This is 4/11/2023 and this tutorial still works! when you export LOL2GLTF it will only export one file (GLB) this will still work when exported into Blender. Massive thanks man and thank you to the people that made these tools!

@@notarevy there was a few, apparently you can import the files into photoshop of the character models then export into blender or maya for 3D presentation
@@notarevy sorry i didnt answer your question i replied as you were asking what tools. i cant remember what videos. just character tutorials. im quite in tune with the arts so for me its just the software i need to learn or the basic process

I am quite intune with arts but i am foreign to digital ones like thr softwares we are using in modeling but i found some tutorial videos like this one. If anyone has problems with rendering images / viewport in blender make sure: Render engine is set to Cycles and increase Clip End on camera object. I also deleted existing camera object and added a new one (it fixed weird model glitching when camera was moved)

for some reason the lol2gtlf.exe file just wont open on my desktop, any idea why?

Awesooome! Dude I'm starting to get addicted to ripping 3D models from games and this is a potential goldmine. Can't wait to extract my favorite characters and mess with'em.

@@mucahit9596 It's good! I ripped the zoe model and posed it around and such. I had to fix some of the weird texturing it had, such as the hair being some sort of strange, inside-out texture. I think it's because when I flipped the normals, the hair normals were already fine, so I had to go in and revert them all. Strand by strand, lol. Or more like tuft by tuft. I didn't make anything too noteworthy, but it's definitely fun messing with a model that's industry standard, even if it is meant for a smaller scale. Still very fun!

I convert like video but there is no .glTF file, it only has .bin and .png file what did i do wrong?

How do i hide unwanted objects? Such as if zyras plants showed up in blender untop of the zyra model, how do i hide/move the plant to just see zyra?
Works fine for me. The only problem I had was that TFT models' faces overlap in the blender since it has many faces.

I just realized the convert button in lol2gltf is on the bottom! for some reason my screen doesnt show it, probably larger than my 1366x768 resolution.

This is awesome! I stoped using obsidian and lol2dae for about a year ago and just found this video which is really helpfull with the new models and blender 2.9. However I don't like the default material used. And the mesh has some weird properties that won't show the texture unless I plug the images into emision, do you know hot to fix this?

I try to convert the files in lol2gltf to my desktop but when I convert it none of the files are in the folder, it works with different skins and champions but not the veigar base, is there a fix for this?
if you get a lot of random files instead of the folders in obsidian, close your league client
it is possible to extract and use the effects of skills, such as Nasus's "E"
Hey guys. did someone try this tools to extract particle systems for Unity ?
The Particles in League of Legendes are mainly Images. Probably not easy to implement them into Unity.
When you try to extract the champion files it says it's successful but it does nothing.

I know this is an older video, but does anyone happen to know how to export vaulted skins like the DRX skins? Or can you only do the ones that are active in the shop?

Any advice for how to extract a form of Kayn? All 3 models for the forms are put on top of each other under the .skn files
GlTF doesn't work for widescreen. :D Or at least the menu is deeper than 768... no way to resize the window. Nice.
I don’t know why the model files in your league library go all the way to Z, because mine only goes to Thresh
what about with champion's weapon, I cant add its to LoLgif, and animation until too
by the way, when i attempt to do this, the model's shape is always the champion's weapon (Lux's staff, Aphelios's gun, etc.) what should I do?

I'm trying to export fiddlesticks, but I can't find his Lantern, Tongue, or Demon_Arm (L or R) files in his .wad. Would they be... in other champions .wad somewhere ;-;
are skin weights exported as well with the character ????

Obsidian's current version doesn't even parse the data anymore, I'm stuck piecing the character up piece by piece, looking at every goddamn picture to find the base materials.
Nope, this ain't easy at all. They now want you to use this damn hashtable system to, as far as I can tell, parse through the data. But why the fuck did we need to do this to begin with when everything seemed to be working fine several versions ago? I'm even using the same version this guy is using and I have to go through a whole fucking library, and to top it all off when I do try to convert, it doesn't do a DAMN thing!
Update: Forget what I said about 'it now being disorganized' because I now see that Zyra's files are so very organized while riot LAZILY threw Diana's files in with no organization whatsoever! Forgive the pun but unironically it's like night and day.

"...\Riot Games\League of Legends\Game\DATA\FINAL\Maps\Shipping\Map22.wad.client" then go on "assets\characters" Little Legends/Tactician start with pet. The Akana Featherknight, for example, is just a skin of the Pengu Featherknight. The Skins are just Numbered and don't have Names to them. I recomend extracting all Skin variations of the Little Legend/Tactician that you want and locking at the Texture of each Skin to determine wich is the right one.
@@Ohle thank you for the reply! I was wondering, I did end up finding the file however for example dangos newest skins have multiple skins inside the same skn. Any ideas how to get that cleaned up?

Yep certainly looking at doing this, just need to finish my large format 3d printer firstly :) Might be worth looking into some tools that can convert a 3d model into papercraft to get started, especially if you don't have a 3d printer :)

Yo dude I have a question maybe you can try it out and see what i mean... if I convert Dawnbringer Riven (Skin 16) the texture is pretty messed up. I know it is the right texture because of the colours but it is just pure chaos... can you help me? Would be really nice.

I exported Yuumi, which worked, BUT her hair spikes on the back are always visible and I can't get rid of them
I managed to do it very easily with blender
Select your model, go to edit mode, and press P (-> splitting meshes)
Select material and you're good to go

you need to launch the game and click "play" then it will download the in-game models

This works for a lot of champions but doesn't work for kayn idk why
When i export the model as an STL for 3d printing the model shows it's "true polygons" (i am new into this 3d modeling world so excuse my wording). I have applied surface subdivision modifiers and trying to rebuild the character based on the looks, is there a better way to do this ? Am i not aware of something? Any help would be welcome!
I would recommend exporting from blender as an OBJ (no subdivisions / only posed models), then importing it into MeshLab, merging close vertices (to 'repair' the mesh), then applying butterfly subdivision (to 'smooth' the mesh). I'll be happy to make another video on this process in the future - will be at least 2 weeks before i can do this though due to some personal stuff at the moment.

Sorry, not sure about the particles. Obsidian does export everything there, might have a bit of manual intervention to get them right though :(

The hash tables on Obsidian won't have seraphine yet, that can take a little bit to be updated :'(
