Can you Atlas being "out" make you dizzy?

  • There's a lot of misunderstanding around your atlas (your upper cervical spine) and how it can feel "out of place" or "dislocated"
    It's important to know that if you atlas ever was actually dislocated, it's because of some traumatic event or something more serious.
    What can happen is your atlas can become stuck in a particular position within it's normal range which can cause stiffness or tightness.

    My C1 is more on the left side but it stuck there as a natural place and I have a really bad TMD in the right side and my face is asymmetrical is more shifted on the left I can't find the comfortable bite should I start from the posture or see the dentist first and thank you so much not a lot of people talk about it

      Cervical instability as a term leaves a lot of gray room. There is a difference between acute instability that needs bracing and surgery (typically after trauma), and mild laxity.
