Mustang never stood a chance. The M2 hp rating is what it makes to the wheels. At the crank it’s making well over 500 horsepower easily. Based on the dynos on the M2 even if you gave it only 10% drive train loss it still puts it over 500 hp.

M2’s are known to dyno around 450 HP to the wheels, which would mean at least 500 HP at the flywheel. Unlike the new mustang GT which dynos around 420 HP to the wheels. Also this M2 is obviously a stick. You can see the driver using his right arm to shift. @3:40 when he opens the M2’s door you can see it’s a stick shift.

Blaha blahh blahh take like a man mustang got walked 😂
@@thatr34monster49you can literally see every time he shifts the mustang loses so much space moron open your eyes and quit being ignorant
That wasn't close at all.
the mustang looks horrible. Better off getting the previous gen.
I don't see what sam see but i see at least a 3 car gap thats huge sounds somewhat mustang bias but thats no where near a car gap on the roll races
I am waiting for the Mustang fans to make excuses
🥶🥶🥶
That guy with the m2 I think they have a tuned s4. You should definitely do some videos with that car seems super dope!
That mustang needs a 4.09 diff gear to have a chance, or FI. and that will be my next mod! Gearing is everything!supension also helps, you can see the shifts on the mustang, lol. Thanks Sam!
I love mustangs and I also love BMWs. With that being said I don’t think people are giving the mustang enough credit. A base 5.0 is around 40-43k and a base m2 is around 63-65k. The fact there is a 20k difference and mustang is close is pretty impressive in my book.
Throw the Supra in that mix so we can see how it compares to the Mustang and the S58 in the new M2
That race already been done by Hagerty.
@@hpickettz34 good call
I wonder how the 10spd would've done
The 8 speed auto in the m2 is way better matched with that twin turbo six. Results would have been even worse for the Mustang.
LOL @ thinking the Dark Horse would beat a G87 M2! They're not even close in a straight line.
I beat mustangs in my stock 2022 m340i😂😂😂
I wonder what the elevation is where they're testing. Might have to do with the difference in power as NA will have slight power loss vs a boosted car
Mine put down 462whp. Did fbo, pi on E and jumped to 780whp 35lbs boost. Stock turbos.
@ damn that’s crazy. I have a 2025 M2 ordered. It just hit quality control so just waiting for that before it’s shipped. I got Portimao blue metallic with a 6MT. Can’t wait, I’ve always been a mustang guy but these new mustangs are so close in price to the M2 I felt like I can’t justify the $6k extra for an overall better car.
I believe this could’ve been set up better. The mustang is a base without a pp. pp has a much better rear end gear for pick up. This is clearly a short rear end meant more for highway driving. Should’ve had a pp mustang to make this a fairer fight
Not trying to downplay Sam's driving ability, but I'm curious if an automatic Mustang would do any better against the manual BMW.
Most definitely it would. Don’t think it would be enough to overtake the M2 but it would definitely tighten the gap. Manuals are slow.
Germany beat USA
i have a stock m340i and i beat mustangs gt all time
Love it 💕
Uff da that shifting...
Before even watching the video I knew bmw would win
Everytime the mustang shift it looks like it's money shifting 😂
Just my two cents. In the beginning I wouldve placed the specs above the respective cars instead of flipped.
