Dr. Dray the Retinol in the box that you had in your hands in this video, is the one I buy in bulk and apply it to my heels at night. It works to moisten my dry cracked heels like no other foot cream I have used. I simply slather it on, put on pair of sockettes and go to bed. Within 3 or 4 days, my heels look fantastic again. It works!!! ✅
Nice to know, thanks for sharing. I use it on my face and definitely see results.
@@blkbrn1952 how long have you been using and how long did it take to see results? Thanks for sharing!!
@@kjohnsonshelton0923 the texture of my skin was the next day, it felt so smooth. I feel that I can see some difference in small eye wrinkles but that took a few weeks.
Which one is it? I have problems with Crack heels
@@patriciaguerra892 my great aunt had that really bad. It was a progress but I would use one those foot things to file the calluses down and kept putting Vaseline every night and leave the socks and I got her feet lookin good. Idk if anything could be better at Vaseline that's what I use at end summer mine start to get hard from flip flops all year and I just quit wearing flip flops in winter and put my Vaseline every night and it's back looking good
The shaving armpit advice you give at 8:40 has changed my world! At 39 yrs old, I now know what I’ve been doing wrong this whole time. My arm pits look so clean shaven now! No more razor burns. This is why I never miss a video because even if I think the video won’t apply to me I get these precious gems of advice!!
What about dark spots on the face what you recommend?
For a 59 years old
You’re talking about not lifting your arm to shave??
@@carmenamador2327 IPL by a licensed professional. Took 10 years off my chest! I've done my hands as well.
@CarmenAmador Wear an oil free sunscreen on your face every time you go outside. I use Neutrogena ‘Age Face Shield’. It’s oil free and blends perfect.y under makeup like ab moisturizer. I never step out without it and the dark spots on my face are gone!
@@og6920 love it!! what’s a ball park of what that cost you??
For years and years I’ve used cheap Suave shampoo for total hair, face, body wash because I hated the icky feeling soap left on my skin. I use Nivea (heavy duty) lotion as a moisturizer. I’m almost 80, and just getting into the retinal and vitamin C thingy, and I’m just not very good at it. Have yet to use a sunblock, but it’s always on my shopping list. Tends to get bumped for something more important. I’m a widow on SS, so that’s real life. I’m enjoying this Dollar Tree video. Thank you for not being a dermatologist snob. Editing this post to mention Suave does not have the methyl-whatis ingredient. Some fragrance, but doesn’t seem to bother me.
She does a great job not judging the dollar 1.25 store
So many derm docs on social media but you are the OG and the best. I live for Dr Dre’s dollar tree finds ❤️
Hahahaha “Where’s Waldo?” I so remember that. Also, Eye Spy. Yes, if I stand there and look long enough, stuff jumps out at me.
I totally agree with you about "female" scents. A lot of times they are toooo strong and I'm not wild about flowery or fruity scents. The men's scents are usually better!
Yes! I have been wearing men’s deodorant scents since puberty. I love the clean scent of men’s items.
Even the vaseline lotion in the mens scent is so fresh
@@jenniferw1595 I wear the men's deodorant scents too.
🤢 I use a coconut scented one
I agree when I was kid I use to always that ck brand or the knock off called U for him or her it said on bottle. I kinda want to buy that for old times now lol but I love the smell of cologne and even with candles I like the manly cologne smells or earthy smell or I also love just clean linen too is my favorite.
I have been using the retinol serum from DT on my 75 year-old skin and I like it. I even put it on my arms (for only $1.25, I can afford to splash it there, too. Even my DIL noticed that my arms are looking better.
Well, I’m going to start adding it to my arms. I have been using it back of hands.
👍👍👍
I might put a few drops in my lotion. Thanks for the idea. It does seem to work and not too many toxins which I stay away from.
"...Don't come cryin' to me when you get razor burn!" Dr. Dray - 2022
I love that this video had a bit more of a silly humorous vibe!! I love this side of you!!!
Thank you sooo much for reviewing Dollar Tree skin care products. I’ve always been leery of them but once reviewed, I feel confident buying those you have recommended!!!! Love you and appreciate you sharing your wealth of knowledge!!!! A loyal and grateful fan!!!😊
Bought that vitamin C serum today from dollar tree, and used it after washing and toning my face, and WOW! I was blown away at how bright my skin looked within just a few minutes. I will be going back to buy several more bottles before they stop selling it!
Vitamin C doesn't brighten instantly-wonder what else it could have been!
Which one? I thought she featured 2 of them no ?
Great to know. Ty, I picked up 3 bottles today. Will try it in the morning. I usually use L'Oreal 10% vitamin C.
@@MilkyMinded There's mica in the formula
@@erinmadarieta2089 ah! Makes perfect sense 🤍
Idk but Dr Dre's song/music references and associations make me cackle! Like i would never think a Hurricane Chris "Ay bae bay" would come out of her but here we are lmao. And i still can't get her "Now that we found love" sing along in the previous DT installment out of my head, stays there rent free. Iconic! She's giving cultured, she giving unsheltered and she went to the inner city public school in all AP classes, but still a true homegirl lol.
I love that you take us on these trips. Thanks to you and Cassandra Bankson I am much more conscious about reading the freakin' label and being more aware of the things I put on my skin. WTF have I been doing to myself my whole life? lol.
Happy Friday Dr Dray! Hope you have a nice weekend ahead of you!
Always love going shopping with you.😍
Happy Friday!
Did you perhaps mean Fri-Dray?.
Thanks for not just showing us the products but how to analyze it.
I'm 63 and I've decided no more makeup except maybe a little eyeliner. My skin is basically pretty good. So I'll be keeping it nice by using the retinol you showed, masks etc. Nothing complicated. If it ain't broke don't fix it😂😂😂😂.
Same age here...very little to no makeup...no wrinkles, no marionette lines, no crows feet, smooth cheeks...didn't sunbathe, never smoked and rarely have an alcoholic drink...good genes too
Agree with your Where’s Waldo analogy. I feel like I space out at $1.25 Tree! Where’s Waldo was popular when my kids were little, in the 80’s!
There is a Global Beauty Hyaluronic Acid night cream that I love. I can totally see a difference! I use that, let it soak in, and then use a normal moisturizer after that.
Dr Dray is amazing! Helpful advice and comedy all in one lol
Senior commenters: more commentary please, I find it so helpful to hear what works and to have a realistic perspective on my next stage (I'm 52)!
I shop at dollar stores, and never would have thought there was legit skincare there. TY!
Your president made it the $1.25 tree.
For years I've found good skin care products at dollar stores.

