Anthony Scott, thank you for your question. This bench could work, but it will all depend on checking leg adjustment height and length to make sure the frame will clear your tub wall and the length of the carriage works in your bathroom space. Check out other styles here www.eaglehealth.com/collections/swivel-sliding-transfer-benches there is one with an extra long carriage and some with the option of long legs Here is a link to teak bath seats for garden tubs www.teakworks4u.com/products/teak-bathtub-bench Here is another ADA garden tub seat www.accessabledesigns.com/product/garden-tub-bench-sh-421/ Hope this was helpful. My husband is checking into one of these. I have a plastic one it sets in the tub. It’s really difficult for me getting in and out of that one. I am hoping one of these side in ones will be a lot easier for me.
Thanks for your comment, Joan. If you are interested in this, don’t forget to follow the link below the video and use the promo code AEC10 for the discount that is good through the end of this month. Hope you find what you need to make things easier. ✌🏻❤️AECorner
The water runs down the legs sitting on the floor and all over the floor. Plan to mop every time you use one. I fell the first time because I did not know the water flowed off the pipes onto the legs of the bench. I do not have feeling in my feet so I did not feel that I was standing on a wet floor. I tried the cut shower curtain but water runs down. Still leaks onto the floor so plan on mopping every time you use it.
Donna, sorry to hear this. We have a video on how to cut a curtain to try and keep as much water off the floor as possible. It would need to be cute in a rectangle instead of the triangle shown in the video, so that piece could hang down in between the carriage. We also recommend rolling up a towel and placing it on the floor right next to the side of the tub, making sure it is out of the way of your feet. Hope this helps. ✌🏻❤️😊 AECorner.com The Best Way to Keep Water Off of the Floor When Using a Bathtub Bench with a Shower Curtain ua-cam.com/video/K1xMmXhdbOg/v-deo.html
Wonderful video! I've been researching various sliding chairs and this one seems to fit all my needs. One dimension they don't give is the height from floor to crossbar under the seat. Most are standard 18.5" and they do offer extension legs in sets of 4. We have a walk-in shower with 4" variance from bathroom to shower floor. We want to keep the seat level so thinking we need the bathroom legs set higher than shower legs. It wasn't clear in the video shower segment if there was a variance or if the chair was slanted down. I'm reaching out to Eagle Health as well, but covering all bases. Do you have the dimension of floor to crossbar? Thanks!
Hi LJOP, have you check their website for the dimensions? Here is the page for the transfer bench featured in our video: www.eaglehealth.com/collections/bestsellers/products/77663-swivel-sliding-transfer-bench-with-replaceable-cut-out-regular In the dimension photo the clearance was 18.5 inches. Does this help? ✌️❤️ AECorner
I would like one of these myself instead of the regular transfer bench but I don't have any mobility issues. But which one would the elderly rather have? I like the sliding action but do the elderly and mobility restriction patients prefer sliding also?
Jay Are, thank you for your question. Everyone’s situation, of course, will be different. Cost is usually a consideration as well. The majority of the tub benches we see in homes are the standard ones, usually seeing the ones that slide with caregivers who are caring for someone who is very limited in their ability to assist by sliding themselves over. Hope this was helpful. ✌🏻❤️ AECorner.com
suresh lall, you will need to use the link we posted yesterday to purchase from Canada. Here it is again: kimobilitycanada.ca/product-category/eagle-health-supplies/ Hope this helps! ✌🏻❤️ AECorner.com
Hi Suresh Lall, I’ve sent an email to the manufacturer regarding online sales to Canada. I know they sell it on Amazon as well but I went their website and they are running a 10% promotional discount right now so that might save you some money if you were able to purchase it directly from the manufacturer. They have several different lengths for the tub transfer bench and they vary in price. So, it might depend on your need and bathroom space. I will get back to you with your answer when I hear back from eaglehealth.com ✌️❤️ AECorner.com
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately for that situation it would not work because the whole unit can be moved backwards but the seat itself only pivots and slides side to side on the unit. Keep in mind the seat does pivot 360 degrees so maybe that might help depending on your situation. They also have a pivoting shower chair. Hope this helps ✌️❤️AECorner
Maybe consider this product: www.amazon.com/dp/B000VYK87U/?tag=AECorner-20 Or www.amazon.com/dp/B004G7NPJQ/?tag=AECorner-20 Start with these products. Make sure you check your shower measurements vs the product measurements along with the return policy.

I wonder how this transfer bench would work with a garden tub, they’re made a little different.Or what is a better one for the garden tub?
