Rudy I may be biased but it seems as thou they should have given you a pass on a couple of those items considering that you lost your original partner in this challenge. It almost was like You and Janelle were being punished because she had skills they didn’t no she had. It worked out for the better because no matter what else happened. There is not a doubt in anybody’s mind that Janelle is your Ride or Die👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿.

Rudy, honesty and openness are priceless virtues. The competition itself was a big honor. Ultimate Adventure is certainly amazing, but in the end having the rig to enjoy with Janelle for years to come and all of these experiences are things you’ll never forget, and can build on for a long time. We keep watching and rooting for you and hope to visit sometime. All the best!!!

I gotta say, when you first started this project, I thought “wow! Somebody actually wants to see what can be done with a Ram Charger” now that it’s been completed and ran through the paces: Holy Crap! I’m tempted to get rid of my ZJ for one! I haven’t seen any of the vids on how it ran (I will wait for your vids) but I now want a similar set up! Thanks for doing a full frame vehicle vs unibody would be a lot easier to build in my opinion. Though I’d miss my ZJ, I’d definitely love to have a Ram Charger.

Sounds like you'd have to start with a $1,500 vehicle or have axles laying around from day one: what were you supposed to nickle and dime out (maybe paint, carpet, sounddead would be the $1,000)
[EDIT: saw comment that all items had to be priced fair market value -- so, no axles, or no coil over, etc]

Rudy's mention of the NP205 brought to mind how sad it was that Chrysler's New Process was bought by Magna who closed it down in 2012. Doubly sad that being the best didn't guarantee the company would survive past their 124th year in business. Nice to see that others bought the equipment though, are continuing to support the products and they are still among the best regardless of what brand 4X4 you find them in. Interesting that they got their start making hardened rawhide gears for trolleys.
Budgets are an imaginary line drawn in the sand. Yesterday I went to pick up what use to be $5 worth of nuts and bolts and a few $3 rattle cans of spray paint. $65 later I had the nuts, bolts and paint. Oh well, there goes the budget....
    Best!

If it has the type ignition that has the ballast resistor (1/2" X 3" white ceramic with 2 plugins) usually on the firewall for the coil then you best carry a couple extra in the glove box like most Mopar owners did back then. They went bad quite often and you would lose spark to the plugs. All they did was reduce the voltage down to 7-8 volts to the coil. You can test them real quick by just hooking the 2 plugins together. They will run that way for a while before the coil gets hot and breaks down, maybe long enough to get you back to civilization. I really like your blending of the blue and purple and you did well maintaining a pretty straight blend line. I have painted for 30+ years and in some jobs I still have trouble staying straight. Some jobs I would darken the shadow areas down in body rolls and shadow 2-3 paint gun widths from the rockers up, a full coat, then a lighter one and the 3rd one just a mist to make the car look lower to the ground. I just added a few drops of black to a little (not all) bit of whatever color the base coat was. Or even shadow the edges of SS type stripes. Some small panels you had to use an airbrush. Too bad it got dented already.
