Yes the Odyssey is a great family car. I really enjoyed it all. The stylish looks and the space inside to the smooth drive I did.

    Another question!
Do the 3rd row seats split and indepedently fold flat into the floor (like the carnival)?

Sorry but that’s a Vti-L, which are the 7 seater version. Not the Vti 8 seater

Hey, it would be great if you could answer the following.
    1. Where are the child anchor points for each seat in each row?
    2. Do both the hinged and sliding door reach to the bottom of the car? What is their ground clearance when fully open?
    3. Why are Honda still using timing belts, not timing chains?
    4. Is Variable Cylinder Management a feature in engines of this generation and can it be turned off?
    5. How easy is access to the third row? What about if there is a booster or baby seat in the left rear passenger side?
    6. What are safety features protect third row occupants from behind? Curtain airbags only protect the side.
    7. do the curtain airbags provide both head and torso protection? Or ar their airbags in the side of the rear passenger seats too?
    8. Which models get power sliding doors and on which side if not both?
    9. Where is the spare wheel located?
    10. Where can I find an online manual for the Australian vehicle?

      HiJohnsonburgandypants
Here is a bit of info on the anchor points and things with a baby seat for you references. (Yes it is a couple of years newer than the one i looked at but they are the same.
I will see how I go with the other questions for you.

I don't think the doors reach right at the bottom of the car so the clearence would still be the same either closed of opened.
Third row is pretty easy to access.

@@agautomotive Thanks mate I reckon if you know the answers to those questions you'll be ahead of every Odyssey dealer in the country! Critical questions for a family car but never covered in reviews.

      2011+ Honda Odyssey (USDM) - 2011-2017 models are equipped with VCM-2 (3-, 4-, and 6-cylinder operation) - 2018+ models are equipped with VCM-3 (3- and 6-cylinder operation).

Why does Honda still use timing belts?
The setup used in most Honda models, the timing belt was introduced in the mid-1960s as a much quieter alternative to a timing chain. Belts also use tension pulleys that aren't dependent on engine oil levels to stay in place.