I use their retinol eye cream and I love it
The Pond's tube you showed really gets my mascara off! It's super gentle, too.
Does it burn the eyes? I've always thought it would burn the eyes if you accidently get it in them.

God bless you for taking out the time and explaining the different products❤
I truly appreciate the proper use of male and female! 🗣 thank you!!!
I bought the Beauty Guru under eye serum a while ago at Dollar Tree. I did see that it does have essential oil, but luckily, it doesn't bother my eyes as I put it on before bed. It does smell delicious, like a coffee shop since it has Coffee CO2. ☕
Dr. Dray just wanted to thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on your channel it really is such a great resource. You provide such great advice, with year of clinical expertise to back it up. Glad to see the growth of your channel cause I was here pretty early on. Thank you for always providing a great resource, I also love that you also try to recommend things that are pretty affordable and perfect for us that are allergy and sensitivity prone. Thank again and hope you have a great day.
I love makeup wipes in the morning to get the sleep gunk off of my eyes and breakup the oil on my nose. The coolness helps wake me up, too.
I've been using Dollar Tree hyaluronic and retinol serums for YEARS. no clue if they work but my skin is beautiful
Newest bucket list item: Go shopping with Dr. Dray. That would be just too fun....and sooooo informative! You're awesome.
We use nivia in uk. I use it on my mush. My skin gets really dry from the wind. I was in the UK military and my face always got red from the cold wind and was always dry. Hate shaving it's always a bit sore. Got lots of tips from you.Thank you x
I actually use that Vitamin C serum & it's very good. I usually buy 6 at a time because I can't always find it when I'm almost out. I've also used the Dermasil Body creams/lotions & the Diabetic lotion. I do avoid the preservative you mention all the time. I have very sensitive skin, so when I find a product that doesn't cause problems I keep a list & change it up every 6 mos or so. Your content is always very helpful ✨️
How is the Diabetic lotion? What is the advantage of using it. Thank You.
@@karenshaffer7803 Diabetic lotions contain ingredients (like Urea)that soften AND moisturize Diabetic skin which is prone to hardening as well as excessive dryness (poor circulation). I'm not Diabetic, but the lotion makes my skin super smooth, hydrates & sloughs off dead skin cells. It's less expensive than the Gold Bond formula & works just as well IMO.
great video u look gorgeous thanks for all the help
Lol you always crack me up! "Jill Scott I am not!" 🤣🤣
Thank you for the informative and entertaining videos!
That bikini shave gel is the truth! I stock up whenever I go. The best shaving product ive ever used! Just wish it came with more product.
in the army we have to wear camo face paint a lot for training exercises and there’s obviously no sinks in the woods so the make up wipes are great
Wipes are also useful to remove deodorant before a mammogram.
@Timesup5150: Heartfelt thanks for your service to our beloved country! God bless you! ❤️🇺🇲❤️
I found Garnier Ombrelle 45 sunscreen at my DT in Georgia! I didn't even know this was sold in the US!
Huge Dollar Tree fan, and also a new subscriber! Loved the singing and your sense of humor! Thank you so much!
Currently binge watching all of Dr. Dray's videos. I love this one. Thanks doc:-)
Love the video! Ty for going over more DT products vs the name brands that DT sells. Helps a lot for us DT shoppers.

