So for the bidet, you just transfer over to it after you've turned the water on and it'll do it's thing for you. Some people use their hands, or have some soap to go along with it, and treat it like a mini bath time for your nether regions, otherwise make sure you have something proper to dry off with afterwards.

More on the bidet…. You sit facing the faucets and can fill the basin with water. Then using your hands and perhaps a cloth , clean your bum or lady parts. Our family in Slovenia always uses it to clean their feet when coming in from the vineyard or garden and before getting in bed. It is not like the type recently on the market here in US-it will NOT spray water upwards or dry.

This is a lovely trip down memory lane for us, in 2019 we drove a camper van from Italy to the UK and stopped at a few spa's along the way! Thank you for sharing this happy video ☺
So glad to see you two back in Europe. Regarding starting a fire, you can see another way to start one. Somersinalaska on UA-cam, you can see that they have fires going all year long. The put the wood (in split logs) into the fire place and then they use a handheld propane torch to start their fires. No kindling or fire starter needed. Now I know that you couldn't take that on an airplane, it might be useful when you get your RV out on the road. Thanks for taking us with you on the road.

Nothing better than an Aperol spritz! As a Brit I never had one until I was visiting Lake Garda, got mistaken for a German (understandable enough), then noticed what they were drinking, decided to try one. Absolutely brilliant!

Great vlog👍🤗.. And thanks for showing electric vehicles are totally impracticable for long haul vacations/travel. The point of a vacation is to de-stress.. Not increase your stress levels constantly panicking about if you will get somewhere before the battery is dead or to the next charge station on time😭.

🙂 this way sounds like she's a lesbian but being from Mars is not referring to women from venus and men from Mars. The saying "essere un marziano" i.e. being from Mars dates way before the book "womens are from Venus... etc", as you say "essere un Marziano" means be from another planet and applies to people who are very different, unique, strange, don't communicate with people, and in general don't fit the social codes of the community where they live.

Yeah, sit in a bar in Italy ordering drinks and from about 5pm they often bring out modest snacky (complementary) food.
Definitely one of our favorite things about Italy! Delicious (free) food is the way to our hearts 😊

Is it weird that we're somewhat relieved to know that "range anxiety" is a common thing? We thought we were just unnecessarily stressing, but I guess it's something every EV driver has to deal with. 😅 We're definitely glad we made it up too!

Bidets: 2 uses - hover (Eric ya the wrong way round...) fill it with warm water and use a flannel after doing business on the next door toilet to clean your bottom or wash your naughty bits. Second use... after cleaning buy a bag of ice fill with cold water add the ice and keep your beer chilled for the whole stay. Can you tell I live in the UK - yeah you can!
As always, thanks for sharing some of the challenges and realities when traveling. Having to worry about finding the next working charging station would put some added stress to the adventure.
Eric & Allison. Think I've learned from your experience that transition to electric vehicles will be challenging. I mean, we all I think have experienced running out of gas and still being able to find a station to fill gallon container. What do you do when you are unable to find nearby charging station. I'm fine with a couple minutes wait to fill tank, but minimum 30 minutes for quick charge.
My dad was from this area. So nice to see.

The Fireplace is Amazing
This part of Italy is such a unique place. Such dope history! South Tyrol has a population whose majority speaks GERMAN because they used to be part of Austria. Italian is only spoken by a small minority... even though it's in ITALY lol
A goodly number of our ancestors on both sides of the family are from this area. We are Lorenz's the others are Lorenzo's 😎
I love how this seems to be blowing your mind a little, but it's actually quite common in Europe. For example Finnish-speaking areas in Sweden, Romani speakers are common in eastern Europe, and the Benelux-countries all have large German and French speaking populations.
@@erwinhun the part that is so surprising is that they're, for the most part, NOT bilingual. While many of the other populations you mentioned are. They speak their native language along with the national language. Most people in South Tyrol are monolingual German speakers with Italian citizenship, and little to no knowledge of standard Italian.
I am Italian and I have house in sud Tyrol. Things have changed along the years and new generations are all bilingual
It has been part of Italy for over 100 years and the area has bilingual Italian/German speakers. This is common in areas that were fought over and lost.

Ah - the mountains in Italy are beautiful - just a wonderful place to stay for a night or two - and I love the way you describe your experience with the electric van and how frank you are with the problems with it - yes, the infrastructure is not ready yet - not entirely - don't think you can drive an electric vehicle and not face some challenges - but it's the same challenges facing folks driving gas powered internal combustion engines in the early 1900s - they found plenty of forage for a horse or ox, but couldn't find someone who had gas, or petrol or kerosene for the engine - but they persisted - and it will get better -

Hey guys, actually you should use the bidet in the opposite way. You should put some water with soaps in and then wash your self. You should basically seat in the same way as you seat on the WC ☺️

I love your channel! My Air-Force buddies and I went all over Europe in the mid 1980's while stationed at Ramstein Air Base (Landstuhl, Germany -- western side of Germany). We would sign up for the 3 day Bus Tours when we had enough money!! An AIC (2 striper) didn't make a who;e lot of money back then! We did a three country tour and visited Northern Italy for about 4 hours!!!

So on a study abroad trip to Spain, I sprained my ankle and used the bidet in the hotel to ice it down, filled it up with ice, small amount of cold water and would just sit on the toilet next to it for like 15 minutes at a time (and then would wrap it back up)
