kevin Black 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 well said
And woe to anyone who dares to eat Ross' leftover Thanksgiving sandwich with the moist-maker. Double woe to those who throw this sandwich away.

David is a really good actor 🖒
That was funny Rachel putting her knickers near Ross 😆
To his credit, he did look away.
I'm a laundry virgin too 😕
Always spring for the fabric softener. 😉
When this episode aired, I never really understood why the audience didn't laugh at Ross's line "don't worry, I'll use the gentle cycle"....maybe too embarrassing? You can even see the expression on his face after he said the line and the audience's lack of response to it
@@autumnwishes8364 They responded at 2:32.
And, I totally understood it
@@autumnwishes8364 I think that made his response “Okay” so much funnier, because it was so awkward. And it’s Ross so it was an easy laugh
Am I the only one who knows what I should do when I do laundry but just don't do it and shove everything into one machine? Yes? Ok.
My ol lady 😂😂😂😂😂
Ha ha, are all your whites blue or pink now? ;)
Same, yet I've never had anything shrink or bleed 🤔🤔 its all a lie
@@piperadams2571 samee only once but and it turned my shirt pink, but everything was blue black or white🤷🏽😂
That's what color absorbing wipes are for. Then you can mix everything to your heart's content 👌
Ross is so sweet here.
Ross was the perfect guy for her, sure he got a bit more dramatic later on but then so did she. They was meant for eachother though
Fun fact : The last line of Ross was not scripted. The actor David just cracked this joke and the director decided to keep it😅