Fun video! Laughing here. I was raised very poor, no books for children around home, and I read anything I could find including things like shampoo bottles. ....in the bathroom, so I got a lot of practice reading, "Methyl-chloro-iso-thia-zoli-none." I'm still not sure what it is without looking it up, but it's stuck in my brain in syllables too. It's filed in my brain between Czecho-slo-vakia and anti-dis-establish-ment-arian-ism and adjacent to, "Hum-diddle-diddle-diddle-hum-diddle-i." No idea where that last one comes from. lol!
Part of the song "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" ...Julie Andrews sang it as Mary Poppins in the movie:)

You are one of my fav people to "shop with"... Your vids are informative and fun!
Thank you Dr. Dray for this video. If only my face skin looked as good as yours! Seriously, I learned a lot from this video because I am a sucker for skin care products.
Thanks Dr. Dray for saying the facial wipes are good for a pre-wash. Everyone I know does not do the real wash afterwards. I usually buy the more expensive products for my skin, but we are on a tight budget now and so glad the Vit C serum is ok.
Rita - I use coconut oil that I buy from Sam's for around $9 for 56oz. I fill a plastic container w/lid, in the bathroom & use on face to remove makeup, even waterproof mascara (don't use that type very often). Brush teeth, then remove w/tp or tissue. It may take a couple of rounds w/mascara; then saturate a cotton pad w/witch hazel to remove the residue. Then, more coconut oil to soften skin & not just my face - hands, fingers, nails, feet, legs, arms, etc. It has a very faint smell, but not the fake, overly sweet coconut oil that's found in many "tropical" products, & eventually soaks into skin. It has many minerals that are actually good for our body - inside & out - not like Vaseline or any petroleum products, as they create a moisture barrier, as it does not penetrated into the skin deep enough to be effective. Plus! Petroleum is as the name suggests - it is a by-product of petroleum!!! It's probably good for a skin wound that needs a product that keeps the area moist & acts as a water barrier, but other than that - nope!!!
Enjoy your day!!
@@donnabacon4681 Thank you…I just bought some…will try💕
YESSSSSS this is my favorite store you shop at!! But you had me worried for a second there, I thought you were gonna tell us to steer clear of the vitamin c serum, but yay it's actually decent and somewhat Dr. Dray approved! Which is great because I use it all the time and really like it 😳😂 same with the clay mask and that fragrance free baby wash, I actually use it to wash my face! It's gentle yet effective. But wow yeah, I can spend a whole day in that store, it's definitely like one big "I Spy" book in there ✌😂💓 Anyways, enjoy your weekend girl!!
Happy you talked about the Nuvel body lotion. I’ve been using it for a while now and I think it’s great! You can’t beat that price!
Do you happen to know if the Nuvel lotion is safe to use on the face? I don't really have any problems with allergies, but I've been having some problems with dry patches which are causing acne.
Olay used to have a really strong sweet scent. I’m glad they have no perfume options now.
Just wanted to share a sensitivity my son has. Took us from 4-5.5 years old to figure it out. Colours! Yes. But Annatto!! Annatto gives me the worst rash that starts small on the chin and day 2 moves up and to face and then on his body if not avoided. Annatto may be a natural colour (from a seed) but it is brutal for my boy, who is now 9.
Just thought I would share as many people don't know about it and it could be a culprit:)
Love your page!
This is why I can never bring myself to bring another human being into this earth. It would kill me seeing my own son/daughter go thru hell like that.
As always, I enjoyed your video. You look for things to avoid (or good ingredients) as I do, and save me from getting out my magnifying glasses to read labels. FYI-I've had good luck with Retinol serum (Creme de Skin Creations) that comes in a little bottle with syringe.

