- Many students think that remembering and using complicated words will improve their IELTS scores. Many websites and UA-cam videos say that you should learn a list of complex words and use them to boost your vocabulary score. This is wrong.

I think one of the most important advantages of online platforms for me is your channel. I'm wondering how these brilliant ideas shaped in your mind.
I can confidently state that you are one of the top ten most resourceful English teachers on the web.
Your explanations and methods are practical.

Absolutely...

The IELTS people use very good passages for reading section. So after finishing my reading section (i had 15 min in hand), I picked 5 difficult words from these passages. And started to scribble them on scratch paper.
In my writing section i smartly used these words, and viola i scored 7.5 in writing with overall score 8.
I am not saying that this is the best way, but even good english users can have thought block under time pressure.
But Chris knows the best
tks bro
Cool trick! But my problem is that I barely finished reading section on time....
Hi, how could u finish reading much faster, share ur ideas
Was it a computer based test? You don't get a scratch paper in the paper based test.

I used to watch other popular videos for the last 4 months. Now I realize I wasted my entire time. You are an amazing teacher.
Brilliant. Simply brilliant. I have been telling TOEFL, IELTS and SAT students this for close to two decades and it is spot on.
Thanks! Truly appreciate comments like that from other teachers.
I used to live in Saigon myself.
@@Ieltsadvantage Thanks! the problem here is that there are hundreds of schools and centres that teach students a lot of bad habits including so-called ''advanced' vocabulary and advice that an examiner or experienced IELTS trainer would never give. De-progamming students and getting them onto natural, context based learning is one of the first steps to IELTS success.
Yeah, the institution to which I have enrolled in order to furnish my ielts skills tells me the same and they just make infuriate me very much.
Congratulations! 500 K subscribers. Thank you very much for every video. It helps me a lot.

8:09 Hi Chris, reading the news is a great method to enrich the vocabulary, thanks. I use a similar way: I binge-watch topic-specific documentaries (short or long) so that I could improve listening and speaking at the same time. One stone could kill multiple birds.

It is true but in my locality people are only willing to spend time on watching UA-cam and spending time on memorising difficult words which can magically enhance their scores but are not willing to learn from the articles or the books because they find them time consuming. After doing all these things or spending enormous amount of money on taking the classes, they think that teacher have a magical drink or something like that with which they can give exams in 15 days or less. Like is this a joke?
I love your methodologies and just wanted to know that how many band scores Task 1 and task 2 consists each.
I will be very thankful to you for this. Keep going team.

Welcome
Had my speaking test today, I tried to be relax but on getting to the 3rd section the examiner kept asking me questions before I finish he cuts me off with another.. I am writing tomorrow, please wish me luck guys.
Hi there, part 3 must take 4-5 minutes. The examiner will ask you 4-8 different questions. If the examiner thinks they will not have time to ask you all the questions, they will interrupt you. This does not affect your score. We wish you the best of luck in the rest of your test.
Sir what is differance between many student and many students are both correct?