Here after they revealed they had a crush for each other
Same lol
it was a publicity stunt
@@AD-oy8nm Did you know them at daycare? Don't judge.
@@AD-oy8nm yeah publicity stunt sure. They've been revealing crushes and feelings on eachother for years, dating way back to the early 90's. Infact even before the show started and none of them had names for themselves, the writer even said ross and rachel wasn't meant to be the main romantic couple through the show but cause of their incredible "magical" chemistry and connection, they rewrote the whole thing to make it so those two had the romantic storyline through to the end. Or how about on Oprah in 2003 when she broke down over David and said they had "alot of history". Yeah sure sounds like a publicity stunt that doesn't it
@@HouseOfMitchell the office couple had incredible chemistry on set. doesn't mean it translates off. the timing of them announcing this was right before their hbo friends documentary. suspect if you ask me.
My favorite scene 😂😂😂❤
"i can't even send back soup"
gen z in a nutshell
Oh the tension!
This is soooo cute 💕💕💕💕💕
Ross is 🥺
Ross was always helping Rachel and he encouraged her to conquer the world, just like in this episode. They always loved each other. The problem is Ross&Rachel haters are constantly nitpicking and bring up just negative situations between them, ignoring all the good stuff and in fact, the good stuff was there all the time, through the years.
I'm so sick and tired of dumb ppl writing that Ross and Rachel were 'toxic'. Stop forcing your irrelevant opinion on others. No, they weren't. "Toxic" is thrown around too easily, nowadays.
Time and time again I see these words used to describe entire human beings. Nuanced, complex, flawed individuals. I don’t think it’s fair to paint people with such broad brushes... and it’s even less fair to seek validation regarding these judgments by posting biased, one-sided descriptions of situations and people on the internet. Life is complicated.
Ross and Rachel was a passionate and emotional relationship, full of ups and downs, but a great love, no doubt. They just both tried to move on after they broke up, and they never succeeded because they had always loved each other. And in fact, they always did everything for each other - Ross took care of Emily at Rachel's request so that Rachel could go to a party with Joshua, and Rachel, although she flew to Ross' wedding with the intention of confessing her love, stopped herself and wished him congratulations - and in fact, it was like that, throughout the entire show - they did everything for each other. They always loved each other, but they had to mature to be in this relationship. Hence, they weren't toxic, they were the most realistic couple on the show. Ross always took care of Rachel and helped her to make it on her own: the one with the poker, the one with the laundry, and many, many others.
The problems started when Rachel didn't have time for their relationship and Ross was jealous of Mark - and the context, Ross's experiences are very important here. Remember Carol cheated on Ross - he had trauma and when Mark appeared in Rachel's life, Ross feared Mark would take Rachel away from him, his insecurities which had roots in his first marriage and divorce, resurfaced. It's so obvious! And it's human behavior! Ross gets upset, they have a fight and Ross gets drunk. And the fact that he gets drunk is the main point here. He was drunk and Chloe took advantage of him - he never wanted to sleep with her, he was drunk and when we are drunk we lose all control, we are not ourselves. And Ross begged for forgiveness immediately, on his knees, even if Rachel did break up with him before he slept with Chloe- fact. Rachel literally said to Monica the next morning, she and Ross broke up - she used these words herself in the context of ending the relationship, period. She also asked Ross the next day if she can once again be his girlfriend - so why would she do that if she didn't break up with Ross? Besides, later on the show, it turned out that Ross was right about Mark - Mark asked Rachel out and was there the second Ross left, Mark was sneaky and manipulative.
Honestly, some people who don't like them, are unable to analyze complex emotions and nuances, only think in a black and white manner and judge quickly, and most of them are a new generation, which is very 'judgy'. Because, first of all, a lot of the situations here were just for fun, laughter, it is a 90's sitcom, and it seems like many people don't get it. All the mistakes all the way, which both of them made, were in this story to serve a very specific purpose - mistakes were the next steps in maturing and learning what true love really is, rediscovering each other after they had both found the right way in life. In the story of Ross and Rachel, we have just seen the natural process of learning what love is in practice, in the story of two, emotional young lovers. This is why they were miles better than Mondler - SorryNotSorry! Monica and Chandler were just so so perfect, they were simply unrealistic.
Not to mention, for me Perry and Cox didn't have even 5% of Jen and David chemistry - and it's so visible in these scenes. I love, for example, the moment during their first sex, when Rachel tells Ross ''oh honey, that's ok'' thinking that he sexually ''finished'' early, but turns out, she just rolled over a juice box 😆 and then, they both smile and laugh so close to each other, holding each other. I love this particular, short moment because the genuine love and happiness on Jen's and David's faces are just magic. So natural, you can actually see how much they both enjoyed filming this scene and how relaxed and comfortable they are around each other! Just natural, amazing chemistry and now we know why - they were both in love with each other, in real life! I just love them!
I personally am an R&R fan as well. I agree with everything you said. I'm a Monica and Chandler fan but for a very different reason. They were 2 friends that fell in love knew each others history because they were friends when it was going on. I actually think that helps them. Where as Ross and Rachel had a history before they met as adults.
@@schewitt1977 Mondler was written better. Roschel was kept separated for silly reasons so the show could go on
@@nachiketsachin8269 I think that Chandler and Monica were a bit unrealistic in some ways considering their past but I understand your point.

Yeah. 😂
This would have been the perfect time for him to ask her out especially after the kiss.
Oh I'm so glad we don't have to separate laundry into colors anymore.
I'm sorry what?
@@dexter5653 many washing machines nowadays have a "mixed" setting where you can wash different fabrics and colors at once because they usually wash at a regular temp (like 30 celsius). still it requires for the whites to be separated from the colors and you can't wash all fabrics like silk or other sensitive cloth with cotton and other more sturdy materials.
@@sunnyM42 If the amazing new washing machines of today still require the whites to be separated from the colours then how is that remotely different let alone a rebuttal to @Dexter's comment?
@@harryricochet8134Because you don't have to separate lights, darks and colours. The only exception is white garments for obvious reasons.

SMH, as an American, most of the idiots who brag about their guns won't or can't really use them. I always suggest everyone get martial arts training, especially girls and women. Some idiot with a gun can be disarmed without much trouble.
@@kbanghart Not everyone can use a gun. Not everyone can do martial arts. We need more men to respect women, and society to punish those who violate them. We shouldn't ask victims to do the work.