I agree ! I tend to prefer the scents aimed at men ! So glad you're constantly educating us, by the way. So helpful ! Your comments run thru my head as I shop. Thank you!
I love love love the Multi-Vitamin Moisturizer. I like to try out different moisturizers and constantly find myself very disappointed, especially with products targeted to men that seem to dry out very quickly. I end up going back to that one because it is for sure a top contender. As far as value goes, it's #1.

That'sy fav, I also, buy the serum, so moisturizing and gives my face a glow.
I love the Dermasil lotion. It's so moisturizing for dry skin. I've been using it for years hardley any fragrance. The aloe one has the most fragrance.
Thank you for video! Super informative
This year I've started getting a rash and hives on my upper back, shoulders and arms from the sun.
Ahhh the DT vids are always my fave.
I love dollar tree facialserums but have yet to see the vitamin c one, I like the rose hip one and the vitamins serum which has A, C and E if I’m not mistaken. Also Johnson baby lotion reformulated and has taken out the red dyes out the baby lotion and replaced the mineral oil with coconut oil.
I'm allergic to rose hips oil.
DT serums are amazing and a little-known secret. Whenever I go in, I buy the Vitamin C in bulk. They also have fantastic retinol and hyaluronic acid serums.
What is the shelf life of Vit C? I thought it was very short and not to buy in bulk. Does it come in a dark bottle? That helps prolong the shelf life.
@@cathyincolorado1432 Yes it comes in the dark amber colored bottle.Vitamin C can lose some efficacy when the bottle is open. Put the cap back.on ASAP. I use this brand also and have had good results. You can order in bulk online.

I once worked in a community residence for the mentally ill and we had a client with OCD and she like to bath for hours and she was using palmolive. I remember seeing bottles in her room and asking her about it. She said the commercial says it gets stuff clean and I said to her dishes, it gets dishes clean. When you mentioned don't bath with dish detergent I thought of her.
Poor baby...she didn't understand! I hope she stopped using it when you pointed that out.

Great video! The max block is the older packaging of the sunscreen. Yes the sun Basics product is identical. I've been using the max block for years and now my store is getting in only Sun basics. It's a coconut fragrance, I'm sensitive to fragrance and it doesn't bother me with headaches or irritation thankfully. I can't use it on my face but I use it on my body. The rest of the family can use it on face and body both with no irritation and doesn't increase acne. Such a great price for an effective product
I agree!! Love the scent and the product works great!!
I bought the Max Block on a roadtrip. I love the way it smells, but I'm afraid to use it on my face.
Okay but the Cerave Diabetic Body Wash is SO FREAKIN GOOD (I don't have diabetes lol). Main ingredient is Urea. Same with Cetaphils new rough and bumpy lotion.
Urea is great, and watch for Glycolic Acid or Salicylic acid (SA); that's the key ingredient for rough, bumpy, flaky skin, and is the star among the pricey brands marketed for Keratosis Pilaris (you know how the back of your arms or legs can get?) and Psoriasis. You can buy SA in a tube marked "Psoriasis Cream" at the $ Tree near the first aid items. I rub some of that in, and follow up with my more luxurious lotions!
Very informative! I prefer the scents targeted towards males as well in my body products. I use Mysore sandalwood soap which has natural anticeptic properties and smells amaaaazing, plus you can use it everywhere, even hair. Now I'm hungry! Again, super informative, thanks a bunch!!
I can't use sandal wood because I'm allergic to it. :(
