I own this wheel since last week and i really like it. I'm obsessed with GT3s, so this is perfect for my style of sim racing. For this price point, its pretty incredible. I would say this is the first in a new gen of Thrustmaster wheels - better qualitaty overall, more solid, finally magnetic shifters.
Ooo.. glad to here.. in uk hard get hold of. On amazon. Paying import tax.. guess im gunna have to. Cant see it being any less in a week when black friday starts...
Got this a couple of weeks ago and I really do like it. It's definitely a step in the right direction for thrustmaster. I bet we'll see a bundle with this rim and the T818 soon enough.
Thanks for the review. Very informative as always. This wheel or the SF1000 exclusively for the T818? I am worried about the later's flex in the qr adapter.
That sf1000 is 300$ more. I’ve heard nothing but bad reviews but apparently for 600$ Canadian for a replica formula wheel is a good price. I wouldn’t buy it but I did buy this gt3 wheel and I love it. No regrets
Best Thrustmaster wheel I own and tried. Currently I have 5 of them and I ain't using any of the others anymore on my T818. I might use the R383 sparco once in a while but 98% of the time I will be using the Ferrari rim
Got it 1week ago driving every day since the first day was ok another wheel after a week i was like WOW it so comfortable to drive with this wheel even after longer sessions alot of buttons which you can programm and the most i like are the shifters pretty comfortable and u never miss a shift again this wheel for me is a 10/10
$250 (PH₱14,000) for a officially licensed Ferrari 488 GT3 replica, while the recently announced EVO Racing wheel costs $300 PH₱17,000)... I would probably consider buying the EVO Racing wheel for $200. But then, I already had a stock T-GT II wheel if I wanted more buttons/encoders. I also have a Sparco 383 Rally wheel priced at $280 (PH₱15,900) but I bought it at $216 (PH₱12,200) at a local retail shop.
If the Ferrari license is important for you, what about the 599XX Alcantara wheel? The Ferrari GT3 wheel is more impressive as a replica, but it isn't bad. I whish it had the two yellow buttons because I could put the indicators there in non-racing games :-D
Mate, I bought the Logitech G Pro wheel on your recommendation, and you were right it’s a great wheel, thx u for the recommendation. However it’s been over a year and nothing has been added to the ecosystem. With your community presence can you call them out for more information regarding their roadmap regarding addons. Any help getting information would be appreciated, keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for the follow up, and I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the Logitech. As far as my influence in getting more wheels added to the ecosystem, I’m not sure what I can offer. I know that far more popular UA-camrs have tried to get the message through to them about diversifying their wheel offerings, but to no avail. My guess is that the corporate plan within Logitech is to treat the G Pro in a similar manner to the enormously popular G29. One wheel is good for all. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. They left themselves an out by making the wheel a separate piece from the base, but I doubt they want to mess with the formula of the G PRO’s highly successful predecessors.
There is no PS5 compatability at the moment with the T818, I'm sure I saw something from TM saying it will come, but no timescale was given unfortunatly
This one for sure. The Sf1000 has a fatal design flaw in the shifters. They start double shifting/missed shifting after a few hours of use, and you have to remove the paddles and screw them on again. It's for casual racers and absolutely not worth what you pay for it.
For the led I believe you press a couple buttons to get into the light settings and you use the dials to adjust brightness and between gt3 and f1 lights
Not sure why you say the lights aren’t usable. You say when would you use the full course caution lights ? Well in f1 I play in leagues and we have full course cautions and in iracing when the yellow comes out not just full course cautions, it goes off. For a cheaper option wheel, you are very negative on this product. It’s affordable and you dump on it. 10 out of 10 wheel 0/10 review
You heard it here first, guys. Sometime before 2015, Ferrari engineers time-traveled to 2023, stole the Moza KS wheel style, then implemented it in their 488 GT3 design.

4 on amazon right now, soon to be 3!@@Andybarney555
I plan to use this wheel for gt3 and probably Super Formula in iRacing. Use the TX Leather wheel for MX5 and Rally or drift stuff
hmm.
do you play in ACC?
upper led bar isn't working.
It is a bug to fix?
Those traction control switches in the top left and right look like they’ve come off the flight stick of a fighter jet.
F-15, SF15-T… same same
Probably since Thrustmaster also makes joysticks.. they just went through the parts bin and used it in this wheel.
They're identical to the switches in the real car. @@KayoMichiels

Good thing thats ACC is on consoles because its the most realistic for the button mapping
I've been looking and asking everywhere information about ps5 compatability with a dd base from thrustmaster and nothing 😒

Thanks mate hopefully soon 👍
Idk if I should go with this wheel or the sf1000 for f1

Ah, interesting. Thank you for the info. Would be great to see TM integrate this function into the software as well.
I really wish fanatec make mercedes gt3 wheel, that one with small center plate

Got to be at least 2 years too loate for this rim... every sim moves onto the 296 now...😢
But that doesent really matter, does it? I can confirm its pretty awesome using this wheel with a 296 in ACC
Ferrari is using the same wheel on 296 also
seems like the just copy the style from the moza KS wheel
You heard it here first, guys. Sometime before 2015, Ferrari engineers time-traveled to 2023, stole the Moza KS wheel style, then implemented it in their 488 GT3 design.
lol… @nether6143 he obviously doesn’t follow racing
😂
